This song is one of many out of a vast range of sounds they’ve tried but this song was written when the singer was homesick and he wrote it as a way to say the things he’d want to say to his loved ones if he never got to see them again. The video reflects that in the way he’s speaking at his own funeral to his loved ones and the combination of the two gave me chills. I think it’s stunning.
The song was written by Damiano when he was in L.A for 3 months., his girlfriend was sick back in Italy and his family couldn't travel. He felt very alone and started to think what would it be like if he died or never could see his loved one again. The guitar solo has been inspired by the solo Thomas has been playing live in Le Parole Lontane which is one of my favorites of their ballads. Vent'anni is a true masterpiece and the video and son Torna a Casa is a work of art.

Interesting about Beggin' they were assigned the song when they were on Italian X FACTOR. They released it on their first EP, but never promoted it. Some fans put it on TikToc and it blew up without them even knowing anything about it. Please check out Il Ballo della Vita or Teatro d'Ira.
the fact is, Måneskin are really eclectic, they are good with ballads and harder songs, they have polished and raw songs, and is soo good imho cause they don't care about the genres but about what they want to do. If you want to hear harder songs of theirs, you should listen to Zitti e buoni or In Nome del Padre. This song is their first English balad, but if this is too polished for you, you might like the live version of it better.

That's not the best song of them if you were expecting hard rock sounds. You should listen to 'Zitti e Buoni' - that won Eurovision 2021 -, 'In nome del padre' (which I love) and also 'Lividi sui gomiti', all in Italian. It's a commercial song? Yes. When they sing in italian is much better? Yes. But in my opinon it's a beautiful song, the lyrics, the melody, really "emo", but I like it. You need to listen the others songs, that are more original. You should listening the album Teatro d'Ira to understand Maneskin.

I do agree that this is probably their most "commercial" song but they decide to experiment on lots of stuff; I feel like you should give other songs from them a go and then you will understand (Also I kinda like your tecnical reviews and it's a pity you decided to not pick them up over the year)
im a spaniard and i love their italian songs more so then their english ones which i find have no emotion except for this one. you should check out their PAROLE LONTANE which for me is a mastepiece the video .
One of my favorites of their Le Parole Lontane, I can sing almost the whole song. I read once, when they want to have fun and dance Damiano writes in English, when they want to express deep emotions it has to be in Italian. Even this song while emotional doesn't have the poetry of any of the Italian ballads.

I agree with part of your opinion, yes..I think this one is a lil bit commercial, something for a larger target but I love Maneskin so much, they are still young, they started younger too, always together but in my opinion they are also taletend guys, humble enought to know they can alway get better and better. To the beginning: Maneskin is a fantastic band.... in the past. But there is a slight doubt in that for the future, because you feel right. Why ? They were signed by Sony Italy. They were highly sucssessful in Italy until 2021, with 7 or 8 songs charting Top 10. Last year, in May 2021, they won the Eurovison Song Contest with "Zitti e Buoni", a fantastic rock song. They won against all expectations of the music industry. Not broadly known in the US, the Song Contest is one of the biggest TV shows on earth with over 250 Mill people watching it. Shortly after this, "Beggin" went viral on Tiktok and became worldwide No.1. "Beggin" was part of thier covers made for X-factor Italy in 2016/17. Also thier gender fluidity look is broadly accepted by teens. The reaction of thier label is predictable. Now Sony put lots of ressurces in them to push them worldwide and especially in the US market. Like: Opener for the Stones in Dallas, Tonight Show by Jimmy Fallon and, and, and... And it works, it reached already your ears. For the marketing, they are aimed for teens (Tiktok, look of the band) and young twens. And thier next promoted songs must be "commercial" to hit this groups. To clarify this "The Loneliest" like "Supermodel" or "Mamamia" are a good song, but they have done it much better. We all hope that thier next longer release "Rush" also contains some of the material we love. My suggestion for Maneskin: "For Your Love" in the WDR 1live session. Ballad "Coraline" with lyrics on (there is no official live video) Some of thier Global Citizens Channel life acts, like "We gonna Dance on Gasoline" or Billy Eilish cover "Bury a Friend" and thier greatest hit until 2021 "Torna a Casa"

Не понимаю, как новые серьёзные, известные продюсеры и соавторы не поняли, что нельзя "разглаживать " звучание Maneskin - их индивидуальность просто исчезает! Это первый альбом (он выйдет в январе), который трудно петь и выучить наизусть ! Все их итальянские песни запоминались мгновенно, публика везде,от Мексики до Нидерландов, поёт вместе, (и вместо😅! ) с Дамиано !!! Да , конечно, живое исполнение всё исправляет, и вот сейчас в Сиэтле я наконец-то услышала другие ноты, другую гитару , нормальный голос Дамиано - Maneskin "вернули " себе эту вобщем красивую песню, нашли эмоции! Ну ,что же, это серьёзный опыт для них, понимание, что даже работа на дорогих, мирового уровня студиях, не даёт гарантии нужного результата, им нужно самим повышать технический уровень,свою независимость, отказываться от чего то, всегда настаивать на своём! В прошлых альбомах, практически "живых", очень разнообразных, у них это успешно получалось невзирая на очень юный возраст.... @@lucanicoletti2471 We know... we cover a lot of international bands and support them. We appreciate the tip, but when you add "Wake Up!" - that's not a tip, that's calling us out. We know about the feature, but we use a different, more expensive software that gives us more production features. You just can't record straight from RU-vid. You have to use OBS, which we find to be very limiting and inconsistent.

If being commercial means that you convey your opinion and feelings in a way that could reach many people, then what's wrong with that?
