What I love about BTS no two songs sound the same and you never know what style of music they will do because they done just about all. Hip-hop, edm, ballads, pop, Latin pop, jazz, R&B you name it. The most talented group I have ever sceen and the most humble. Look forward to your journey. I do recommend the bts introduction 2022 by Taylor it is the most up to date to get to know each member.
BTS has 6 music videos with over 1 billion views. Boy With Luv ft. Halsey (2019), Dynamite (2020), DNA (2017), Mic Drop Steve Aoki Remix (2017), Idol (2018), and Fake Love (2018). And technically their music video for Fire (2016) has over 1 billion views too but it's uploaded to 2 different channels (HYBE labels and 1thek) so the views are split. The members of BTS will be enlisting in the military soon and BTS had a concert in Busan South Korea on October 15th in a bid for Busan to hold the World Expo in 2030. It was their last concert with all 7 members until 2025 when they will all be done with their military service. For right now the members are concentrating on their solo projects. J-Hope put out his first official solo album called Jack In the Box in July and headlined Lollapalooza soon afterwards and tomorrow Jin will release his song called The Astronaut which he worked with Coldplay on. He will perform the song for the first time at Coldplay's concert in Argentina and soon he will begin the process of enlistment.

I'm 52 Army(name of their fandom) since 2017. BTS makes Philosophical music with very deep, meaningful lyrics . Their videos are SO complex with incredible meaningful details you need to watch Explanation Videos to be able to understand. You should absolutely react to the Introduction to the 7 Members by TAYLOR to realize that they're not a typical Boyband and to consider if you're really interested in their music.THEY'RE THE BIGGEST GROUP OF THE WHOLE WORLD.💜
I wouldn’t say this is their biggest, it’s a fan fav for introducing people to them, it hooks you in, but I promise you they have dozens of videos that are “the best” and they have straight rap songs if you’re into that, “Joke” by rm (one of the members) or “The Last” by Agust d (one of the members alias) they’re known to to do single and duo and trio songs that all Incompass them as BTS so don’t be afraid to branch out!
You said that this song was more rap heavy, and you’re definitely right. BTS actually started out as a hip hop group, and two of their three rappers were part of the underground rap scene before joining BTS. If you check out some of their earliest songs, you’ll see a lot of their hip hop influence in the music. As for their most viewed music video, I’m not sure what it is anymore! You already watched Dynamite, but I think Boy With Luv is one of the videos with the highest numbers. Recommendations as to what to watch next: On (Kinetic Manifesto Film), Black Swan, Fake Love, Spring Day. If you want to go back more than 5 years, try Blood Sweat & Tears, I Need U, Danger, or N.O.
MIC DROP is a song where they are flexing back to all the haters, especially the hip hop crowd that put them down public for becoming idols. "Mic Drop" is probably not their *biggest* song, if you measure just by number of streams or award nominations. But it serves as a good contrast to "Butter." The group's range is enormous; Americans generally only know the catchy pop tunes because the three songs that are entirely in English are in that category, and American radio won't play music that isn't in English. The rest of the world doesn't have a problem with it. BTS writes, produces, and performs in a wide range of musical genres, especially if you include the solo work they do. Agust D's "Daechwita" is about as badass a rap track as you can find; so is j-hope's "More," and RM's "God Rap." The three rappers (there are three rappers and four vocalists in the group) all have very different styles, so which one you like the most is a matter of taste. The vocalists perform everything from ballads (JK's "My You" or Jimin's "Serendipity") to R&B (V's "Singularity") to a song that would serve perfectly as the main character's "I want" song in a Broadway musical (Jin's "Awake"). They have the same range in tracks performed by the group as well, as you've seen. They can sell out multiple shows in giant stadiums in a matter of hours, and they've broken numerous worldwide records, including at least one record that was previously held by the Beatles. Their global fanbase is estimated to be around 40 million people, and MTV called their fans "the most powerful fandom in the world."
BTS has hundreds of songs displaying so many different genres. They are very diverse artists, with 3 rappers and 4 singers (who are pretty versatile themselves in their skills). That might be why they reach so many people and are today one of the biggest artist of all time (not only in the Kpop category) : no matter what music you listen to, you'll definitely find songs you'll like in their discography (and some that are not your type of music that you could still like but not necessarily). Thank you for giving BTS a chance. They are wonderful, and their music crosses so many genres, they play everything, and they aren't just a "boy band". They are so multi-talented & they really care, especially for their fans called ARMY, who in our family range from ages 4 to 89! BTS consists of 3 rappers(RM is the leader, other rappers are Suga & J-Hope and 4 vocalists (Jin, Jimin, V & Jungkook), and no one steals the spotlight. There are so many videos to check out, all different. My personal fave is the OMV to "Save Me", also love Black Swan, On: Kinetic Manifesto, MMA live 2020, Festa 2021, YET TO COME CONCERT IN BUSAN Oct. 15, 2022, the list goes on. Please watch the introduction to BTS by XCELESTE & TAYLOR to see where they came from & all they have gone thru & are still going thru to get where they are today. You should checkout their Run BTS live in Busan concert recently. The song is called RUN BTS. They have another song called RUN which was performed right after Run BTS.

This is not BTS’ biggest song. It wasn’t even the title track from the Album is was on. It was just a recommendation based on the kind of music you like, because BTS do a lot of different genres of music. They might have (just an example, not a real number) 30 songs that are more hip hop, 15 songs that are ballads, 6 songs that are rock, 40 songs that are Pop, 12 songs that are R&B, 3 songs that have a Latin flavor, 10 songs that are more EDM, 2 songs that have a reggae feel…etc. so we as ARMY are trying to direct you to the songs that will suit you the most. Once you become a fan you can slowly listen to the other genres of music and realize that they are all equally as good.

MIC DROP has over a billion, but that's not their biggest... they've got a number that are well over a billion views. Many of their MVs have broken RU-vid viewing records (fastest to 100M views, fastest to 500M views, most people watching a premiere, etc.).

Anyway, some information: It is difficult to choose a single song and say which is the best or most famous of them; BTS has 6 singles with 1B+ views on YT, Mic drop is one of them. The most famous song among "non-fans" is Dynamite (their first song in English, first to reach #1 on the billboard, first Asian act to reach, overall #1 too, in history~). The most acclaimed song by the media is Spring day (the only song in history to stay for 4/5 years on the Melon charts). The most loved song by the fans.. I would say it's Magic shop (it's a comfort song made especially for the Army), and also Spring day. Their most successful album is Map of the soul:7, with the singles Black Swan and ON (although none of the top 6 songs are part of it, it was literally the best selling album of both their career and 2020) . Well to be fair they are not quite biggest group ever yet(only global currently). Because I would say only 1/5~1/10 people have really listened to their songs. Unlike the Beetles which I would say a lot more people have heard songs from them. My personal top 3 is "Not today", "On"(Kinetic manifesto version) and "Fake love". Depends on your taste of musical genres, but I suggest you to watch MV of Black Swan, MV of ON: Kinetic Manifesto, MV of Permission to Dance, Grammy performance of Butter, performances of House of Cards/The Truth Untold/Dimple/Pier Piper, their legendary Dionysus performance on MAMA Award, performance of Run BTS on their recent Busan Concert. You'd see the diversity of their musical genres.

I recommend You to react to their live performances. For example the most recent one, Mic drop+ Run BTS life in Busan. Or their MMA 2019 (It's long, but fans love it). BTS have basically tried every genre that exists I think :) You could watch Guide by Taylor which is the most accurate and recent one, so you can get to know the members and their positions better. And additional info from me, because I didn't see it being mentioned in the comments and for me personally it is quite important: BTS's members have been involved in their music as either writers and/or producers on every album since the debut. Especially the rappers, having 130-200 credits on their accounts.

My favourite ballad is House of cards by the vocal line, live with Eng subs embedded. My favourite rap is Outro: Tear live with Eng subs …they rip my heart out.

You’ll get a summary of their story and get to know a bit about their each member, their position in the group and their music, both grupal and individual, then you can get to decide if you like them or not.

yeah biggest world wide group ever. They were really starting to build a larger North American audience as well, but they are forced to do military service so them becoming a household name here is no longer a reality unfortunately. people will say they will "release solo music and will reform in a few years" but the momentum that they had has been killed by their own government, such a shame.

You probably never heard of BTS because radio stations in the U.S. don't give them air time. I live outside Philly and I've never heard even their all-English songs played on radio around here. I found BTS in May 2021 with their Black Swan MV, but they are now my group of choice. I'm way down the rabbit hole and joined ARMY officially (Weverse Shop Membership) a few months after I found them (or they found me). Love and Respect these 7 young men so much! Thanks for keeping an open mind and watching/listening to BTS. They have 3 rappers and 4 vocalists, but actually they all can do everything at this point. Also, I read your "About" and it seems you are in to Film, etc. A lot of BTS' MV's have Behind the Scenes or Making Of videos too on their BangtanTV channel. Maybe that would interest you. There are also dance practice videos for many of their songs because the MV's don't show the complete dances, but they have performed or perform many of these songs Live (and BTS are better Live in my opinion).
