My First Time Reaction to BTS Magic Shop Live! This is my first time ever reacting to or hearing BTS live and wow! They are just as AMAZING! The BTS army has been telling me to check out some of their live stuff for ages and finally we are doing it! I couldn't think of a more perfect song to be my first time reaction to BTS live than Magic Shop the song they made for all their fans performed in front of the BTS army!

Last year when they did 4 concerts in LA, they did a press conference. They were asked about how they became so big, RM, the leader responded: “If our success is 100%, 50% of it is from ARMY, and 5% from each member. The remaining 15% are from HYBE and Big Hit. That’s why we are able to succeed”. They always begin any acceptance speech with “Armyyyyyy,…” There’s no other artists more thankful. As you learn more about the circumstances of how they started you will understand. The hardships, having no money for promotions, being put aside from tv shows and media in general because they came from a small company… They started doing vlogs on RU-vid, the fan base growth was completely organic and the fans saw what was being done to them, so they became very, VERY protective. Well, 8 years later we are here: taking over the world like a storm. But they never stopped being thankful and humble. 💜

Yesss I saw that !! I think it was this year that I saw that video and my heart was so warm bro. There’s no words to describe the love I have for these guys. I’ve been an army for 2 and a half years almost 3 in June. I never thought I’d last this long but I have and it’s changed my life so much. I’m really grateful that I’m alive around bts’s time and era.

Really enjoyed your journey so far. I would like to recommend the video "An introduction to the 7 members of BTS" (2021 update) by Ida S. The first introduction video You watched was great to learning what kind of people they are but didn't really show their abilities or personalities so if you want to learn their names and positions in the group this is a great video to check out. But I have to mention that it's a lot of information at once so beware. Oh and also another good video to understanding their journey and where they came from definitely check out "The most beautiful life goes on: A Story of BTS (2021 Update) by The Asian Theory. And in the beginning they were saying "So show me" and the audience responded with "I'll show you"

I like 'The Rise of Bangtan' more - it takes time to finish the series, but you learn more in the long run. It's a 20+ part documentary from pre-debut to current times. Puts everything in context. It's good to watch 1 a week.

My suggestion is that you watch their NPR Tiny Desk Concert!! There are three songs sung live and with a live band! I love how much you are appreciating and loving both BTS and Army! I'm so happy their music fills you with joy, that's what they do for me too. There are actually several songs that BTS have said that they have written for Army or with Army in mind 💜 They are such caring, humble, thoughtful, and creative people - that they attract fans who admire those qualities. Their constant interactions (songs, WeVerse, VLive, Twitter, Instagram, concerts, live streams) just fuel our strong bond with them. We know they love Army and care about us (Jimin is always telling us to dress warmly and eat well 💜) So we love them even more. It's the best possible symbiotic relationship! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

“Rise of Bangtan” is THE BEST , it’s a fan made documentary that starts from the beginning. I would love for you to watch it. I guarantee you’ll fall deep in the rabbit hole with this series and their journey is so inspiring and genuine. There are 20 episodes so far in RU-vid. Maybe one episode per week? What do you guys think ARMY?

So he’ll need all of us here to brace him through it. But Spring Day is a rite of passage all ARMYs must go through so might as well rip the bandage off now.🤷🏻‍♀️

Can I say I think he’ll like this song when he gets to know them more? The MV for instance is a reflection of what they went through alongside Army and I am sure he’ll be more in tune with it once he knows their story more.

You kept asking "how are they doing it?" To me it's their sincerity. You can literally feel it in everything they do. They are so genuine and humble. They truly love ARMY and we can feel it radiating through their eyes, their voices, their actions. Also, regarding the lyrics, I really think you should check out proper translations to get the full meaning. Lyrics are another reason why we love BTS so much. Doolset Bangtan's web page probably has the most accurate translations and she often provides explanations and context for some of the lyrics and expressions.

I would recommend the song 2!3! In particular the live called purple ocean project. The song is also written for army during a time when both BTS and army were getting a lot of hate….and I believe the song was written to thank army for not giving up despite the hate. It’s really beautiful. This is also the live where V came up with “I purple you”, and is why purple is our color.

Just a trivia: This song is inspired by Neurosurgeon James R. Doty's book "Into the Magic shop" where the author talked about different tips and tricks which helps people to open up their heart and mind and get to know their true self.... So this song written by BTS member Jungkook he said that in this song, magic shop is a place where ARMY when feeling hopeless and exhausted, can draw a door in their mind and go there and BTS would be there for them to comfort them......Not just magic shop but they have dedicated many more songs to ARMY and they also mention ARMY in every other song..... Some of the songs which are dedicated to ARMY are - 2!3!, Home, mikrokosmos, we are bulletproof: the eternal, paradise, pied Piper, make it right etc.

One of the emotional live is at tbe O2 arena when Army surprised them singing another song they wrote to their fans, Forever Young, singing to BTS. Was beautiful. They have written numerous songs to Army. They are amazing and they love and appreciate their fans more than any other band ever. They know, and tell us all the time, how much they love Army and know the fans got then where they are and get then through hard times. jungkook wrote this song. 💜💜💜💜

Before I die i haveee to see this song performed live. Magic shop is THE song for me on this album. Magic shop, Forever Young and 2!3! are my comfort songs. The boys are really great at expressing their emotion through the lyrics and you get the full effect when it's live. Pretty hard not to cry especially when its a song dedicated to you and telling you to love yourself

A live performance not to be missed is Dimple/Pied Piper. Legendary. And it may be hard to find, but they did a Magic Shop skit at one of their musters which is funny and adorable. Nobody ever reacts to it, but it is classic BTS.

And this my friend, is why I am flying all the way across the US to see them LIVE in April! Everything you said in this video. I already mentioned how JungKook spends his VLIVES singing songs for the fans. I cannot think of another artist who does things like this. So, I will gladly pay for airfare and hotel in Vegas on a Holiday weekend, to see them LIVE!

4:55 they said this countless of times fr, but if I remember correctly that's not exactly what the song was about. This is a comfort song bts made for armys. "Magic shop" is the place in ur imagination for army and bts. In the song they basically say whenever u have a hard time, feel down or whatever you can always come to the magic shop and they will comfort you and just like how armys help bts, bts want to help army. (Like the lyrics "you gave me the best of me so you give you the best of you") Talking about the same part, (4:55) it's also a reason why I respect them so much. In concerts they give 200%, but when they get backstage they're nearly fainting and struggling to breath (who wouldn't after hardcore dancing, rapping and singing at the same time for like 3 hours straight) . It's really sad to see, but knowing they really care about the audience really makes the fanbase feel spechial. Also you're so right about shedding tears to this song hehe 🥲

I love Magic Shop because it dovetails so neatly with how I felt when I watched my first-ever mv of theirs, Dynamite, in late 2020. Stressed and frustrated and scared, and here were these seven boys pulling open a door for me and saying, "Hey, c'mon in. Their concert was attended by 346 thousand people in LA. In 2022...So they became the first artists in the music industry to be able to attract so many people to a concert.👊

It’s not a coincidence that you found BTS. We ARMY usually say that BTS finds people who are in need of uplifting, encouragement and comfort and love. And I agree with you when you say that each and everyone of their songs will take you on a roller coaster ride of emotions. BTS have a few songs dedicated to us… it’s very special and they are songs that I can’t even explain how the make me feel. Check out Moon by Jin… every time I hear that song I burst into happy tears. It’s just a emotion I can’t explain. Being loved by people who don’t even know me. And I can tell that they actually do love each and every one of us. It’s such a beautiful thing. They are such beautiful people. Really a gift to this world.

Its true that they love ARMY as much as ARMY love them. Do u know that? After attending award shows or winning awards, instead of going to after parties, they went home and turn on VLIVE, to talk and thank ARMY. They never fail to mention every award they won is ARMY's awards. Almost 9 years in the industry, breaking multiple records and even records they themselves set at the first place, they are still humble and dont let these things get to their head. In the beginning Jungkook was singing “so show me!” and ARMY responded “I’ll show you!” Magic shop is a psychodramatic technique that exchanges fear for a positive attitude, there’s a textbook “into the magic shop” which inspired this song. Honestly what you talked about in the beginning is word for word exactly what the guys wish for, their goal in life is to make us smile and dance after a long day, comfort us, listen to our stories and take away our pain. RM’s verse that goes “I was here and you were the one who came to me” and later when they all sing “you found me, you recognised me” hits so hard every time, because BTS are often ignored or misunderstood - ARMY are the ones who took the time to look and listen and recognise them for who they are and what they’re doing and resonated with their message. (Whalien 52 is a song that has a similar meaning!) They have a lot of other fan songs (2!3!, Sea, Mikrokosmos, We Are Bulletproof the eternal, …..), but maybe wait until you know a bit more of their story for those so they have more impact? I think to learn names, listening to one solo song per person will really help. I recommend the love yourself solos which have a narrative order: Euphoria (Jungkook live), Serendipity (Jimin live and mv), Just Dance (J-hope live), Love (RM live + lyric explanation on doolsetbangtan website!), Singularity (V live/mv), Seesaw (Suga live) and Epiphany (Jin live and mv)

He wanted the magic shop to be a place of comfort and support for ARMY. Also, would recommend you react to. Since they debuted, BTS have had this incredible bond with ARMY. Because they have always been so open and honest and real with us, we have become this force that can uplift them and protect them just as they do for us. The fact that they are so genuine people even though they are the biggest celebrities out there, is what makes people bond with them - how can we not. When JK wrote Magic Shop, he wanted to say to us that just as we are their de-stressors , they are ours. When our lives get hard, we just need to open the door to the Magic Shop and we will find peace and comfort. It’s a beautiful sentiment and one that I don’t think I have ever heard any other artist voice.

Such a great reaction. I can feel your genuine joy and watching them. It's fun and soo relatable. We've all been where you are. The emotion are so true. Magic Shop is very special. I have a hard time listening to it without tearing up. To get a break from emotion I would say play a fun beat driven song like Make it Right written by Ed Sheeran. It's a great song.
