This was from the movie "Maximum Overdrive". It was based off the machines (semis, vending machines, all electronic devices) coming to life trying to kill humans. AC/DC released an album for this, the album had 2 new instrumentals for the movie, and Who Made Who. Their songs were taken from other albums similar to a best of album.
Stephen king is a MASSIVE fan the boys were invited onto the set😊. . "They did some extra shit for him ......or .. himself" but he loves accadacca and it "sneaked" out ten mins later 😊 😊
HollaAtKrazy...Stephen King, the horror writer, is a major AC/DC fan. He thus got them to do the soundtrack for his movie "Maximum Overdrive", which he himself directed. The song "Who Made Who" is the title song on that album, but some of the meaning behind it could indeed be what you suggest. Good analysis!
This was from the soundtrack for Maximum Overdrive. About machines ‘coming to life’ and going on a murderous rampage. During a scene in the movie, a lady screams “We made you!”
When people ask me "what's your favorite ACDC song " ?, me-"ALL OF THEM ! ", but this one is near the top of the list, many interpretation's have been made about the actual meaning , so I gave up on trying to figure it out & just keep on rocking !.
The song was originally from an old horror movie called "Maximum Overdrive." It was written and directed by Stephen King and he brought in AC/DC to do the soundtrack. This song was the opening theme.
They used to play the Raffles Hotel here in Perth, Western Australia when Bon Scott lived here and was the lead singer. Canning Highway was the road they travelled down to get to the Raffles Hotel better known to them as the 'Highway To Hell". React to that one. There is a statue of Bon in Fremantle and a Memorial Gate and Plaque in Palmyra (Fremantle Cemetery), Western Australia. Probably videos on here for each of those.
Angus young the guitar player always gets a 9.5 from me check out their instrumental track called "sink the pink". Check it out if you want a mind blowing guitar track
The song was written a Steven King movie, ‘Maximum Overdrive. The theme was machines that kill people. Irony being things created by man begin killing man.
I like your interpretation of the song and moreso the video. The song was inspired by the movie Maximum Overdrive, as it was made to be part of the soundtrack. There's a line in the movie where a woman screams at a bunch of murderous (and apparently sentient) machines that they can't do this to people because "we made you!" But the idea that the video was saying we can't be copied or cloned, we are the originals has some validity. At the time their popularity was definitely on the decline from their peak in the early 80s. Hair metal bands like Motley Crue and later on Guns and Roses came for their title as the kings of hard rock/metal.
They did the soundtrack for Stephen Kings movie Maximum Overdrive. Title track of the album. You should find the movie and watch it. The songs may make more sense then. Thanks.
AC/DC originally made the Who Made Who soundtrack for the movie Maximum Overdrive in 1986, but when the movie was released the public loved the soundtrack so much the band decided to release it as an album
Dude you so need to watch Maximum Overdrive, at least once. I wish they do a reboot or remake based on Tech now days! That would be crazier than the old one.
Halestorm - it's not You Badass female lead singer and she can really belt out the notes and shred on the guitar and the drummer is her brother and there last name is Hale
1st great tune w/ Brian Johnson, the new guy. And by new I mean like 40 years an like that so yeah. Dudes be unreal so many years they always rip it up
The story of the song supposedly is that record record company was trying to push them around and they wouldn’t take it but I can’t confirm it... Who made who can also be related as to mankind whether he was created by God or evolved from the universe so there’s many different things you can take from it but here’s the real point!... being almost 59 years old the 70s and 80s were my heyday and it was just The great fun and freedom that people had back Then compared to today and the great music from that time was so top-notch that it will survive for decades to come.
Who made who was written for the Movie Maximum Overdrive. It is about aliens sending signals for all the machinery to kill all humans. It is a cult classic.
The album was the soundtrack to Stephen Kings movie Maximum Overdrive which is about the machines coming to life and killing people so I don't know if the who made who has anything to do with a movie tie in or not.
I think comment covered the bases, but yes, this was a title track for Maximum Overdrive, effectively about machines taking over the world. Put more plainly, AI.
...The lyrics follow the idea of the gadgets and devices created by mankind coming to rule over human beings instead of the other way around; the irony where humans become subservient to the technology they created...
The Databank knows my number Says I gotta pay cuz I made the Grade last year Feel it when I turn the screw Kicked around the world There aint nothin That IT can't do... A.I. Angus Intelligence!!!
Keep it simple fella who made who, it’s a philosophical question, nothing to do with the Record / label company, nothing to do with having beef with anyone . it’s just a philosophical question
