Not to be a Debbie Downer on your video but; Many years ago, my fiancé was suddenly stricken with leukemia. I stayed with her through it all. I was constantly in the hospital, refusing to leave her side. All the treatments, the endless nights trying to comfort her pain. Holding her hand through it all while wiping both of our tears away with the other. Sadly, she had to be put into an induced coma because she began to have seizures. Her final words, (which I didn't realize at the time) were "Wait for me, I'll be back." A few days later, she passed away. 💔 On that day, as I left the hospital, this was the very first song that came on the radio. I never heard it before, and I felt like she was sending me a message in the lyrics. I had to pull over and I lost it. To this day, every time I hear this, she comes back to me! Thank you for reacting this and bringing her love back into my day! God bless! 😇❤️
😯 what a heart felt story! Thank you for sharing this with us. So sorry to hear about the pain you've had to go through but we're extremely grateful to be able contribute to her memory. God bless as well!
@BARS & BARBELLS I appreciate you both so much, and adore your channel! Thank you for sharing your joy of music, and comedy with us. Have a wonderful day, and Happy Mother's day if it applies. 😊
20 something years later and this song ( the drop at the end more specifically ) still gives me chills. If you noticed she’s like an Angel cause she never actually touches the ground in the video.
I became a widower a year and a half ago , I still can't let go Some days are worse than others Never a good day , just the same thing all over again My body moves on but my heart hasn't
@@barsandbarbells2022 Amy wrote a song on the fallen album dedicated to her sister, it is called Hello. Be warned it is fairly emotional, and as far as I am aware Amy has never sang Hello live.
Yeah, I was about to say something along the lines of what she said, except how she passed her sister drowned in the bathtub and that’s what this song was kind of based on and that’s the same way Dolores passed away. She took some sort of sleeping pills and alcohol or something like that and ended up drowning in a bathtub Dolores that is not Amy’s sister.
This is my go-to song when I start remembering people I've lost. It will help put your thoughts in order and get that pain out. This July 1st will be 5 years since I ost my mom, July 21st marks 25 years since I lost my dad. I play this on loop for most of the day.
Loss of a loved one.. are they around us? (note she's not there in body.. she never touches the ground.. ) He's alive.. walking the streets missing her. another clue are the burial rags she's wearing. She's singing, but he's the one thinking it.
I’ve heard this many times but I never actually listened to it. One of the things I really like about your channel is that we are on opposite journeys. I like many music genres but mostly listened to Rock music. The only hip hop or rap I listened to at all were a few of Eminem’s radio hits. I actually just heard my first Tupac song a couple day’s ago. Sorry for rambling 😅 I’m just trying to say it’s fun to see you checking out rock music while I’m learning to appreciate hip hop 😎🎸
This song hit's my heart. this song was playing on the stereo when we got the news that i have cancer. I sat on my husband's lap and we cried. We have been together 45 plus yrs. it is hard knowing that my time is running out. Love and blessing's to you both. From Memphis Tn.
In the video, Amy never touches the ground as if to portray she feels as if she was the one that had passed, yet remains for a while and misses those she knew and loved. Her attire seems to match this sentiment as well. I understand she had recently lost her sister.
My take on this video is she is the one that passed away and is struggling because she can't ease her partners pain. If you notice she never touches the ground in any of the scenes. He is the one walking around lost and she can't help ease his pain any longer.
You need to have a Haley-Gasm like all the other reactors. React to the great Haley Reinhart with postmodern jukebox covering"Creep". 115 million views, 58 week's top of billboard jazz chart and considered one of the top 10 singing performances of all time. Haley is not just any singer, she is a master vocal technician who blow your mind using every vocal expression effortlessly and tastefully. Haley is considered the best all around female vocalist today (not singer, anyone can say) but no one could do with a leader with her vocals😢
The symbolism in this video is so telling…I heard this from another reaction which I never thought of until watching it so many times…in the video, (cause the writing process she & he did when they were young teenagers may have different meaning to them), but in the video, she is always in white (symbolizing an angel), and he is dressed in black (symbolizing a death). Another form of symbolism is the fact she never touches the ground, she is always perched up high on a tree, fountain, or a rooftop which symbolizes she is a spirit/angel. It feels like she cannot move on to the afterlife because she’s still earthbound by their love…it’s all heartbreaking…this song kills me every time I hear it.
Evans science still going strinv. Have been selling out arenas all over the Workd. Have recently been touring with bands like Muse, Open and Within Temptation. One of the best live bands in the world.
Please do check out Corvyx's version of this! it will blow your mind. He sings in the original key. Just do a search on hos name, he does EPIC covers. He's also covered My Heart Will Go On!!!
Late comment here. But it's interesting that you said you were more interested in 50Cent during this time. Evanescence won the Best New Artist over 50 that year.
Girl on the right was singing the song lyrics while listening so she definitely already heard this song. fake reactions, she even said it’s different than all of there other stuff like she’s never heard it before 😂 come on guys don’t fake reactions. If you heard it before just say so before hand
I’m a new subscriber, just saw them in September at a festival. I want to make a suggestion for Shinedown they put out a concept album 💿 Planet 🌎 Zero about the pandemic 😷 and are mental health. The album went to no 1 on the rock charts, and they have the record for the most no 1s singles in rock. “DEAD ☠️ DON’T DIE” gives a matrix feel. Then a slower one it has been named the best rock song about being human. A SYMPTOM OF BEING HUMAN. You won’t be disappointed Brent Smith is one of the top rock singers of the last 20 years. Thanks💯🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I think it's meant as the death of a loved one. It could be a child since in the video they are both wondering around. It could someone that suffered from mental illness and lost their battle. It's open to many interpretations as to who it is.
Ben actually wrote this song when he was in high school, despite everyone trying to place a person as the subject of the is song, Ben has said there is no person as the inspiration for this song.
I recommend another classic, "Alone" with the group Heart, one of the best voices Ann Wilson. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1Cw1ng75KP0.html
Please please please react to Carry Underwood singing “How great Thou Art, featuring Vince Gill. You will not find a better rendition. I promise!! May God bless you and your family! Re: This song: He says, “The Father, MY Son, and the Holy Ghost”. He lost his young son too soon in a boating accident, and that’s what this song is about. At the beginning of the song you hear him make excuses for why he can’t go out. He says he has a lot to do and his wife (Karen) isn’t feeling well. Then he says, “then I hang up the phone, turn the radio back on and sit back down.” He was in mourning over the loss of his son. That’s why he says, “I’ve got The Father, my son, and the Holy Ghost.” 😉🙏🏼
You couldn't even let her finish the verse before you paused it to make your comment. Sorry, I'm done. It's precisely this kind of impatience that chases me away from reaction videos.
I have to say this and I know i will get some hate but I cannot STAND this band. And its because of the female singer. I don't know why but her voice just greats on me. Now if it was just the men that's fine but for some reason her voice just I cant stand it. And its not just female singers because the ones in Skillet don't bother me at all.
Her name is Amy Lee, Best female vocalist in my opinion. The song is not actually about a breakup, its about the death of a loved one. The music video is an artwork... Notice in the video how her feet never touch the ground and she’s in all white with bandages all over her. She’s representing that she’s a spirit and the one who has died. The guy is left behind with all their memories and dressed looking like he just got back from a funeral.
If you are listed greatest female vocalists of all times and start are number one, it would take long to get to Amy's name. She has the gift few have and crazy hot too. It's unfair to other female singers looking that hot and have that voice too.
"Bring Me To Life is always the first song of theirs I'd recommend, It rocks. Amy Lee is a vocal Sorceress, just always AMAZING!! This is a soft, emotional one for them. Realize she is a ghost that can't leave because he won't let go. Notice she never can touch the ground.
Bring Me to Life is another good one by them. I'm also going to recommend Mia Morris: What Made You Famous? I know she's not as well known, as some of the other artists you cover, but she's super talented and does it all herself.
65 yo guy here and have been into music I would say since 1967 as a 9 yo and I think that this song is so Beautiful and they have other songs that I really like, Thanks for sharing.🥲
She suffers from such depression ! That's why she wrote the song Lithium because she is on Lithium ! At least they're back out touring , Because they took a very long Hyattis due to her depression ! She was in a serious relationship with the lead guitarist in her band , the blonde guy in the video , they broke up many years ago , And I believe she took that very hard , I believe a lot of her pain comes out in her music ! Which is true for a lot of artists including Adele !
So something I think you would appreciate. There is a famous "Jumper's photo of a woman who landed on top of a car that looks much like her in that part that if it wasn't planned it is REALLY creepy. If you're interested I'll look it up and share..
She has the most amazing voice, I've always thought that she is the one who has passed as she never touches the ground and is mourning this. Check out 'Bring me to Life' and 'Call me when you're sober'... amazing vocals
I love floor also, and all three from nightwish. And what's the point of comparing amy and floor they're completely from 2 different genres of music. Do you need to compare all female fronted bands just because they're all females.
Amy Lee is a classically trained pianist. Also she is a trained opera singer which is why her voice is so powerful and stunning. She writes all her own lyrics and makes her own stage/video outfits.
Amy Lee’s Voice is Hauntingly Angelic. Great Song Great Vocals Great Songwriting. The Album this is from is Absolutely Amazing. NeXT Evanescence song to react to is also from Album “Fallen”. The Song is “Bring Me To Life”. It’s more in line with the rest of the early 2000’s Scene. Great Reaction as Always
I don't know whether you will see this comment since this video is two months old. But I just want to comment on this video. For years I thought that she was singing about a loved one that had died if you listen to the words that's the way it comes across. In all actuality she is the one that's dead. The white Gauzy dress, the bandages around her wrists, the fact that she never touches the ground throughout the whole video. I literally was floored after about fifteen years of listening to this song and seeing this video that I never picked up on that.
AMY LEE AND BEN MOODY made the band and wrote the music , for some reason he left the band and it was tragic to her and the group. THIS SONG IS SO FUCKING POWERFUL, IT'S ACTUALLY HAUNTING AND STILL GIVES ME THE CHILL'S.I figure this is what ANGEL'S SOUND LIKE..
I think as a man I can say this was the first song that brought me to tears listening to this alone on a good quality system. She conveys so much emotion.
Heads up: she is dead. Her feet never touch the ground. And the bandages on her ankles and wrists. She is expressing the grief of her husband as she can no longer express any emotions on her own.
It's Abt death. But if you notice in video she is always laying down like on a CAR maybe falling jumping? She's almost floating and always outside...then in a tree etc. her clothes are all white.. And he is moving around inside and out but in funeral attire it seems. In beg. I noticed he was moving his fingers like playing air-piano. So then it shows him playing...I think he wrote this song for her. She's dead but can't move on...I've been watching reactions just to see if ppl get it and I would say only 30% say vid is abt death in meaning and only 10% how she is the one who's dead.
Great reaction to such a beautiful song. Another beautiful and haunting song is Hello which is about the loss of Amy’s little sister. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5OzOTjr3eds.html This is audio only. I don’t think there is an official video, just a fan made video.
An interesting take on this song i heard from another reaction... who is really dead... her or those she is mourning... if you look hard enough Amy never touches the ground in the whole video. She is always standing or laying or sitting on something away from the solid ground.... it's as though the video is saying her own spirit has been killed by the constant loss.... just thought i would share
My little sister and I made a pact when this song came out to sing it at the funeral of the one that passes first. I don’t know how to explain it but we kind of have a laugh practicing it together and we know for a fact that neither of us can sing well and whomever sings it will be fighting off laughter at how bad we sound. Not to demean how beautiful this song is but I think what we are doing is making memories to battle the intense grief the remaining sister will be fighting. This song will be the love song between us.
The song is definitely about loss and pain;however they did a twist in the video. She is the one that is dead. Notice the wrist bandages...slit her wrists. Her feet never touch the ground. The angelic, flowing clothing. The man at the piano and walking the streets staring at the sky is the one in pain.
This is a song that will.mean many things to many people. For me it was my ex wife who had mental health issues and took her life. I did all I could for her, she left me with two daughters to raise, while.her memory still haunts me even though I remarried.
You have a real treat in store if this is the start of your Evanescence journey on this channel! There are many live performances where she also totally dominates! No one gets near Amy then or now in terms of raw talent
Amy Lee is my favorite female vocalist My Evanescence recommendations: Good Enough My Heart Is Broken Far From Heaven Your Star Lacrymosa Lost In Paradise
