FIRST TIME Hearing DEF LEPPARD - "Pour Some Sugar On Me" | REACTION | I LIED!!! 

Rick Allen (the drummer) is my favorite drummer! He was in a roll over car accident and the seat belt severed his arm off. The band members didn’t want to just up and get rid of him. Rick had to make the choice on what he wanted to do. So he built a special drum set so that his left leg would pick up the slack for his missing left arm. It’s amazing what people can accomplish. Btw they are a British band. They formed after Queen did.

Def Leppard are a British rock band that has been around since the late 70's. Before covid, they were constantly touring. I have seen them LIVE, here in Northern California, 8 times and they have never let me down. Joe Elliott may not have the best voice in the world, but their harmonies, guitar playing, stage chemistry, and let's not forget the amazing one armed drummer, makes them one of the best bands to see live. The thing I respect most about them is that they are true friends. The only person to ever leave the band, died. Their drummer loses his arm when her crashed a fiberglass Corvette into an old stone wall, and they kept him and helped him drum again. True loyalty.

This song was in the movie Coyote Ugly. If you see older people in a car beside you on the road and they're drumming on the steering wheel and/or headbanging...they're listening to 70's and 80's rock...lol. I know I'm guilty.

I will be seeing them for the 9th time in July 2022. I first seen them when I was 16 in 1980. They were literally unknown and man I knew they were going to around for a longtime. Their music is timeless. The drummer is Rick Allen on New Years Eve in 1984 he was in horrible car wreck and his seat belt severed his left arm off. Thy put their album on hold, he told them he was going to be back. He built a new drummer and 6 months later he was back and he labeled The Thunder God! True Brotherhood at its finest.

I was born in 1978 and I grew up listening to the stuff of the 70s, 80s and 90s. Def Leppard is also on of my all time favourites. Now some facts for you: Pour some Sugar on me is on the Album "Hysteria", which was released in 1987 and it become a ladie's song heheheheheh! Unfortunately the Band has experienced some tragedies during their career: Rick Allen (the Drummer) lost his left Arm in a car accident in 1984 at age 21 (Rick was 15 when he joined Def Leppard), but he NEVER GAVE UP drumming and is STILL the Drummer of Def Leppard. Another Tragedy was the death of Steve Clark (the tall guy with the long blond hair), who passed away in 1991 due to alcohol problems. He was only 30 years old. He will be missed.

Diamond, indeed! Even the album it's from (Hysteria) is one of the few albums to reach DIAMOND status meaning it has sold over 10,000,000 copies in the U.S. alone. And while I'll agree that this is probably their most popular song, oddly enough, it is not their biggest hit. "Love Bites" from the same album reached #1 on Billboard's Hot 100 in 1988. This song became a hit because it had became a huge stripper song down in Florida. So it started getting requested on radio and became a phenomenon.

Funny story: when I was in high school, I saw a poster for a show with a band called Blind Tiger - I believe it was a play on Def Leppard. The other Def Leppard songs you gotta react to are Rocket and Love bites
