It follows each of the band members separately in a sad story, until they unite during the instrumental break and final choruses. The video, somewhat darker in tone than any of the band's previous releases, touches on several of the band's real-life issues. Brian had undergone open heart surgery the previous year for a defect he has had since birth. A.J. holds a picture of a girlfriend which is dedicated to a dear friend of his who died in a car accident. The video used footage that represents Kevin and his deceased father. Nick's scene sees him save a woman to represent the fan who almost got run over by a bus. The woman who Howie sees represents his sister, who died a year earlier of the disease Lupus. Additionally, the bus that A.J. rides is marked for "Denniz Street", and is driven by an actor who resembles Denniz PoP (who died in 1998 and produced some Backstreet Boys tracks, besides being the mentor of the song's producer Max Martin).
Everything you're seeing in the video showed that something happened to the guys in real life. Brian was born with a heart murmur, he went through open-heart surgery to get it treated back in '98, Kevin lost his father at 19 to cancer, AJ lost his friend in a tragic car accident when he was a teenager. Howie's sister had died of lupus the previous year. The bus is bound for Denniz St, which is an homage to Denniz Pop, one of the band's producers who died of stomach cancer the previous summer.
I like your vids, you have an old soul. This song got me thru the deaths in my family now I'm the only one left. Everyday that goes by the closer I get to my true home. Hugs from me in San Antonio. I grew up in Pasadena Tx. so Big Hug Back to you Brother. GBY 💝
The Backstreet Boys still do they thing. They’ve been touring regular since 2005. They only faded from the spotlight in 2003 cuz AJ had an alcohol and cocaine problem, but they’ve been touring and releasing albums since 2005. In 2013 they celebrated they’re 20th anniversary for which they released a new album, your and documentary. In 2021 they released DNA, and are reportedly working on something for they’re 30th anniversary
To add to this comment, Backstreet Boys are celebrating their 30th anniversary so everyone go over to they channel and show love for not a Boy Band, but a Vocal Harmony group
Hate these fake "first time hearing" reactions. so we're supposed to believe that you've never set foot in a store, out in public or turned on the radio in your life? only people on earth that have never heard BSB are jungle tribes in the amazon.
