Emmylou was such a beautiful looking woman all through her career, and she could back it up with top notch quality vocals and musicianship, making her very watchable as a performer .. However, I'd love you to check out her studio version from around 1975 of the wonderful "If I Could Only Win Your Love" .. It has Herb Pedersen providing backing vocals and their voices blend perfectly.

I think she is actually getting more beautiful with age! I always thought she was quite sexy even though she is like 20 years older than me, and I still think so. As with her talent, her looks just keep getting better! Aging like fine wine!

That whole gig at the Old Grey Whistle Test was spectacular. Making Believe was fabulous and Pancho and Lefty was gorgeous. I'm going to say again that her signature song, the most important song for you to react to, is BOULDER TO BIRMINGHAM. It's a song she co-wrote as a lament for her late partner Gram Parsons, and songs just don't get any better.

I adore Emmylou Harris. One thing she can particularly do well is collaborate with other artists. Her longest pairing up with was Gram Parsons. They were great together and Emmylou has said without him she wouldn't be the musician she is. I enjoy the Album she did with Mark Knopfler, excellent. Dave Matthews and Emmylou as well. Good stuff..

Classic Chuck Berry penned song! “The Hot Band.” that's backing Emmylou included some future big names in Country music. Guitarists Rodney Crowell (successful songwriter, was married to Rosanne Cash for awhile and went on to have several hits of his own as a solo artist), Albert Lee (well respected session guitarist, known for his hybrid finger picking flat picking style. Very influential guitar picker. In particular, I remember him playing lead guitar on Carlene Carter's hit, "I Fell In Love"), steel guitarist Hank DeVito (I believe that's a classic 1970's wood Emmons double-neck steel he's playing), keyboard player Glen D. Hardin, bassist Emory Gordy Jr. (went on to become one of the more successful Music producers in Nashville and married Country singer Patti Lovelace) , and drummer John Ware (session drummer who early his career played in Linda Ronstadt's Stone Poneys) Also, Tony Brown (future producer for George Strait) played piano with Emmylou for a time. But he's not the keyboardist in this video

Fun Fact: That "Hawaiian guitar" is, in fact, called a pedal steel guitar, and it was derived from the lap steel and the console steel (the difference between those is that one is placed on the lap while the other has legs to stand on). Those, OTOH, were derived from the real Hawaiian guitar, the so-called Weissenborn guitar. There are also resonator guitars which come in a few flavors, some of which are played with a bar like a Weissenborn or a steel guitar. They usually have a thick rectangular neck, called a square neck.

I agree that, as much as I admire Ms Harris on uptempo numbers, ballast are her forte because it gives her space to use that aching, ethereal tone of her voice to greatest effect. IMO besides the classics like Boulder to Birmingham, Making Believe, To Daddy, or Pancho and Lefty, lesser known songs like Icy Blue Heart, Diamond in My Crown, and Mary Danced With Soldiers show off that part of her interpretive skills best.

Fantastic ! কিশোর বিবাহ পুরানো লোকেরা মঙ্গল কামনা করেছিল..🎸💃🌹 Lyrics: 👉It was a teenage wedding, and the old folks wished them well You could see that Pierre did truly love the madamoiselle And now the young monsieur and madame have rung the chapel bell, "C'est la vie", say the old folks, it goes to show you never can tell They furnished off an apartment with a two-room Roebuck sale The coolerator was crammed with TV dinners and ginger ale, But when Pierre found work, the little money comin' worked out well "C'est la vie", say the old folks, it goes to show you never can tell They had a hi-fi phono, boy, did they let it blast Seven hundred little records, all rock, rhythm, and jazz But when the sun went down, the rapid tempo of the music fell "C'est la vie", say the old folks, it goes to show you never can tell They bought a souped-up jitney, 'twas a cherry red '53, They drove it down to Orleans to celebrate the anniversary It was there that Pierre was married to the lovely Madamoiselle "C'est la vie", say the old folks, it goes to show you never can tell "C'est la vie", say the old folks, it goes to show you never can tell "C'est la vie", say the old folks, it goes to show you never can tell

This is Emmylou Harris a little on the lighter side. Haven't heard this song in quite a while. I have seen several Emmylou Harris songs reacted to before. However, no one seems to have reacted yet at all to "Beneath Still Waters" as far as I can tell? That was a Number 1 single in both the US and Canada in 1980. It is arguably one of the greatest Country Music Heartbreak songs ever recorded in my opinion. I mean Hauntingly just beautiful, yet terribly sad. There aren't really allot of lyrics in the song, but those that are there, are just so impactful. They pack a punch. I swear if you have not heard that song before, it will leave you breathless. I have been waiting for anyone to react to it rather impatiently.

I don't recall hearing the Chuck Berry original before the early 70s, probably, late one night with my little transistor radio and single earphone. A fave ever since, and a frequent pick for rock and blues jam sessions. It's an unfailing crowd-pleaser, so why not?! Emmylou, it's been love at first sight, love by association, love because it's clear any sane person would. Any opportunity to hear more of her, I'm deeply grateful for. I thought I recognized, and had it confirmed among the comments, that that's Albert Lee, an English country-rock legendary picker on the blonde Tele taking the last solo. The comments, maybe the same one, says the rest may be from Elvis' band. Cool, shizz, lol
