OMG! Seeing him now brought tears to my eyes! I thought I was going to see 80's Billy Ocean! I'm shocked surprised and happy to see him as he is now! A beautiful grey fox, looking gorgeous and healthy with his beautiful voice still intact! So many didn't made it! I am so happy!
I disagree. Vast areas of his career was missing, late-70s-early80s... Late 80s till now ... He should have a far higher output than he has. Especially with a voice like that.
Such a lovely song. Caribbean Queen was one of his hits - great dance song. Just found out that Billy was a tailor and worked in the famous Saville Row in London.

Billy Ocean was close to 35 years old when Suddenly became a hit in 1984,, I just listened to the studio version and this performance really has more soul. Beautiful love song ....
A gifted artist! And when you think that this version, here, was 20-30 years after he originally released the song, and that it sounds at LEAST as good as when it first came out...pretty amazing. Listen to his old stuff, then you hear what real talent is. Jovaughn you must play more of him, his up there with the very very best. He started growing, his hair out after 1989. Voice of an angel.
I got such a shock as i remember him being a young guy! Im forgeting how fast the years are going but honestly Billy Ocean sounds even better than when he was a young chap, he even looks good wth his grey dreads. Beautiful voice .
He put his rocket shop career on hold, as it were, so he could be closer with his family/children. His now grown daughter sings sometimes with him. She is a talent too and is as gorgeous as he is. 😍Billy Ocean

Keep in mind this wonderful man is sitting on a chair with a guitar and a mic, no band, no synthesizers, no equalizers, no computers...just himself and he sounds perfect. This man is a true singer
In my opinion, there are so few artists who still sound just as good now as they did 30 to 40 years ago, and Billy Ocean is most definitely one of them. His voice is like liquid gold! And this acoustic version is simply stunning!

First time I heard of Billy Ocean was the song "Love Really Hurts Without You" which is another great song and shows a totally different side to him, never seen this live version of this before, it's so beautiful, another lovely reaction from you J

Billy ocean is so underated. He is definetly one of the very best. He still delivers amazing vocals at age of 72. His version of, no woman no cry is fantastic.
Haven't listened to Bill Ocean in ages - glad he still doing his thing all these years later and still sounding great. Definitely check out Caribbean Queen!

I probably haven't listened to this song since the 80's. I forgot how beautiful it was. And memorable - I found myself singing along right from the start. More than 30 years later, I hadn't forgotten a single lyric. And that voice! It stays with you.

Billy Ocean is so great. I know others have recommended Caribbean Queen and it is really good, but I also want to recommend Get Outta My Dreams, and Into My Car - such a fun song. This song, Suddenly, the priest who married my brother and sister-in-law 30 years ago surprised the whole congregation (including the bride and groom) when he broke out into this song during the ceremony - it was so good. I LOVE Billy Ocean, i always have, hadnt seen him in a few years so seeing him here, older yes but his voice is even sweeter, hes just amazing & even though his wonderful nature & temperarance shows though as he sings, he really is as beautiful a human being as his voice is.
