I'm not someone who cries easily, didn't even cry for the recent festa. I was excited to see Jin perform this song. My heart broke at how pure his smile was and how he almost seemed as if he was accepting everything and when he laughed at the end, that was my last straw. I was genuinely surprised at myself... Damn it, I am crying again! It makes me really happy seeing you enjoying Jin and BTS so much, because they mean so much to me after my almost 4 yrs of being ARMY (went by in the blink of an eye). I know other ARMYs will tell you all the easter eggs but the guitar in the room is the guitar that Chris gave to Jin. 💜💜 Please watch Chris's speech at the show last Friday and Jin's performance - I was at the theatre for this and I was bawling my eyes out, it was the most pure, genuine, wholesome expression of love and friendship I have ever seen. The MV has such a beautiful story. Jin is an alien (or an astronaut) whose spaceship crashes on earth. He finds a family while waiting for his spaceship to be repaired. The little girl represents ARMY. Jin starts to care about her and gives her his helmet to protect her. When the ship is finally ready to take off, Jin decides to stay on earth because he has found his home. He then write down the word "family" on the crossword. I think the reason why Jin doesn't smile much on the MV is because he's from a different planet and it's probably his first time on earth. Over time, he learns to love the place and don't want to leave (hence the smile near the end). I've seen some people saying that this might represent Jin's personal experience. Jin wanted to be an actor at first, but he joined BTS instead and now he doesn't want to leave because he's found his home: ARMY. Brb crying in the corner

My favorite thing about getting new music from BTS and the members is that I never have to worry about it being good. Even when I have an idea of what it will sound like based on teasers or descriptions from the media they still manage to surprise me and make something that is worthy of looping for days. I believe that among all the boys, Jin is the one who dedicates himself the most to the armys. Everything he does is thinking about the fans. Every solo song he's released is special to us, because he always wants to communicate his love to us (and sad and lost moments like Abyss and Tonight). He is so special, kind, and always responsible. Always taking care of all the members, he is always keeping an eye on the boys. His voice is my favorite, super powerful, touching, sincere and very technical. Silver Voice! It's sad that people always fall asleep to this amazing voice, but not everyone has that sensitive and attentive eye for these amazing voices! The lyrics of this song that Jin co-wrote and all the symbolism in this music video mean so much to ARMYs. Jin is someone who just grabs your heartstrings and doesn’t let go with his music. His love for his 6 brothers and ARMYs is so deep and so pure. The live performance of this song had me feeling so much simultaneous joy, sadness and hope all at once. So grateful to Chris Martin and Coldplay for gifting Jin with this masterpiece and letting him bring it to life at their concert as parting gift to ARMYs.

It's a story about someone from a different world who crashed here.He found a family that took him and and he got really close to the little girl. The photos on the walls are members and the picture she drew of the two of the also has 7 stars on it. He told put the helmet on her as a way to tell her to take care of he self and he left because the stream of light meant his ship was fixed but then when it was ready to take off he decided his love for the girl and her wotld was worth going back for. Jin said he wanted a song to say goodbye but just for a little while and to show his heart to Army. Its a beautiful video. I cry every time I watch reaction of the mv because of the interpretation… the song and the video make me think a lot in his feelings and in the feelings of the BTS in general, they are going to be apart more time that ever in 10 years… it’s going to be hard!! 😢

in the video jin is supposed to be an alien that crashed on earth and is living there waiting for the people from his planet to come pick him up. while waiting he becomes friends with the little girl and you can see that he isn’t ‘human’ because of how he doesn’t show any emotion whatever he is doing with the girl or she is doing to him. but in the end, you see him realize that the people of the earth and the girl make him smile and he starts to show his emotions. i don’t see many people point this out but to me that’s one of the most touching details in the mv.

well i am happy to subscribe i did it 2 weeks ago , and surely be with you guys in journey , as in a way i want to revive my memories with them since 2016-2017 when i starting falling to them . i am going through something and i hope i will keep surviving as jin oppa and whole bts always said to us .

I was prepared for the enlistment since the festa this year, and then their recent concert in Busan their speeches confirmed it for me, I mentally prepared myself for a long time but then this song release seeing him accepting it and in a way saying a happy goodbye for a little while made me cry my eyes out lol thank you for the reaction ☺ This song definitely was added to my soft playlist.

Thank you for reacting to this! With the little girl almost like his little sister, I think he views ARMY in a way an older brother would (even though a number of ARMY are older than him). When replying to fan posts on weverse, his responses often sound sassy when translated to English but the tones are apparently quite fond in the original Korean. I attributed the blank face he has most of the time because he's not from Earth and doesn't know Earth mannerisms and stuff. He crash landed, a family took him in, he was going to leave when he saw his ship being repaired but realized he wanted to stay with his newfound loved ones. Going through everyone's solo songs really help get a taste for everyone's vocal range and skills. Each has at least one solo song for the albums Wings (2016), Love Yourself: Answer (2018), and Map of the Soul: 7 (2020) along with mixtapes or gifts for ARMY and the current solo work we are getting now.

This song made me so emotional, specially that part where he helps that girl ride the bicycle and the fact that the helmet was purple made it more heartwarming. But what really made me cry was the live performance with Coldplay, you can see that Jin is try to fight back his tears, he even left the stage earlier because of that. Cant imagine life without BTS anymore. Its sad that they must join the army, but time flies and soon we will welcome our 7 very special Bangtan Boys back. A little backstory on Jin. You may know already that he never set out to be an idol. He was scouted off the streets by Bighit Entertainment. It was really hard for him cuz he had no singing or dance experience. Even so, he worked extra hard, waking up earlier than everyone to workout and practice. He even did an extremely difficult diet for 1 year. He's a bit of an unique dude and he mentioned that he used to be more negative but decided to change his outlook to help himself and others. He often says he wants to show Army the best side of himself. At one of their early fan meetup he said that he never really enjoyed what they were doing until he met with Army and bonded with them. They gave him a reason to dream and they helped him fulfill those dream. This is why he has such an unbreakable bond with Army. In the MV he is an alien and the little girl teaches him to be happy and in turn he is able to help her learn and grow too. This is representative of his relationship with Army and some also say with the members as well.

I agree about the song id love it even if it was not a Jin song. But it makes it more powerful and emotional because its his song and the meaning of the song towards Army. Its one of my favorites now. The live performance is even more emotional and powerful. I am also glad they at the end they didn't show the little girl because its meant to say to be continued ill be back and he will and I can wait for all of them. Since everyone has already told you so much about this song and music video i will just make a recommendation (request) for a future reaction. Every single solo song of Jin is incredible in my opinion but i hope you really react to "Epiphany" (studio and live) as well as another song called "Yours". "Yours" is an OST (Original Soundtrack) from a Korean drama that Jin sings. And you mentioned you were interested in his range so this is a personal favourite of mine although there is no live performance of this song but epiphany will have you covered for that. I am sure you guys will love these two songs because Jin has an incredible range. And i love all 7 members and love all 4 members of the vocal line but there is something about Jins voice that just touches my soul. He has this innate talent of painting emotions in his voice like no other.

My interpretation of this mv was that Jin is an alien, he comes to Earth, meets the little girl (ARMY), finds a new home with her, when it was time for him to leave he gives his helmet to the girl, goes back to his spaceship but decides that he doesn't want to leave, so he comes back to his home, the girl (ARMY).. Jin is telling us that he has to leave for a little while but he'll be back home to us and that's everything we needed right now. This song is such a banger. Just some simple interpretation that I have is that little girl represents bts members and army as a whole! Some shuttle things through out the music videi represents bts members all of his younger brothers, and the way he played with the girl, taught the girl how to ride the bicycle, cheered her on and how the little gave him a purpose to stay, made him feel, became his family for me that little girls represents his younger members of bts and the ending says that he was hone for a while but ultimately he came back, came back for his family, army, and the cozy feeling and the girl, in this context, armies and bts members were still there waiting for him!!! There is huge moon, astraunaut, and even coldplay's music of sphere and the lost song aurora's reference throughout the video though 😅

I suggest you watch the live performance especially were Chris introduced Jin and Chris talked about the backstory of the song and the collab with BTS. And when Jin run towards Chris to give each other a hug and then Chris gave Jin a brotherly kiss. An emotional moment for everybody.
