Denis Leary once told a story of the time he and his wife had a meeting with his young son's school because the boy had been singing an obscene song. The school official was too embarrassed to say the words, so she wrote it down and asked if the parents knew the song. Denis said, "Know it? I wrote it!"

Fun Fact: Louis Ck said on and Opie and Anthony apperance that Leary stole this asshole bit from him, and then years later paid CK a bunch of money to make movie. Louis said he probably thinks it was to apologize for taking his bit, and then getting super famous from it.

I remember Dennis Leary was a pretty big comedian back when MTV first came out and in between the music videos they would sometimes show short videos of him. You should definitely watch some of his standup material. He's a really angry, truly funny guy.

This is the second reaction I have watched of yours, I am now a subscriber. I wish more reactors would react to this song. I was also on the freeway the other day, the problem I encounter is semi's. I live on top of a mountain, going up the mountain these trucks are always trying to pass a slower truck, but they aren't going fast enough to pass it. Anyway, time to watch more reactions.

I have put heard that one in years. 😂 I remember when it came out and everyone thought it was hilarious. My word, it still is! You should see the Christmas movie he did called “The Ref.” I cry every time I see it. “Slipper socks-medium!” Denis has a prolific comedy background, tons of TV and movie credits. What a guy!

I want to say No Cure for Cancer was in 1991-92? A solid decade before Dennis Leary became a household name for his sitcom work. He was one of the last of the great shock comics of the 80s amidst names like George Carlin and Rodney Dangerfield.

BAck in the day, Dennis did a special version of this song as an anti drink drive ad in the UK. It only aired a few times before the complaints got it pulled......It was really funny. Very difficult to find this version on youtube.

Every time i hear this song it makes me want to go back and watch Demolition Man again with Wesley Snipes and Sylvester Stallone. Denis Leary plays Edgar Friendly the leader in the underground. He also plays Diego the sabertooth tiger in the Ice Age kids movies.

One of the funniest things about this song is Denis Leary, a couple of years after the fact, was telling the story about how his 5 year old son somehow heard it or saw his dad singing it on TV or something, and Leary said that one day he got a call from his son's kindegarten teacher because his son was running around the classroom singing "A! S-S! H-O! L-E!" and wouldn't stop and the kid didn't even know what word he was spelling. lol
