My favorite band for the last 15 years. No one sings their emotions better than Justin.

Blue October has so much incredible music. There is an acoustic version of this song as well that has a different feeling and is really amazing and worth listening to, even on your own.

I've never heard of this band before, but I will be hearing more for sure! Beautiful.

Hate Me is one of their biggest songs. The live version from the 10th anniversary concert In Texas is one of my favorite live performances of all time.

Have been loving Blue October for 20+ years now, go down the rabbit hole! Ryan Delahoussaye is the multi-instrumentalist (keys) player, I swear he can play any instrument handed to him. His main instrument is the violin, and it's always beautiful. I highly recommend watching any of their live videos as well, seeing them in concert is amazing.

I loved this band for so long. “Hate Me” was my jam when I was younger. I love the maturity of his spirit when he sings. This song gives me chills by the end, every time.

This is such a beautiful song. I saw Juistin in a mostly acoustic performance - absolutely great. His lyrics are really introspective, and he was very humble with those attending. Salvo, you should check out Hate Me. It is probably Blue October's most iconic video, delving deep into the mind of addiction. RIP to his mom, and congrats to Justin as he closes in on 12 of sobriety.

I LOVE this song. Wow! It is reflective and empowering! His voice reminds me a little of some other artists like Sting or Peter Gabriel! Adding this to my playlist ❤

I love that you research the band like you do

Their music is always a journey. Each song is a chapter from his life. He delivers raw emotion, but also refined vocal skill. The rest of the band are great too. Ryan is potentially the most impressive in that he'll play keyboard, violin, guitar and sing backup vocals, sometimes all in the same song. If you wanna see that, I'd suggest you listen to "Blue October - Light You Up [Official Live Video]" from their live show in Texas.

I don't know why Blue October isn't more popular. Justin Furstenfeld has a beautiful voice and is a great songwriter. I compare him to Allansis Morrisette in that their both great singers, songwriters, and alot of their songwriting is based off their own lives. This is especially true with Justin. Justin struggled with drug addiction in the past and his songs "Hate Me" and "Chameleon Boy" deal with that struggle. I am a recovered alcoholic and I relapsed majorly after 30 years of being sober when my 32 year relationship and marriage to my husband came apart. It was my escape, but eventually I went to Rehab and it was there I first heard "Hate Me." My first thought was, wow, who is this guy with this beautiful voice and songwtiting skills and why am I just now hearing him? I went to RU-vid and started listening to his music and next thing you know I owned almost every CD the band put out because their loaded with great songs and I have a Blue October Tshirt. It took me a period to get and stay sober, but I finally did around the time the song "Fear" came out. I could relate to this song because I had lost so much, was scared, and worried how I was going to make it. My Sons were grown, my Dad had passed, my marriage was over, and I was caring for my Mom with Alzheimers, who I lost in 2022. I finally realized I just had to move forward, enjoy the time I had left with my Mom, enjoy my Son's when I see them, stop worrying and definitely stop drinking. I used to play this song sometimes to help me and it became my rally song to stay clean. I listened to Blue October alot and my Mom fell in love with their music too and she liked the fact he was from Houston, her hometown and I still live in Texas, though a small town. Justin lives in the pretty city of San Marcos, TX. I will have to listen closer to the keyboards because I never paid much attention to it, but in alot of his songs his pianist, named Ryan Delahoussaye plays violin and talk about awesome. It adds so much to their music. And for the record, the drummer, Jeremy Furstenfeld, is his brother.
