eh... for someone who likes to watch anime more than read light novels, it's fine for them to just watch the anime. I watched the anime and read the light novel up until where the anime leaves off and I really don't find a big difference. Sure, LN is a bit better but for someone who likes to watch anime over reading, there is no reason for them to read the LN before watching the anime.

COTE [without spoilers] I wouldn't just call it slice of life anime as there are a little bit of everything BUT the biggest one is what I would call "Mind Games" and romance and little bit of cheeky [I guess] it is a bit dark too . So the main point of this show is it has 4 sections of each year . From A to D and A-Class is known as the best class meanwhile D-Class is the bottom class . This is basically not just a small school BUT a whole community under the school . It was made for all the most intelligent or special students so they are invited here to come and study . The biggest thing here are the "points" . There are two types of points one points system makes the point system of Class A to D rank and the other is for a persons own personal use . As the whole school is like a community , and basically in this community ANYTHING can be bought by points , students are given their own personal points based on their results and stuff from which they buy basically ANYTHING . BUT be careful on how u spend your points is another important thing . Note that its not only studies through which a classes points are increased or decreased but rather many events may happen through out the year in which a student maybe able to gain more points for themselves or with the class as whole so they can rank up and get promoted to Class-A , B or C depending on which rank they are on . It is a very interesting show . I haven't read the light novel yet but people say it is way more interesting .

I am very happy you finally checked CotE openings out. They are amazing. The anime is also very good, and I would describe it as psychological. I really like this anime. The MC is REALLY interesting. My fav type of stories are complex stories with psychological and philosophical themes, that’s why attack on titan is my fav. But this show also has some of that so I def recommend it

I'm actually not familiar with Classroom of the Elite... which is rare, for one of these to go by that I know nothing about. I really liked the songs, especially that last ED! still recommending Dorohedoro... god I wish the polls for these were on youtube sometimes, I just can never make it to the twitch streams, I'm always busy whenever they're happening. also, just randomly wanted to say... I'd been behind on Vinland Saga for a bit and tried to do some catching up today. I made the mistake of trying to binge it, got through like 5 episodes, cried multiple times per episode, and gave myself a headache that knocked me out until mid afternoon. considering watching more. its such a deeply good show... season 2 is working with the material that season 1 left to it with such efficacy and grace, it's legitimately hard to believe how much it's nailing it. I think my favorite non-spoiler thing I can say for season 2 is that the ending song is really important to it. it's like this lovely little refrain that punctuates each episode by bringing you back to the core of everything. no matter what happens, that emotion continues, repeating and repeating, because it is the absolute most important thing. but rather than hammering it in, it sings to you, soft, like a lullaby. I'm just so glad the creators of the anime made this choice. sorry for the wildly off topic rant, but I'm just really enjoying my time with this anime, and I felt the need to say it somewhere.

Zaq has awesome openings all over the anime spectrum. One of my favorites are the love chunibyo & other delusions openings. I don't remember if you reacted to them. Another one that's good is the one they made for Highschool DxD (I don't know if you will ever react to that one considering it goes past cheeky into the realm known for nipple showing lol)

This is an interesting one. It's a school slice of life, but it is more of psychological thriller in a sense, where it is about an extreme competition in order to become elite of the elite. It is a more serious story and the target audience is "Seinen" which means its the same target audience as "Death Note" which is more mature and deals in more serious topics.

Actually that wasn't the Minami you know, but Kuribayashi Minami. She debuted in 2002 and for some reason between 2016 and 2019 she changed her stage name to just "Minami". She sung for some well known Anime Infinite Stratos, Hataraku Maou-sama!, Tales of Zestiria the X, Fate/Kaleid Liner, and more. As for ZAQ you've heard her singing in the Shokugeki no Soma (Food Wars) before. She has sung for a lot other well known Anime, like Chuunibyou Demo Koi ga Shitai, Trinity Seven, Hibike! Euphonium, Also YouZitsu is indeed about a school where they "fight" with points to come on top of the others by using their wits. It's very psychological/thriller orientated. Definitely an Anime worth to watch! It also still has a 3rd season to come (2nd and 3rd season were simultaneously announced).

this show is... something, i first watched season one and felt really mixed on it with it having such an interesting mystery but messing up a fair amount of stuff so i decided to read the original light light novel series, within a week of catching up to where season one ended season two got announced but i decided to continue reading because the books had honestly blown the show out of the water already by that point. season two was really good (especially given that the first season had made some fairly major changes to the plot) but still could not honestly hold a candle to the peaks of the story found in the original series. if the idea of reading 20+ 200 page novels is enough to steer you away from the series as a whole then go ahead and watch, theres a lot of fun to be had. but i find it really hard to recommend this show when you have to endure to baggage that comes along with it (specifically season one). the books will most likely continue to go on for a few more years and with how long it already is i dont really see anime only viewers getting a satisfying ending. if it is between watching and never experiencing this story then go ahead, despite my problems with the show the last episode of season one convinced me to read it and it has become my favourite piece of media, in any form, and there is the chance the show can do the same for you.

If you want to hear more from ZAQ, I would recommend you listen to the Trinity Seven ops, one from anime and two from movies, although only the anime one has animation, because in my opinion they are great songs and ZAQ is one of the best singers and with more trajectory in the anime industry she has sung several songs from different anime throughout history she is a professional in terms of Openings

This is the only Light Novel I've ever read and I loved it. It's about a genius MC who acts from the shadows and manipulates people. He enrolls into the mosy prestigious school that is unlike any others. It has special exams which determine your entire class' ranking (A-F). If you graduate from class A you can get any job in the world. So basically this is about an inhumanly overall strong MC and how he gets whatever outcome he wants while being unnoticed. For ppl who read the novel, do you remember the clash between the 2 T-rexes?

COTE is pretty good. It is about an elite school in Japan and the forced rivalry between 4 classes of students (A, B, C, D). You can buy anything at that school with points. It is more of a psychological thriller with cute anime girls. I really like the main character, highly intelligent but a complete sociopath.

ZAQ also wrote the endings (which would then be performed by the cast) for Non Non Biyori, which is one of my fav shows all time. Super super chill and wholesome comedy about some cute girls in the countryside. Having grown up in a small town in the country, makes me very nostalgic.

Classroom of the Elite was one of the first animes I watched, and I adore it. It's got ecchi, a cool MC, actual dialogue and characters, and action. It's great, would highly recommend it. Animation in S1 is amazing, S2 is less so but it's a better season overall imo.

This is a deathnote with smarter characters and the lack of supernatural elements and no gods of death and fewer monologs to lead you through the baby steps of their strategies. Essentially, it's just better. It is also going to get another season, so in terms of channel growth starting now is great.

Its a hyper competitive school that uses crazy tests to nurture the students to be very cunning and calculated and the MC is a big of a broken robot with far too much talent but no emotional intelligence. Really fun

Its... difficult describing it without any spoilers. All i can say without spoilers is tht i thought: oh, cool like a mystery romcom i can watch. It aint. I highly recommend it, 3rd season is coming out this year apparently (yay). If you like psychological thrillers then its a must watch. Expect some fanservice but its not to much. Only warning i have is, there is a lot of... uh how should i put that, extreme stuff going on so if you are sensitive i wouldnt recommend it. For me its 10/10

Classroom of the Elite basically tell us about a elite school that is situated in an artificial island connected to Japan through a bridge. This island acts as a mini country and has its own laws (school rules) and economy. You win currency by being in the highest score classroom, and without currency, you wont be able to afford any of the luxurious stuff offered in the school. Its a story with a lot of mind games where we follow a protagonist with lots of secrets.

If you like ZAQ then the Love, Chuunibyou & Other Delusions openings need to be reacted to (they're fantastic) Also Miniami Kuribayashi, singer of CotE ED1, did a lot of my favorite 2000s anime themes, like "Tsubasa wa Pleasure Line" from Chrno Crusade, "Shining Days" from My-HiME, and "Precious Memories" from Rumbling Hearts/Kiminozo.

Luke you actually have reacted to this artist before. They also did Braver - Food Wars. This anime is a drama, psychological, which is decent anime, but a terrible adaptation of the ln (light novel). It doesn't follow the story and twists I've heard, but still a decent watch. You also should really react to the clannad openings and the promised neverland openings, they're awesome.

Classroom of the elite really is a must see anime, apart from the fact that the 3rd season is said to be coming out this year, which is a good excuse to watch the first two seasons. Ayanokōji is one of the most badass MCs you can find, the guy really sees his classmates as part of his school supplies. ZAQ is undoubtedly one of the great voices in the industry. Very well known, yes, for this pair of Openings, but also for being the official voice of Chuunibyou Demo Koi Ga Shitai (another anime to which I would like you to react to its Openings and Endings) and some other great OPs and EDs very remembered as one of the OPs of High School DxD, the OP of Trinity Seven or the first ED of Baraou no Souretsu are incredible.
