There was a lot of beef between East & West coast rappers. Biggie was the biggest of the East coast & 2 Pac was the biggest of the West coast at the time. Tupac was shot 5 times and survived, then made this song directed at Biggie because he believed he or his crew was involved. Not long after this 2 Pac was gunned down in Las Vegas in a drive-by shooting and there were a lot of rumors at the time that Biggie or someone from his crew did it, though no one was ever arrested for it. Several months later, Biggie was killed and it was seen as revenge for the killing of 2 Pac though, yet again, no one was ever arrested for it.

Tupac was going to leave Death Row and squash the beef between Est Side and West side. He was also going to set up a record label that would include East Coast and West coast artists. I think Suge Knght had it done because his cash cow was bailing on him.

How could Suge Knight have something to do with Pac getting killed when he was in the same car. Suge was shot in the head, there’s no way you could set that up and say graze me in the head but don’t kill me. Pac was killed by Baby Lane Orlando Anderson who they jumped in that casino after the Tyson fight. Kefee Dee who was also in the car confirmed all of this. Biggie was killed because 2Pac was killed.

this was a response to Biggie's "Who Shot Ya" and yeah, Pac did not hold back. interesting fact is the "Take Money" in the background is Faith Evans. he apparently had her sing a hook and sign off on it before she knew it would be used for this. so he used Biggie's wife's voice in the background of a diss on him. dude was savage. i think it was Prodigy that had sickle cell, he caught a stray just for being on Bad Boy, same with Lil Kim i believe, it was just her association with Biggie that got her brought in.

This is all part of the west coast vs east coast beef. Pac was shot 5 times in a hotel lobby (“5 shots couldn’t drop me, I took it and smile”) going to meet Biggie and he thought Biggie set him up. And this diss was released when Biggie dropped “who shot ya” which he didn’t say it was directed at pac but for alot of people and pac himself that was enough proof that biggie set him up and so he released hit em up on him and that really made the west coast vs east coast beef go violent, at that point there was no choosing both. You either picked pac or Biggie. You would be murdered if you were to go into compton and started playing Biggie, or if you went to brooklyn and played 2pac. In the same year Pac would be shot again while leaving a mike tyson fight in Las Vegas, and this time he didn’t make it. Alot of people though biggie had him killed but personally I think it was just because he jumped this guy named Orlando Anderson and Orlando Anderson just Retaliated against pac when he got the chance. But at the time alot of people though Biggie put out the hit and so about a year later in 1997 Biggie moved to California (which I think was a huge mistake to do that, especially so early) and in march of that year was shot dead. I personally think Tupacs people had Biggie killed because they thought that Biggie had pac killed. This was some real real beef, it caused the death of the top 2 greatest rappers of all time.

The "East Coast West Coast beef" was media driven, it wasn’t a real thing. It was one man that felt betrayed by a friend because he knew Pac was gonna get robbed and never warned him about it.Big knew it was gonna happen to cuz his homeboy and (manager I think) Jimmy Henchmen set it up. All the Outlaws were from the East Coast and Tupac was just starting to record an album called "One Nation" withe rappers from the East and West before he died. He didn’t really have a problem wit the East, jus some people that lived out there

Tu pac is one of my all time favorite rappers from back in the day. Yes they had a true rival back then it was legit. They beefed at each other through their lyrics a time before social media, so we had to wait til the next album came out to find out what was going on both sides of the tracks meaning both rival sides. It was an intense time for sure between the bloods and crips or as others would say the East coast and the West coast. Snoop Dogg actually put together a protest to stop the violence and to come together. I’ll always remember where I was when Tupac got shot the last time around like most of back in the day would. It was all over the radio which back then most of us still listened to or a cassette tape. It was a different time. Thank you for sharing I’m new to your channel and enjoy seeing your reaction to music I grew up on. Blessings😇🙏🏻✨

He took Tupac’s death so hard and told his crew he wouldn’t live long after. He died about a month later. They were really close. And Outlaw was Tupac’s Group and They were going to be PAC’s first group signed to Death Row East.

Pac was absolutely convinced Biggie had something to do with him being shot. Biggie releasing "Who shot ya?" didn't help that. So when he came back, he went for the neck with this song. It was so bad that Diddy and his crew used to shut down clubs that played this song. It was a crazy time because they were so sure Pac was gonna retaliate in some crazy way. He felt so betrayed by Biggie because Pac helped Biggie come up, even let him open for him for exposure at gigs. So Pac wasn't fucking around. He was out for blood.
