I can relate to Savannah having the smallest luggage. When you are an airline employee, you learn to pack light and it flows to your family members as well.

I think a "Ball" would be nice for everyone to get a chance to wear there wedding dresses again because I agree with Savannah. I wouldn't want to spend a ton of money on a dress I'm only gonna wear once. So doing a "Ball" one a year or every other year would be pretty cool. Also I got sooooooo excited when Crystal said that y'all were going to Kleinfield's to wedding dress shop! I watch the show ALL THE TIME. I really hope we get a chance to see a little bit of y'all shopping and trying on, you are going to look ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL in anything you put on Savannah. Every year for their anniversary, they can have pictures done. Savannah can wear her wedding dress and Alex can wear his tux. That way she gets to wear her dress more than once. And then each year add a photo next to the one from the year before and watch how much you grow together throughout your marriage.

I don’t know if it’s something that’s done in the US but in the UK, traditionally wedding dresses were made into the christening gown for when the couple have a baby. My grandparents had the wedding dress made into a couple of gowns and they’ve been passed down throughout the generations which is really sweet

Or a tradition I personally love is turning your wedding dress into an evening gown and wearing it in your anniversary's

I'm an avid thrifter who does re-sale, and my dad was over one day, and he was asking me why anyone would ever just give away their wedding dress because I had found a few designer ones. I asked him where a women would ever be able to wear them again...and he looked kind of miffed, like, yeah, you're right, lol. It's so sad that it's so beautiful and pricey and all the things, but it will only ever see use if you pass it on or maybe wear it again for a vow renewal.

Hi from the u.k, my late mother in law got married in 1966 and her wedding dress got made into a baby's christening gown. Her 4 children and 13 out of her 16 grandchildren have also been christened in it. Now some of her great grandchildren are going to wear it but sadly she is not hear to see it.

New York looks amazing so happy this vlog came out can't wait to see what dress savannah chooses also the bridesmaids dresses , also to see her mom for the first time on a vlog ,my daughter is getting married in September after having to postpone it twice for covid so I'm really excited and looking forward to it but the only thing is I can't find anything to wear as I hate dresses and hers is a church wedding wish I had help in finding the right outfit for a mother of the bride

I know what you mean about that heat! It’s been brutal! I had to cut my grass the other day here in Florida and after just 30 minutes out in that 102 degrees, 97% humidity..I was dying. At least when I was in the Midwest etc it was a dry heat, not with the humidity. The humidity makes it soooooooo much worse.

Love that you get to meet Savannah's mom! Yeah definitely weird trend. I know people that have made christening gowns for their baby out of wedding dress that the mom wore. Another idea if you decide you don't want to keep is to donate it to a hospital baby bereavement program where they use it to make little outfits for babies that didn't make it! Upstate New York is much different 🤣 check out the "Finger Lakes" all lakes, tons of farms, we sign agriculture agreements when we buy houses understanding we have certain smells and tractor traffic jams! NYC hits different. The vibe is fun and loud but great to visit! Enjoy!!

I know so many people that have their wedding dresses altered after their wedding - they end up with tops, skirts, trousers (I can't say 'pants' as that's underwear here in the UK!!) - others make home decor with bits of the dress - would be fabulous with sparkles!

My sister C took months to find the right dress and spoke to a lady at department store in the mall who knew exactly what she meant. She brought out the perfect dress for her, simple and classic, and we bought it. When my other sister K was getting married later on, she was nearly hysterical because her in laws to be were pushing her to just choose one and she didn't like any of the choices. C came to the store and kicked everyone else out and asked her what kind of dress she did like and K was like "something like yours. That one was perfect!" So my sister K wore C's wedding dress for her wedding too and they both looked and felt beautiful in the dress. C and K now have 8 daughters between them and the oldest 5 have tried on the wedding dress just for fun and they all looked stunning so that is an option if any of them choose (the oldest is 20 and the youngest is only 3). My cousin (who we had custody of for awhile) wore my mother's wedding dress on her wedding day too. It was beautiful and meaningful. I think picking a brand new dress that never gets used again is wasteful and this is a nice alternative.

I'm surprised Savanna didn't tell you that its really not worth the money to take Uber from JFK to Times Square. 1) nyc traffic is crazy 2) you're better off on mass transit Enjoy your time in NYC though:)

No to wearing your wedding dress to someone else's wedding you would upstage the bride. I like the idea of a grownup prom! Also it's smaaaaaaaart to spend on the marriage and not the wedding. So maybe a down payment on a house and or a family style vehicle. It's also very wise to invest in couples counseling and or financial planning classes.

I recommend to go to Madame Tussaud’s if y’all have time ! I went to New York like two weeks ago! Go to Central Park ! Oh and the sandwiches are so good from the deli !!
