Mark had a great voice and I love this album. One of the absolute best albums of the 90s. I won't belabor it, but thanks for reaching back and sharing this one. I hope they won't be lost to time. #Rest Lanegan and Van

If you wanted to hear one of the songs that Lanegan did years later-- just to hear some of the progression that he went through-- check out this one: "One Way Street" - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tYaMgkQJSyQ.htmlsi=XtkM5G9SaWIuww6E

Cool channel idea guys. I’m 62, really liked this song when it came out, then the radio stoped playing it, then you forget about it, then you find it again 30 years later and like it more than before.

The Screaming Trees went on to make the greatest Grunge album of the 90's, Dust. I think you would prefer songs from that era, the singer Mark Lanegan passed away a couple of years ago. You guys would love the film Singles, it's a RomCom set in Seattle and features members of the various bands Pearl Jam, etc. Lots of guys with long hair:)

Screaming trees with an excellent band from the early 90s. Great musicians and great lyrics. Unfortunately the lead singer was an addict and the band broke up before the 2000s due to his drug addiction. He ended up going through hell living on the streets committing crime just to feed his addiction but ended up cleaning up and getting sober and remained that way until he passed away a couple of years ago. There are many interviews with him on RU-vid. Thanks y'all! 👍🇺🇸

Ummm, Lanegan did not write this song. Screaming Trees bassist Van Conner wrote the music and lyrics to the song. Proper credit is due.

Saw them live in '93, opening for Alice In Chains. Great band. And Mark Lanegan, the lead singer, was fantastic. A deeply troubled life, but man, what a voice. May he rest.

Here's a hidden gem band that didn't get their fair shake in the 90's because of a really terrible tragedy: For Squirrels - Mighty KC

They were from Gainesville Florida, which is where I live. Sad that they were so close to breaking through and lost it all.

Odd, react to Falling trees on the anniversary of ( the singer ) Mark Lanegan's death. Coincidence? You should watch " Mark Lanegan - One way street | One take sessions "

The earlier Screaming Trees from the late 80s is, in my opinion, better. They released albums through a tiny independent punk rock label called SST Records. I also really liked the album "Uncle Anesthesia" which was recorded up the street from where I live on the northend of Seattle. The Connor brothers were really friendly, I hung-out with them a time or two before the band exploded and got bigger. Singer Mark Lanegan had an awful heroin habit, he lived homeless on the streets of Seattle for a while in the 90s. I'd recommend their song "Bed of Roses", "Uncle Anesthesia" or "Alice Said". I really love their earlier psychedelic stuff but that might be too much for this channel.
