One of the best things about Boyz II Men is that they REALLY sound like this. No auto tune...I saw them in concert in the 90's and they put on one hell of a show! I'll never forget their "50 Candles"performance. Candles rose from under the entire stage & walkways that stretched into the audience. Class act!!
Pay attention to the bass singing. It’s the guy with the cane. He’s singing backup, so it’s kind of quiet. Thing is, he’s singing so low it’s easy to think he’s an instrument, like a bass guitar. A voice that deep is what music people call “basso profundo “ which is Italian for “really damn low.”
I just can't consider them a boy band. Boy bands are put together inorganically (see Nsync, etc), these men came together at an early age, together, and made it happen. Most importantly though: This some adult shit!
For sure! They were so awesome! One of the few "boy bands" who could hold a candle to the likes of The Stylistics, or Temptations, or The Four Tops to name a few. Check out their other stuff guys!!
There will never be a vocal harmony group like Boyz II Men again. Their voices are out of this world. You should react to a live performance. When live, their voices are amplified making them sound incredible.

I feel sorry for you guys not being able to grow up listening to music like this, like I did. I'm 46, and I remember music from 1980 up till now, and I'll be honest, the best music ever written or sung was the 80s and 90s.
You just gotta do "I'll Make Love to You", "On Bended knee" & the funeral song "It's so Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday" by Boys2Men these songs are timeless classics for a reason (they are some talented folks).
His name is Wanya Morris, he's my cousin , his mother and me are 1 St cousins.. My mother and his grandmother are sisters. He was born in Philly in the Richard Allen Projects. A jewel was found in the rough.
His voice is incredible! I'm old enough to remember when this came out and it's as good today as it was back in the day. I've always been curious to know if he ever went on to record a solo album. Please let me know if he did. I'd buy it in a heartbeat!
These guys fought to get back stage at a New Edition concert and asked them to hear them just once. Michael Bivins told them to do it on the spot, they did and two days later they were signed to a label. And the rest is history. ♥️

My sister and I played our Boyz II Men cassette over and over in our room, and it also took me back to the junior high dance floor!
1976. About 3 years ago I saw them in concert. After the show, I was in a store and the 20-something cashier asked me how my night was going. I told her I just saw Boys II Men, and she was like “What’s that?” 😳😳 I felt every one of my 40 years. 😂🤣
