Whats amazing about his lyrics is that it paints a picture and tells a story at the same time. Often aggressive or heart felt you can see and feel what he's talking about. It's truly poetry.
First chorus-It's about a best/close friend going to prison, while there they convert to Islam and then says they want to live a different life and keep themselves out of trouble when the are finally realised. Tupac says 'Ok-as long as it's improving YOU I can't be really mad at that, I understand that so congratulations on settling down with your wife and I understand that this big money scheme I have you want no part of it but I know I've got a friend for life so at present your living your life but if I need help I know you will be down for me if I really need you. He is saying he had so much respect for this person that although he found his sister attractive he never did anything, didn't try it on out of loyalty to his friend, it was a line he would not cross.
