@@samantharose1144I’m always forgetting bands 😂🤦🏻♂️ have you heard of “Architects” my favs are “when we were young” “animals” and “tear gas”. Would like to see CartierFamily react to “Crossfade” “cold” and “colours”
@DAVID R. S. Ikr? Whenever I watch 'Smells like Teen Spirit', I always keep my eye out on Grohl at the drums, still marvelling that he was the drummer for Nirvana - 26 years later 😆
Foo fighters really rock. Their drummer just passed away. Check out the live version of "My Hero ", with the drummers son plays it, and that kid rocked. He did his Dad proud Congratulations y'all!! New baby in da house!! She has an army of protectors!! Skai Addison is absolutely beautiful!! Congrats fam!! Fun fact; Taylor Hawkins was the drummer, once upon a time, for Alannise Morissette !! I also recommend this , bc, Skai Addison, has her own hero
Yes! The MTV official video for Shane Hawkins playing drums on My Hero at the Shane Hawkins (his dad) Tribute concert now has more than 10 million views! He's 16 yrs old and just kills it. We'll be watching his career for years to come.
@@srisitpradidwach2136 I've seen them twice and don't recall them doing that the second time 🤔 But maybe they started to do it all the time at some stage.
You guys should definitely react to Foo Fighters "My Hero" performance with Shane Hawkins. Shane is the 16-year-old son of the drummer Taylor Hawkins who sadly passed away recently. His son absolutely killed that performance!
@@jog8483 it’s horrible. Feel so bad for the band & families. We only get to see them every now & then in Australia so it’s hard not get jealous of American people to be able to see their fav bands etc. all the time.
If you want more of a similar frantic energy, Monkey Wrench, an older song by the Foo Fighters is also quite good and I think you all would enjoy the video as well.
Their album Wasting Light was recorded analog in Dave’s garage. No digital editing or splicing - all on analog cassette tape. So the band had to rehearse again and again and again to get it perfect. It worked. Amazing album.
Quick correction: the board is from Studio City in LA. Dave made a great documentary about the studio. Everyone loves Dave and will tell him ANYTHING!! Also look up his 12 hour long barbecuing at the homeless shelter in downtown LA. this winter. These guys are the best. Tragic about Taylor. Thanks for sharing this. YOU GENTLEMEN ARE THE BEST!!
love to see y’all doing the foo fighters. dave grohl is a beast/genius/legend… he’s widely considered to be one of the best drummers of all time, and as you can see he plays a mean guitar and sings well, too. he’s been inducted into the rock and roll hall of fame twice (with nirvana and the foo fighters) and pretty much everyone calls him the nicest man in rock. and who cares what anyone says, y’all can do the entire metallica discography if you want. it’s your channel 🤷🏼♀️
Great reaction guys!! There's nothing but greatness with The Foo Fighters!!!👊RIP sweet Taylor Hawkins.🙏💔 You were one of the kindest, gentlest and INSANELY talented artists to ever grace this planet!! You are loved and missed dearly by hundreds of thousands around the world!! But thankfully, you will live on through the music!!😊🥰
So excited! I feel like this song is the one that will lead you guys to sooo much great music!!! Looking forward to Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, Korn, more Audioslave, Pantera and so on!!!!
I've been hoping for these guys to hit the '90s Seattle fare. They'll have material for so many most-viewed videos once they land on that goldmine of iconic rock hits from some of the greatest albums ever made. Imagine a reaction to songs from PJ-Ten or AIC-Jar of Flies. I vote Even Flow, Why Go Home, I Stay Away, or anything from AIC's MTV Unplugged.
Great band and lot of great songs. Another great musician dying of drugs. He was a great dad and drummer! Rip Taylor! “My hero” and “everlong” are great songs by them also!
Taylor Hawkins was the drummer of Foo Fighters here... Sadly, he passed away this year on tour w/ the band...(R.I.P. 😪) Dave Grohl (vocals & guitar) formed the Foo Fighters in 1995, after the untimely death of Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain in 1994... Grohl had played drums in Nirvana, and he had also played guitar in prior local bands. While in Nirvana, he wrote and recorded an album's worth of songs which he intended for a solo project... Despite the tragedy of losing Nirvana in '94, Dave Grohl got offers to join other major acts... but he had finished a record (which he hastily named 'Foo Fighters', a term used for U.F.O.'s) on which he played guitars, bass, drums and sang lead. In 1995, he signed a record deal w/ his own imprint Roswell Records to release the first Foo Fighters record and assembled a touring band - Nirvana's touring guitarist Pat Smear signed up... Nate Mendel (bass) and William Goldsmith (drums) from the indie band Sunny Day Real Estate also joined... As Foo Fighters toured clubs in '95 and refused to play any Nirvana songs live, radio picked up Foo Fighters 1st single "This is a call"... then MTV started putting on their music videos... the single "I'll stick around" and the acoustic single 'Big me' (which had a video like a Mentos commercial) pushed record sales past gold (half million copies) and then platinum (1 million copies) by 1996... In Europe, Foo Fighters got big really fast and were playing huge venues already. Going into 2nd album w/ the live band playing in the studio, Grohl was unhappy w/ drummer William Goldsmith's studio tracks, so he re-recorded most of the drums for the 2nd album 'The color and the shape' (1997)... When Goldsmith found out, he quit the band. Taylor Hawkins (drums) joined the Foo Fighters for the tour - he had been Alanis Morissette's touring drummer before then. The 2nd record became a bigger hit, w/ 4 singles on MTV - 'Monkey wrench'... 'Everlong'... 'My hero'... 'Walking after you'... 🔥🔥Guitarist Pat Smear announced he was leaving the band. 3rd album 'There is nothing left to lose' (1999) was recorded as a trio... "Learn to fly' became a huge single. Chris Shiflett (guitar) joined the Foo Fighters for the tour. Internal conflicts within the band delayed the release of the 4th Foo Fighters album 'One by one'... Grohl recalled it had to be recorded twice because the first attempt "sucked"... Released in 2002, 'One by one' became another platinum hit w/ successful singles 'All my life' and 'Times like these'... 5th album 'In your honor' was a 2 CD album w/ acoustic songs mixed in w/ heavy rock songs and spawned more hit singles - 'Best of you'... 'D.O.A.' ... 'No way back'... Selling platinum again... Foo Fighters recorded a live acoustic album 'Skin and bones' in 2006 and opened for Bob Dylan on tour. "Echoes, silence, patience & grace" was released in 2007 and this single 'The Pretender' was a standout from that album... 'Long road to ruin' was another single... Foo Fighters sold out 2 nights at Wembley Stadium in England on that tour, and were joined on stage by Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page (guitar) and John Paul Jones (bass).... Former guitarist Pat Smear also joined the Foo Fighters on tour and rejoined the band w/ 3 guitarists - Grohl, Shiflett & Smear. The next album 'Wasting light' (2011) was recorded w/ Nirvana's producer Butch Vig and charted at #1 in the US w/ the singles 'Rope'... 'These days'... 'Walk'. Foo Fighters marked 20 years of the band w/ the tour for the album 'Sonic highways' (2014) ... then followed w/ another #1 charting album 'Concrete & gold' (2017) w/ the singles 'Run'... 'The sky is a neighborhood'. 10th studio album 'Medicine at Midnight' was delayed until 2021 because of the pandemic... Foo Fighters decided to make the album similar to the sound of late 70's/early 80's "new wave" bands like The Cars, Blondie, The Pretenders, etc. So it was a departure from the heavy rock albums they had done. Tragically, as the Foo Fighters were on tour for 'Medicine at Midnight', the band was in South America w/ an upcoming US tour in 2022... Drummer Taylor Hawkins was found dead in Colombia before a show. He had struggled w/ drug addiction in the past, and prescription pills are speculated as the cause of death... Foo Fighters played 2 memorial shows in his memory, but have yet to announce any future plans.
The Foo Fighters was formed by lead singer, Dave Grohl, who was the drummer for Nirvana before Kurt Cobain's death. (Singer for Nirvana) The drummer here, Taylor Hawkins, died this year of an overdose. Dave was ready to quit music, he says, as they were best friends whose children even played together. Tragic!! Dave did go on, he is a musical genius. He writes, sings, plays guitar and drums, among other things. 💙
I was lucky enough to see the foo fighters when they first came out for 5 bucks up in Vancouver BC. They preformed "my hero" for the first time ever at the show. Good times!
My favorite band ever. RIP Taylor Hawkins. Every song by them is awesome they do not have one bad song. they are the realist group of guys ever. they even have a video of them going to fans houses that won some drawing/contest where they went to their houses and played in their garages, living rooms and barn out at their houses its wild yall should watch it.
Cartier family what yall know about this!!! This was one of my favorite songs growing up! Still is tbh. A friend of mine showed me this back in the days of the game Runescape. People made music videos out of the game (rsmvs) and the one for this song went soooo hardd🔥🔥🔥 Thanks for the reaction!🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
It's crazy that this is the first time re-watching one of their music videos since Taylor Hawkins died, and i couldn't stop myself from crying. It's great to hear y'all diggin this song
The Foos! My all time favorite band. Dave Grohl is credited as one of the leaders in keeping rock 'n roll alive since much of today's music is electronic or overproduced in studios. I've seen Foo Fighters multiple times in concert and it's always between a 2.5-3.5 hour show. Their hardest song is probably Run. Their biggest hits are Best of You, Everlong, My Hero and All My Life. But there are bangers on every album. Hope to see more of the Foos on your channel! #Louisiana
Y'all dudes came up in my suggestions a few weeks ago. Love your reactions, the energy and personalities 🤘🔥🔥🔥 I've been looking for another channel since I used to be a huge fan of King KTF who stopped music vids but moved closer to God in faith mad props and respect for that 🔥 Thank you for covering one of my FAVE bands and RIP to their drummer Taylor Hawkins GONE WAY TOO SOON. 🤘🔥
Yeah I remember when I heard this song for the first Time years ago just getting the chills when the beat dropped and he screams quote what if I said I'm not like the others?! 💯🔥
The Foo Fighters are great! Dave Grohl is basically the spirit of Rock and Roll embodied... Band on the Run, My Hero, Monkey Wrench(the Kiss Guy video is AMAZING) and anything from the Taylor Hawkins tribute concert will break your heart... especially if you know Dave was best friends with Kurt in Nirvana, and he was best friends with Taylor and he lost them both... the man is a treasure...
The lead singer is Dave Grohl he was the drummer for Nirvana I also believe the bassist is also the former bassist for Nirvana. The drummer is Tyler Hawkins who recently passed away he was the touring drummer for Alanis Morrisette. The Foo Fighters is a great band! A lot of classic songs
Everyone mentioned that Dave Grohl used to drum for Nirvana before Kurt Cobain passed away. What much less people know is that Dave Grohl pretty much performed 100% of the 1st Foo Fighters album on his own. He wrote it, sang all the songs, played guitar, played drums, the bass line, everything. Then he looked for musicians to perform with him on tour and that's how the band was originally formed.
Taylor Hawkins banging the shite out of the drums in this video is amazing. I could watch this video over & over. Rest in Peace Taylor. Check out his 16 year old son Shane playing his Dad's drums with the band with My Hero
LISTEN UP CHUMPS. Just react to anything that isn't pop music and it will probably be something everyone can enjoy. Don't worry about doing what everyone requests or you'll end up doing the same band over and over until you do every song. Keep up the great work, bros. Request: Rehab - Storm Chaser Cheers!
If you want more Foo Fighters: Foo Fighters - Big Me Foo Fighters - For All The Cows Both songs are from their first album, back when it was just one person in the band. Can't recommend that album enough.
Listen up, chump. Chump is a derogatory term. No other meaning. You just called them foolish. Thickheaded. The original meaning was from British words for defining meat. A chump leg of lamb or mutton was what we'd now call thick. That is no way to talk to people if you want them to listen. I just did it to demonstrate. Also, there is plenty great pop that everyone can enjoy. Even the most demanding critic.
"Something from Nothing" by them is amazing. Has a blues vibe and is rcorded in an old blues studio featuring an old blues artist :D And nobody ever reacts to it. Its freaking great I promise. Amazing video too
Everlong is a great one by them. Great drumming in Everlong. Also, they have a silly side too. Their first hit was Big Me. Funny video. They also do tons of crazy stuff giving away guitars to kids on stage and letting random audience members up in stage to jam with them. Very talented.
Foo Fighters rokk..These Days, My Hero, Everlong, Times Like These, Rope, Bridges Are Burning, Pretender, Back And Forth, A Matter of Time, Resolve, I'll Stick Around n many more 🤘🏼🎤🎼🎸🎹 rest in peace to their drummer Taylor Hawkins 🙏😢
I’m sure no one mentioned that the lead singer, Dave Grohl, was the drummer in Nirvana. 😂 He is known as the nicest guy in Rock. Some of my FF favorites are Everlong, Best of you, My hero. 🤘🤘
I wish you guys would react to Dire Straits and their song, Sultans of Swing. But it HAS TO BE the ALCHEMY LIVE performance. This performance is Fire. One of the best live performances you will ever see.
Dave Grohl is epic in all the bands he's played with. Dave is from VA originally. He was even playing with Queens of the Stone Age and Nirvana. Yall should do more Dave Grohl stuff man.
Another one to check out is “No One Knows” by Queens of the Stone Age. The video is crazy, the song is catchy, and Dave Grohl is killing it on the drums.
Another band with lots of good songs. Can’t really go wrong. “Everlong” is a banger. “Walk” also. Sadly Taylor Hawkins, the drummer…passed away not too long ago.
Ok I subbed cuz you liked Foos !!!!!! My favorite band has always been Aerosmith, followed by Queen. I always liked Foo Fighters but didn't fall in love with Dave Grohl and the FF's until years ago when Dave fell off stage, broke his leg and came back and finished the show ! Best of You All My Life My Hero Times Like These Run Everlong ....To start with😇
My favorite song from Foo Fighters, is Dave's luv song to Taylor Hawkins(when Taylor was in a coma for about 2 weeks n Dave was by his side every damn day) On The Mend!!! Dave n Taylor had one if the most deep n special relationships...
Foo Fighters have been together for 25 years now. Dave was the drummer for Nirvana, and is literally one of the coolest humans in the world. He had a drum battle with a little girl in Great Britain named Tandy Bushnell, who called him out on the internet...at 11 years old. He will tell you, and the whole world, that she kicked his ass. Pat Smear, the guitarist with the white hair, was a founding member of the legendary punk band The Germs.
“I feel like I heard it or something” you probably have, I instantly recognized it from my youth and sang the lyrics. Quite popular of the time, good song.
i wanna listen to all my favourite songs with these fives dudes bob'n along in the background haha they each have a slightly different way to shake along, its great :D
