Foo Fighters got me thru the last year after my mom died. Then Taylor Hawkins passed 364 days after her. I was heartbroken. Thank you for reacting to this. Means a lot.

Just a great Rock song with a universal message. My favorite Foo Fighters song is Walk. It won a Grammy in like 2013 and has another great message.

Now this may be “Freddie Mercury syndrome” but I just can’t picture him gone…When Freddy died it was such a bad year because of deaths in my family as well that I repressed everything I ever knew and loved about queen until I saw Bohemian Rhapsody and cried like a damn baby because it all came flooding back.. very weird…I had to call my mama to talk about it lol

@@mztweety1374 sounds very much like my situation. I lost my dear friend from high school and 2 cousins in the weeks following Taylor’s death. I just felt numb, like I was in shock for weeks.

@@susiegines7314 OMG I’m so sorry. Yeah 91 to 93 were really tough for my family. My two cousins were shot and killed in completely different situations. I was about 15.My parents wouldn’t let me go to the funerals because they were afraid of retaliation.I turned to music to help me keep my sanity..namely Prince…so you can understand how messed up I was when he passed away.. There are certain Queen songs I can’t listen to without crying certain Prince songs I can’t listen to at all and don’t even get me started on Nirvana !but grief cannot have my Foo Fighters ! that’s where I draw the line. I might take the day off to watch the tributes shows🤷🏾‍♀️🥁🥁🥁🤦🏾‍♀️

Foo Fighter's is one of the best concerts I have ever been to. Got to meet the band and David Grohl and guys were as nice as anyone could be. Always great to see you guys. It makes me feel better. Love you guys ❤️

I think this is one of the most poignant rock songs ever. These lyrics just hit different. I still think Best of You live at Wembley is one of their most passionate and raw performances. Ever. 💕But it's alright.💞 Easy for you to say. Your heart has never been broken. Your pride has never been stolen. Not yet, not yet. Dave is just imploring that one day you will live the hardest day that you've ever lived and you gotta go forward with that. Some of us think we already lived past our hardest times, but I hope my hardest days are ahead of me. I have more to love. I watched my mom pass away just over two years ago. That was my hardest day. But, I have the capacity to love. I know my heart will break again. But, I'd rather love than not. And the day my heart stops, I hope I've loved enough that others are upset over my passing.

I doubt there will be a Foo Fighters again BUT my city (Columbus, Oh) just announced a show. The James Gang and he is joining them. Also playing is NIN, The Black Keys and The Breeders. All proceeds go to a charity for Veterans.

Their 2017 show was the first concert I saw after my brother's death (3 weeks afterwards). I was singing along and the line hit me "One of these days your heart will stop and take its final beat" -- and I wasn't sure I was going to breathe again. It hit me SO SO SO hard - but in both a good way and a hard way (especially since my brother died of a heart attack) but it was also good because it was a reminder that I would survive. Music heals.

My daughter passed away five years ago. She was 18 years old. You never get over it and you never learned to live with it. It’s always there and I have felt this exact feeling so many people have said don’t worry it’ll be all right and I just wanna look at them and tell them you know right to their face. Don’t tell me it’s gonna be all right welcome mile in my shoes and then tell me it’s gonna be all right, I want to say to you miss Asia and you Mr. AJ which AJ is my initials too thank you so much because your videos have gotten me through some times that has helped me a lot and I really want to say thank you for that. I’ll keep watching you keep making them.

Guitarist Pat Smear was in The Germs, legendary punk rock band out of Los Angeles from the late 70s. Though I don't think he's on this recording as he left Foo FIghters for a while.

Pat Smear is on this 2011 album 'Wasting light'... his face is on the cover. He did tour w/ the Foo Fighters for the prior album 'Echoes, silence, patience & grace' in 2007 (He played on 1 track - 'Let it die'), but played on all Foo Fighters albums from 2011 til now. Smear joined Nirvana as a touring guitarist in 1993 (Kurt Cobain was a Germs fan) and played on the 'MTV Unplugged' album... and on live Nirvana recordings from 1993 - '94... He joined Foo Fighters as a touring guitarist in 1995 (he didn't play on the 1st album) but he left in 1997 after recording guitars for the 2nd album 'The color & the shape'... He's about 10 yrs older (age 62 now) than Dave Grohl, and he said he left the Foo Fighters in 1997 cos he was older & getting exhausted from the heavy touring & playing the same material every night. Smear later got back into playing music in 2007 and rejoined the Foo Fighters on the road.

Dave Grohl who is the lead singer found out his mother had cancer. He wrote this song while thinking of his mom. She later passed away. Her and Dave were very close friends and Mother and daughter. I have been a FOO FIGHTERS fan for 28 years. My daughter died 6 years ago. This music this band and Jesus got me on my feet again. After 15 Grammys they are the band that speaks to the world. And brings people together and to see them in concert is an experience.

The way I've learned to deal with the world and be able to accept the things you're talking about, is to realize that everyone to some certain degree, has their heads up their own ass. I mean people try to care, but the way things are set up, you're always in competition with everyone, and empathy is fading faster and faster, as time goes by.

As someone who's been involved in trauma response, as well as personal trauma myself, I agree it's not good to say 'it's gonna be alright'. It's NEVER GOING TO BE ALRIGHT! The better response is, 'the pain will get less'. And it's not just with time. It matters what you do during that time. If you fell asleep for 20 years and suddenly woke up, the incident will feel as real as it did the day you fell asleep. You guys are right again....it's great to have that support when something happens, but where is everybody a couple weeks or months later? If you know someone struggling, please check in every once in a while. It could save someone's life!

I agree ppl want to reassure you or say something 2 help. Espeacially when its your mom that passed or you loose a child. ...you KNOW they cant possibly know what your going through or how lost and broken you feel alllll the way down in your solar plexus .....I knew this because After my parents died and everyone was giving condolences I thought back to when I tried to console ppl and I had no idea how much it hurts hos it REALLY feels.....its something we cant not explain no matter how hard we try.....its something we all have to just experience to really understand. ......and its NOT alright. Its the most broken youll ever be.... I learned its better to say I know your hurting and Im here if you need me for ANYTHING... You need food or want me to stay the night what ever you need I love you !

I had my best buddy die from cancer. I was very good friends with his wife also. I didn't take "I'm alright" from her. I've been helping her through a lot of stuff emotionally and other support. This was little over year ago . We talk on phone all time, text, or go hang out at her house and stuff. (Nothing sexual.. I'm married). But we are like best friends now. She still has hard days sometimes and ask me to come over... I might stay there all night on couch. Tina is that one that signed as a witness at my marriage 15 years ago. Sometimes I still Tina I HATE you for signing that! LOL

reactors, lyric videos.... this isnt poetry. its a song. you barely talked or seemed to notice the song at all. lyrics is one part of a song. not THE song.
