I´ve been listening to Elvis for 55 ears, it never goes out of my heart, even though Elvis is dead, immortal songs live forever. Memories stay alive this is one of Elvis` most beautiful songs.
Listen to all his other songs and you will have a wonderful experience with the music. Elvis has very great heart touching music. You can feel the music within your heart and soul.
I had the privilege of seeing Elvis last show in Charlotte, NC. My boss had tickets for his relatives from out of town but they couldn’t make it so he invited me and my wife to go with him and his wife. We sat behind the stage and his voice was just as wonderful as ever. We were so thrilled by his music and his voice. That is a wonderful memory for me and my wife. We heard about his death a few days before our son was born in 1977. Every year on our son’s birthday we also think of Elvis.
This recording is over 50 years old, yet it still has an affect. I was 15 when he passed, 63 now, and it was truly one of those ‘I remember where I was’ moments when I heard of his passing. The most immense talent, enjoy Sarah
Some really lovely comments from you, Thank You. Lovely Lady too. No one will enrich your music life more than Elvis. You have the best Looking, best singer. And mover. 31 Films. TV shows. Concerts. Books. Elvis helped the Black Community in Music. It's all on YT Here.
Love your beautiful Elvis reactions and I just wanted to let you know that you can see him in the 68 comeback special recording this beautiful song and he is right there with the audience, singing this beautiful song in between 2 lucky ladies in the black leather suit that no one can touch , Pure Magic and Mystic. I first heard this song on the radio when I was 9 years old and sitting on my bedroom floor pasting pictures in my James Bond scrapbook. I remember pausing to listen to the song and thinking this was a special moment just like the memories Elvis was singing about. I wish I had known you then Sarah, or someone like you and we were both kids together. What confidence I would have had and how different my life would have been and turned out. ❤
Sorry...wrong song. In 1953, Elvis Presley walked into Sun Records in Memphis and recorded the song My Happiness. He was only 18. For $4, Presley was able to leave the studio with an acetate copy of the 78 RPM record, meant as a gift for his mother Gladys.
Elvis made some timeless classics, my mother and sister my younger brother and me all love elvis. We played memories at my mother's funeral. Elvis will always live on
Now you understand why he is still so popular today. The majority of today's singers only know how to yell into their mic. I have listened to him for years, all through my childhood into my "old" age.
Check out Pastor Bob Joyce (Elvis) from Benton, Arkansas. I am aiming for a trip up there to visit him in person. I'm so excited I almost break out in a cold sweat when I think about it.
