Before erasure Vince Clark was a founding member of Depeche mode.he also was in a band with Alison moyet called yazoo.he moved on she went solo.all worth checking out.please do sometimes, love to hate you, stop by erasure.
Erasure is composed by Andy Bell (song) and Vince Clarke (pretty much everything else). Vince Clarke has been around. He was a member of and wrote Depeche Modes first album, he then had a project called the Assembly which had some hits and after that he formed Yazoo with Singer Allison Moyet that gave out two albums (really good (check out ”dont go” as a starter)) before forming Erasure. As for Erasure songs ”love to hate you” is a strong one or ”Sometimes”, ”Always” and ”Oh L’Amour” are all good tracks.
I've been an Erasure fan since I was 14! Other amazing songs: Breathe, In My Arms, Don't Say You Love Me, Chorus, Blue Savannah, Oh L'amour, Always, to name a few. There are really too many to name, but they're such a fun and poignant band.
This may be their biggest hit but they have much better songs in my opinion. "Blue Savannah" and "Love to Hate You" are my favorites. But they have a ton. They also did a bunch of ABBA covers.
I don't know why there are so many reaction videos to 'a little respect' - it's not Erasure's best song, why not react to "Stop" or "Ship of fools" or "Brother and Sister" or "Cry so easy" or "Blue Savannah" or "Phantom Bride" (there are so many great songs by Erasure)
Seriously guys, if you’re gonna react to songs, at least make an effort and show some kind of reaction that you actually give a damn. This comment applies to the lady only.
I remember we were listening to r&b music in the car, driving out of town. We played Tony! Toni! Tone! Bobby Brown, Al B Sure etc.. we switched to the radio then this song started playing? It was something different to what we were used to, but we just grooved with it and ended up loving it. This song reminds me of those happier times.
Sooooo many other erasure songs to listen to….I’ve been into them for a long time, been listening & seeing them live for the last 30 years…check out Sometimes, Chains of Love, Stop! , Chorus, Blue Savannah, Victim of love… enjoy ❤️
Wheatus did a cover of this song in the early 2000's I think it was and it was OK, but defo no where close to the original for sure. Stop, Oh L'Amour, Always and sometimes are all good Songs too for sure
You could try Erasure's Sometimes or The Circus. Vince Clark, keyboard player/writer with Erasure, he stated with Depeche Mode..... you could try New life or Just Can't get enough, and then he went on to Yazoo which was famous for Only You and Don't go. xx
Am I right, Drama!, You Surround Me, Chorus, The Circus. Stop, Breathe of Life, Ship of Fools, Always, Run To The Sun The Entire Album, 'I Say, I Say, I Say' is imo their best work. Andy really shows his vocal range in this album, especially on the track 'Blues Away'
You know what I'm saying..You know what I'm saying..You know what I'm saying..You know what I'm saying. < You Sir are highly articulate & eloquent. Besides that, what an impressive vocabulary you have on you. Hey, Sweetie. Your Daddy must be bursting with Pride about the guy you chose.
Quality tune and they have heaps more. I like the subtle little 'taking the P' at the end. I don't know if 'taking the pee/piss' is an american-ism though so probably impossible to detect for Americans?
This song was in every dancefloor and every party during the late 80's. It is also good to hear in the car during a trip just to sing. Erasure was a very important tecno pop band during that time, as were Pet Shop Boys and Depeche Mode. And one of the members was part of Depeche M. and Yazoo. The voice of the vocalist is also amazing. Regards from Chile!
Best band I’ve seen live - sung so hard I came out deaf and lost my voice for 3 days - they’re about to release their 19th album and each one has it's own sound - there are so many great songs of theirs.
And Andy Bell coming out to the front of the stage, to this song, strutting one side to the left, black corset, black boa to the ground, black leather platforms, singing his heart out and we singing ours back to him 🎉🎉🎉 Heaven!
My wife introduced me to Erasure when we first started dating. Such a great group with so many wonderful songs. Other comments have mentioned those songs and you have lots from which to choose.
