@@kpoplove8306 JISOO said to Teddy, "Oppa, do you remember how we had to record that whistling sound 1,000 times in 'WHISTLE'?" BLACKPINK members laughed and Teddy laughingly responded, "Of course. I'll never forget that."
You need to see the "Whistle" dance practice as it is one of their best dance performances along with the one for "Forever Young". "How You Like That" dance performance has over 1 billion views and is also a must watch.
Fun fact: whistle was the first song released. The last line "...everytime I show up blow up huh".. Then the next song was BOOMBAYAH! The clever of releasing these 2 songs during their debut is chef kiss.
Their producer, Teddy, was actually a little nervous and skeptical about the success of this song because of the ‘country’ elements in the song. It completely exceeded his expectations, especially since this was one of their debut songs. Please react to CL!
boombayah was what everyone expected from a yg group at that time. But whistle was new sounds from kpop which just showed blackpink has much more to offer in other ways so it showed their true potential and i always prefer it. even now there is no song like whistle thats comparable. many new stans dont agree but true pink punk OGs know this.
Can you guys to [XG Tape#2] Galz Xypher? It's by global girl group XG, I think you guys would definitely like it. They rap over several samples including J.I.D, they're some of the best female rappers in kpop I've seen so far.
OMG!!! thank you for recommending it! i was gonna recommend it to these boys and stumbled upon your comment! thank you!!! Bob, Nick, really... if you guys are in the mood for reacting to a new Girl Group doing chyper with sample from OG's rappers, you can watch this one... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--L4Visli9sA.html
There seems to be a disagreement about which video was released first, this one or Boombayah. They were both released around the same time, maybe even the same day. But I remember watching the Netflix Documentary "Light Up The Sky" and the girls were in the studio talking with Teddy about this song. Teddy states that "nobody" wanted to release it because it had a country vibe. Not sure who he was referring to but he went on to say "screw it" and it was released. Thank you Teddy! This became my ringtone for quite some time after and now it is Boombayah. Gotta love their first MV releases.
Guys, you also have to watch their live performances. Because their choreo and song combination - that what make them BLACK PINK. So, you can not know their choreo. You gotta watch how they move!
I Think you should react to Jennie and Lisa English Rap parts (color coded) Lyrics, as most of the songs are done in Japanese and in those versions, they have rap in English, and it hits different. - name of the video: BLACKPINK Jennie & Lisa - English Rap Parts (2022 UPDATE) [Color Coded Lyrics/Eng]
