Thanks for checking out this great cover. Daneliya is a truly exceptional talent. Her potential began to be internationally recognized back in 2017, when she travelled from her home in Kazakhstan to Kiev to compete in the Voice Kids Ukraine. She was only ten when she did her blind audition of Demi Lavato's "Stone Cold" (a really hard song to take on), and absolutely blew the judges away. That blind audition alone has since had 66 million views on RU-vid. She was the Grand Winner of that contest - even though she was one of the youngest competitors - and has gone on to make her mark on Eurovision (JESC), "The World's Best", and America's Got Talent, making it to the finals last Setember. Along the way, she's dropped loads of content, including both covers and several originals like "Mama" and "Don't Cha". The vocal control, the mastery of technique, and the natural texture/timbre of her voice are simply incredible. No wonder she has over a million subscribers to her RU-vid channel, and legends of fans everywhere. There’s always talk about how exceptional singers are going to make it big all around the world and years go by and then still saying the same thing. I’ve seen ‘em come and go and in a few words it come down to this : MANAGEMENT ! Publicity! (A rare case from RU-vid publicity is Justin Bieber who made it big..but then had good Management) Yebba is a great young singer but hardly anyone heard of her and she has a YT video from 2016 with millions of view. To my understanding, Daneliya's management team is quite modest, close-knit and family-based for the most part - centred around her parents, her long-time vocal coach and producer Natalya Churakova, and her sound producer/producer Vladimir Kotkov. And she also has to contend with some limiting factors: (1) location - she's living in her home town of Almaty, Kazakhstan, not exactly in or near the centre of the music industry metropolis; (2) language - her first language is Russian, and although she has sung in Kazakh, Ukrainian, French and of course English, she is not completely fluent in any of them. Her English language skills are the best of them, but still not perfect by any means; (3) age - she is still only 14 years old, turning 15 in mid-July. She's in grade nine! And both she and her parents insist that her education must be her #1 priority at least for the next several years. That means her career as a vocalist must take a back seat, relegated to weekends, holidays, summer vacations, etc.; and (4) the impact of the pandemic - after Eurovision, "The World's Best" and AGT, she was scheduled to launch her first foray into the international concert circuit (to increase her exposure, fan base, etc.) when the pandemic hit. This has been a real body-blow to her promotion strategy. But for all that and all that, she has done remarkably well. She has remained active, even prolific, since AGT ended last September, dropping 15 new videos - that's one new release every two weeks, a pretty impressive accomplishment. She has now surpassed one million subscribers on RU-vid, which compares quite well to other prominent young singers such as Diana Ankudinova (721,000 subscribers), Morissette Amon (566,000), Angelina Jordan (564,000) and Yebba (113,000). She's signed some advertising deals, and does some acting and modeling, the proceeds of which are helping strengthen her musical career ambitions. She just signed her first recording contract with 4 Chords Records, led by Rich Fayden, noted musician and producer. And of course, all of this is anchored by her undeniable talent and unique, captivating sound. So I'd say she's off to a pretty good start...
I have been waiting for you to get to Daneliya. This little lady has been my favorite since the first time I saw and heard her sing. She is from Kazakhstan. When she was 10 she entered The Voice Kids Ukraine and sang 'Stone Cold' the response to her video went viral and at this moment has been viewed by almost 69 million. She went on to win that competition with a set of songs that grew in intensity until her final song about the costs of war in the Ukraine. When she finished there were not many dry eyes. Daneliya has always had a way of accessing the emotional center of a song and make everyone who hears her respond. She has a habit of singing other peoples songs and making them better. I have always said, 'Daneliya doesn't do covers, she does hostile take overs' because many times it will be her voice and her version of the song you end up humming to yourself. When you touch upon Angelina AND Daneliya, you touch upon the best of what the future will bring, speaking in terms of female vocalists. They are both incredibly skilled, and started out at the same age. Luckily, they are vocally so different from each other, so their fanbase won't have to discuss WHO's the better.
