There will never be a time I hear this song and i don't cry. I was a 23 year old mom with 3 babies and due with my 4th a month later.. during 9/11.. Looking at my babies.. Watching.. This song will never be heard without tears.

I wanted to be a Marine with every fiber of my being. I was robbed of that privilege by a disability. When I was in high school, I told a recruiter that I knew I couldn't run, jump, etc. well and that I knew what would happen to me over there, but I absolutely did not care. My fate did not matter to me one bit. I just wanted to serve. I will mourn that dream until the day I die. A friend gave me a tie clip from his uniform and told me I would have been a good Marine. I will carry that gift with me every day of my life. To those that I could not call my brothers and sisters, thank you from the very depth of my soul.

This song always makes me cry. But it needs to be heard. We can never forget

I was only four when this tragedy happened. My favorite line of this song is "Some when down like heroes in that Pennsylvania field," Those people sacrified their lives to make sure that their plane never struck the capitol building or the white house.

As horrific as the video proof is for 9/11, WWII, Vietnam, Holocaust, etc. It need to be seen, taught so our future generations don't let it happen again. At each age you experience it, you learn more and feel different

Daryl has another version of this song called Have We Forgotten. I am retired military and I love this song, and Darly Worrley is a very humble man who I have had the pleasure of meeting in 2017.

I swear I get goosebumps so bad when listening to this song! I was in 9th grade Oklahoma history class when the first tower was hit. I'll never forget!

Hey Mr okayrickk this guy Darryl Worley lived 1/2 mile down the road from me growing up really nice guy. It was in Savannah Tennessee and it was before he got famous. He has another song called when you need my love it's not bad either. He really has some good songs.

My old uniform doesn't fit anymore. But my oath is ingrained in my soul. Semper Fi President Trump.

He has come out with another song that is more of an update to how things are today called, "Have We Forgotten?" Sadly, I think we have! You might want to listen to that song too. [Life Member Disabled American Veterans]

I remember that day so well and my fear because my children were so close to Luke Air Force Base and we knew as military that that was going to be a prime target if they struck again because that's where most of the pilots trained to desert conditions. I trained at that base of the nurse and I knew the horrors that could occur and was thankful that they did not get us here but I still to this day and warn all of those lost in those events here in the US as well as the first responders that would lost trying to save anybody that they could and afterward to recover the remains for the families.

I absolutely love this song, but if I could change some lyrics, I would change them from, “some went down like heroes in that Pennsylvania field.” To, “civilians went down as heroes, in that Pennsylvania field!” Because they didn’t go down like heroes, they did go down as heroes!

Well I want to thanks the vets because I might not be old enough when 9/11 happened but that was the reason why I joined the army few months ago

I remember I talked to my Aunt and my Uncle and 2 cousins that morning getting ready for the breakfast crowd

And at 8:30 am I was headed to the flea market when it came over my CB from my cousin here and asked me to turn around and head back home that Tower 1 was hit by a plane I said don't be joking like that and she was crying she said it ain't no joke so I rushed home and dropped to my knees when I saw it

In 05 in Iraq I had a rocket ship off the top of my Humvee. that was so scary!!

When I was in hospital when this happened we watched it on the television and I told everybody in that class that we were at War because one planning to a tower anything's going to happen but too that's an attack and why I said that is because my brother spent 27 years in the army and he taught me things they probably shouldn't have and my sister said you don't know that but they didn't know that my brother was in the military but they didn't want to scare any of the kids and salute to the people a flight 93 that fought back and didn't make it to the Target and I didn't like Obama because he took credit for what Bush said his birthday that we will bring Justice to anybody that was involved not because Obama was a black person that's a whole nother story please should have never took credit for what president brush Said

Everyone looks the same when covered in the ashes and blood of a disaster. It's time for everyone to remember how it looks, feels, and just is. It gives us something to unite against. Fuck people's feelings, it's time for us to actually do something to help save the country we love

I was on a civilian detail at Ft Belvoir, VA which is quite a way from the Pentagon. Unfortunately, the hotel I was staying at was closer to the Pentagon. The one thing that I couldn't get out of my mind was the smell of the fuel burning. That stuck with me for years.
