Hi Michael, I just subbed the channel, love your Elvis reaction to this song, you are no right. On , Elvis sang it All and he did it all with so I much passion, there's. No other artists today or really ever who sang all gentes of music and I don't think anyone can. They can't compare to the Greatest Showman The World has ever seen, I saw him 3 times in concert and those were the best days of my life, only 11 years old the first time in Knoxville Tennessee on April 8 1972 and that is the best day of my life, love ELVIS Forever and always, would you react to Elvis singing If I Can Dream, and Walk a mile in my shoes, then follow up with Just Pretend, and. You Gave me a mountain, loved The reaction, so great, thanks so much TCB1935🕺🕺🕺⚡⚡⚡⚡👑👑👑👑👃👃👃

Noone can sing gospel better than Elvis, not even to this day, he unashamedly allowed the Holy spirit to enter his soul. Elvis was influenced by gospel music in his early years which he converted into his type of music which is a mixture of gospel, country, R &B. Elvis remained a devoted Christian till the very end. He won a Grammy Award for his gospel album call ' How great thy Art'. Incidently went he died he was reading a Christian documentary book.

Kris Kristofferson was a a huge Elvis fan and was apparently so happy Elvis recorded this song and others he wrote and as usual, Elvis always made the song his own and sang as though it was from his own experiences, as no doubt, were. Kris also wrote "For The Good Times" and "Help Me Make It Through The Night" in his song writing days which Elvis also recorded. Yep, J.D Sumner and The Stamps are synonymous with Elvis, just as are "The Sweet Inspirations", who Whitney Houston's mother, Cissy was a member of for a short time and also as synonymous as is Kathy Westmoreland, a backup singer who Elvis often introduced. He always introduced everyone, yep, he is a legend and there'll never be another Elvis. We have been lucky to grow up in his time!

Thank you so much for acknowledging ELVIS' deep love for GOD ALMIGHTY and OUR SAVIOUR, JESUS CHRIST! GOD blessed ELVIS with a beautiful voice, wonderful CHARISMA, humbleness, humanity, love for his fellow man, kindness, generosity, a beautiful heart, and the ability to direct his band with every movement of his body, and so much more! He was definitely ONE of a kind! I have adored him my whole life and I am getting a little long in the tooth, now! I have loved him in the 50's, 60's, and 70's! I love each era! Each one, ELVIS had so much to offer us. And, one thing that makes him so special is the fact that he adapted with the times! I loved "young ELVIS"; I loved him as his voice got a little deeper in the 60's, and I definitely loved the 70's, when he was in bad health and getting a little older and so many people just mocked him and ignored him! Although it is hard to watch anything from 1976 and 1977, I still do! He was always there for his fans and I NEVER want to let HIM down! After all, He was, is, and always will be the KING OF ROCK AND ROLL and definitely deserves the title given to him! He did not give it to himself; actually he didn't like it at all! This is a title given him by his fans! Thanks so much for your glowing reaction! I will look for your reactions! I see your love for the KING in your reactions and you touched me! Thanks Again!

2:26 is my favorite part. You hear the tenor singer go wild, and Elvis looks back at him with that big smile. He went way up high, and Elvis loved it! Elvis was so humble. He recognized the greatness of each one of his backup singers in their own individual right. I don't think most people recognize the courage it took for Elvis to get up there and sing praise songs to secular audiences. It not only shows how much faith and love he had for his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, but also how much love he had for his fans. He loved them so much, that he wanted them all to hear about Jesus. Elvis wasn't a perfect man by any means. None of us are. However, I think all us Christians wish we could be though.

The peace of God! And may all honor and glory be given to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen! Sister, I would like to share with you a testimony, and this testimony involves Elvis Presley. In 1993, when I was just 5 years old, I watched a special documentary on a television station here in Brazil, in that documentary they called a man the King of Rock, the king; So I asked my mother who this king was, and she said it was Elvis, and played some of his secular songs, and also in the documentary it said that Elvis sang gospel music, although he didn't play any in the documentary. From that moment on, hearing his voice and seeing his beauty, I fell in love and Elvis became my favorite artist. As a teenager, from the age of 11, I put Elvis in the drawer and started listening to heavier sounds, from Gothic Rock, Hard Rock, to Heavy Metal and Black Metal, I also declared myself an atheist... But I never stopped saying that Elvis was my favorite singer, and I was very interested in hearing him sing gospel, because, despite all the resentment I had towards God, I wanted to know if I would feel something. And throughout the first decade of the 2000s, even if I went to the house of friends who had internet or if I went to a LanHouse, I always forgot to research about Elvis singing gospel, it was as if something took that thought away from me. . In 2007, in October, I had a dream about death and, in real life, 12 hours after this dream I was run over; I was in a coma for 2 days and out of consciousness for 3 days and when I regained consciousness, the doctor told me some things, and I said to myself: "God exists! But, what is God? A force, an energy of the human will that interacts with us according to our desires?" . No response... when I was released from the hospital, my mother saw a stall selling some DVDs and said: "Don't you want an Elvis DVD? Let's buy it!". We compare Elvis: Comeback Special 1968. When I got home, the first thing I did was put on that DVD, and as the songs were rolling, I thought: "This man was so handsome, charismatic, there was something different about him", and suddenly there was a section where Elvis talks about the origin of Rock n' Roll, that Rock comes from gospel music, I felt a shock in my heart... And then a medley of gospel music began, and from the second song, when Elvis started to sing, although the My bedroom window was closed, I heard the wind blowing in my right ear, and a strong but soft voice said: "If this man, who was given so much fame, glory and majesty, believed and praised God, why don't you also believe and praise?", my reaction was to look to the right and, seeing that there was no one, I immediately I shouted for my mother and told her what I had heard, and she said that the Holy Spirit of God spoke to me. So I sat on the bed and thought about it and said: "God spoke to me, so if God spoke to me he cannot be an energy, nor a human willpower, he can only be a person, that is, a being, someone alive"... God used Elvis to speak to me and present himself to me as someone, as a person, not as an energy... I had some questions, and I asked God about Elvis' life, I knew he had never used illegal drugs, nor was he an alcoholic, but I thought he had made a lot of mistakes, and whenever I asked a question, I opened the door. Bible with my eyes closed (I was really drawing lots) waiting for an answer, and the answer to this was what I received when I spoke to God about Elvis' mistakes, was this: "¹ Do not judge, so that you will not be judged. ² For with the judgment with which you judge you will be judged, and with the measure with which you have measured it will be measured to you." Matthew 7: 1 - 2. Upon receiving this answer, I realized that I did not have to fear liking that man, After all, it was while I heard him praise that I could also hear the voice of God exalt him. So I asked God again: "Can a dead person perform miracles, can God use someone who died to perform miracles? Would God use someone who many consider condemned?", but even opening the Bible, I didn't get the answer... and two Years passed, but sometimes I asked: "Can a dead person perform miracles, can God use someone who died to perform miracles? Would God use someone who many consider condemned?", God knew I needed that answer, until , one day, when asking again, however, opening the unopened Bible, this word came: "²⁰ Then Elisha died and was buried. Now Moabite troops used to enter the country every spring. ²¹ Once, while some Israelites were burying a man, they suddenly saw one of these troops; So they threw the man's body into Elisha's tomb and fled. As soon as the corpse touched Elisha's bones, the man came to life and stood up." 2 Kings 13: 20 - 21. Then, after reading this, I heard a voice say, "I can and do use whoever I want, however I want." Well... Moral of the story... If I loved Elvis as a child, after hearing God speak to me, I started to love Elvis much more. I never watched the special shows that celebrated Elvis live, I never even went to big Rock shows, even if I had money and really liked a band, I didn't care; God does not want us to sacrifice ourselves for artists, nor does He want us to love singers more than Him, but God does not want to deprive us of what He can use to save us. God used Elvis, and the love that was born in my heart worried me, because I could no longer disassociate myself from Elvis, but the answers that God gave me just showed me that I can appreciate Rock n' Roll and, in particular, Elvis Presley, because all honor and glory belongs to Him (God), and the exaltation of men, when it comes from God, should not be taken away by anyone. God bless you all. Hugs and kisses from Brazil!

Elvis originally tried out to be a southern gospel quartet singer but they basically told him he didn’t have what it took to be a quartet singer. Gospel music was his first love and I believe that the only Grammy’s he won were for his gospel music. Elvis knew gospel groups had the best harmonies so that’s why he always had the gospel quartets The Jordanaire’s Quartet and J.D. Sumner and the Stamps Quartet and then the gospel girl group the Sweet Inspirations all backing him up. That was JD Sumner that was singing that low bass part in this song with the Stamps backing up on vocals. I think JD was ranked as the lowest bass voice in the country many years in a row at the Gospel Quartet Conventions. The really high voice that sounds like an angel singing is a little white girl named Kathy Westmoreland, she was amazing too! All his background vocal groups were awesome! Elvis didn’t like being called the King. He said there was only one King and that was God/Jesus.😇✝️❤

Why me lord is indeed a great vocal performance ( try “Hurt” with reprise…) but more than an innate vocal technique, He could channel the music, the soul , the feelings unlike any other singer from past and present .Hope that can help.
