My favorite or at least tied with Jimmy Buffet or the Metallica Kid Rock Korn Powerman 5000 deal. Totally ALLLLL different but amazing. I still prefer Garth though his energy was insane for a man worth at that time like $300million....remember that Marvelous Marvin Hagler line...it's tough to get outta bed and do this kind of shit when you are sleeping on satin sheets (I didn't direct quote but y'all get the point)
That channel that this video is from has more videos of Garth Brooks that you should check out. When you go to a Garth Brooks concert you never know what he is going to do. He always sings his hits along with some other songs and rarely adds a new song that he has just released. Garth is one of those performers that the more energy the crowd is brining the more energy he is going to bring even though he already brings a lot of energy. Every concert is different from his other than the songs he sings.
Garth Brooks is the GOAT ! He plays 2 concerts per night on Saturday. When I saw his second show in Pittsburgh, we were done at 2am ! He did not care !!! He is a machine! Love him. Also, his concert tickets are all the same price for every seat so everyone can play ! About $70 for a fabulous night.
You talk about his energy.. he was asked one time in an interview in one word describe your stage performance Garth says o that’s easy ….SEX ….goes from and slow to hard driving in the blink of an eye
Garth is a self confessed George strait wanna be, I have heard him make that statement with my own ears. Garth is good but George is still the king, Garth has some rock in his show where George is Pure country.
You should watch his concert in central park if u like his energy lol it was a free concert and he didn’t think many people would show up but the park was packed
I was there, you are right it was incredible. What a performance, it was my first concert. He even had a couple of friends come on stages, if I remember correctly: wasn't it Billy Joel and Don McClain ?
This was PRIME Garth Brooks! I was probably at the Houston concert before or after this Dallas concert in the 90s. I've seen him 4 times, in the 90s 3 times and when be came back. ALWAYS WORTH IT.
Garth has a video out there where he took the entire band during his last song. Took it all apart. Smashed guitars took the drums apart and gave them to fans as they played. Craziest thing I've ever seen.
This Song was written bc they decided to see how many words you could get in to a Song! Going to a Garth Concert is like unbelievable all the special effects. I was there in 1993, & it was epic! And. Yes he did go up on a Zip Line. Right over us as a matter of fact! Good reaction!
The year I saw him, he was performing at the Carolina Coliseum in Columbia, SC. Martina McBride opened for him. That was one heck of a show! We were up in the rafters but there was not a bad seat in the whole place. In my opinion, Garth is there to make sure that every person gets a front row performance. He’s just a man like anyone else, but he is talented. There’s something very special about him!
Truly, they don’t make concerts like in the ‘70s, ‘80s, and ‘90s. Real bands, people singing for real, not just a slew of digital tracks and a bunch of dancers.
When this song comes on at a bar, every single white perosn that was a teenager in the 80’s and 90’s knows EVERY SINGLE word to this song. This was our childhood! Evading parents to have fun and to stay out too late, despite the consequences. It was worth it!!!
When i tell you.... Picture it.... This song...im about 8-10 with a walkman (ya heard me) play, remind..until i learned these words 🤣 i flashed back hard. If you ever get a chance to see him live, he puts on an amazing show.
Garth Brooks took his performance inspiration from Chris Ledoux. Chris was a rodeo champion turned singer. Garth was so mesmerized by Chris that he swore his live performances were going to be like Chris Ledoux’s
This was filmed in Sept 1993 at Texas Stadium in Dallas, it was the first night of his first World Tour. This was the encore, and he did the flying because he wanted to come face to face with the people farthest away from the stage. However it scared him so much that after his 3 consecutive shows at Texas Stadium, they dropped the flying and reworked the encore for the rest of the tour. To quote Garth "Flying sucked because, ya know, just math. I'm not that smart of a guy, but I do know you take the mass of this ass and you put it in the air, that's gonna be a long fall and a hard one"
Here's another iconic country singer who flew over the crowds too. You've gotta see Reba McEntire singing Fancy in concert. I think you'll be surprised by her vocal range and strength too. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7l5AHdc4rMc.html
The two greatest performances you will see as definitely we'll see Is Michael Jackson and Garth Brooks, and I know Kid Rock's cousin controversy can be up there as well and my opinion not as good as Garth or Michael and there's other concerts of course but these two that I mentioned probably the two greatest performers of all time when it comes in concert craziness. Garth Brooks literally performed when does huge flag of his accidentally caught on fire behind him it was literally burning to the ground almost and he did the whole concert. Your boy is literally swung across the stage on a rope like Tarzan and it was fun to watch, one of the best concert she will ever see is the one that Garth Brooks did in Madison Square Gardens of course, that might be worth a flag caught on fire it's been awhile since I've seen it but if you guys aren't opportunity you look it up it was live on HBO at the time and that thing was pretty nice man. Check out the whole concert to man trust me. He literally saying to everybody and he seems to everybody in the Arena, I went to one of his concerts on his comeback tour and it's every bit as good.
The reason you can't find much Garth online is that he produces his own music and has always been opposed to on demand music streaming. He only just started letting pandora randomly play his stuff but youtube, Spotify and itunes he actively shuts down whenever he finds his songs there.
I was at THIS show, where the video was recorded. Nothing short of amazing...especially at the time. I have seen Garth on every tour. I have not missed a single one. He did fly right at me! Great reaction!!
The best concert ever was GB in the 80's plus he didn't believe in high ticket prices. I seen him in NM $18.00 center stage row 10. It was the RED STROKES tour
dude this was in 1990, that man is a beast. every one say pink did this blah blah. yep cause this guy here was the crash test dummy, n never missed a lyric.
Part of why Garth did this is because he wanted everyone to feel like they were basically front row. Even those in the nose bleed seats. He went to them.
He came to Nebraska last August and sold out Memorial Stadium...90,000 people. I'm not even a country fan but he is phenomenal in concert. The reason he sells out huge stadiums EVERY SINGLE TIME!!!
He changed everything about country music. He has said he took his concert performances from bands like Aerosmith much more than from country. No kidding! I would be confidently say he probably added the doing summersaults on the wires himself. He's fearless on stage.
OMGosh!! He's awesome, but P!nk out does him in performing!! She does the wire, the silks & even at one of the award shows she & her dancers perform & she sings on the SIDE OF A SKYSCRAPER!! It's unbelievable! It's all on RU-vid!! Never disappoints!! I love Garth! But as far as performances, she beats him hands down!!
Garth Brooks puts on one of the best concerts ever. He has so much energy throughout the whole show and he just tries to make sure people get their money's worth. I've been to 3 concerts and I'm ready for #4. No one would be disappointed in Garth Brooks concerts. I have also seen that they are some people that are jealous of him like at the beginning of the year taking him out of nominee for Entertainer of the Year because another country singer has a problem with it that's just SAD. If you've done a good job and people vote for you no one should not be able to take his name out but he told them to just to take him out so they wouldn't be no problems. Now that's what you call humble.
It's really cool seeing these old performances, in no small part because his band has stayed with him for so long and it's cool to see those same faces through the years. I saw him live in 2019, and he joked that "the new guy" joined the band in like 1996. Lol.
There's a lof of focus here on Garth's performance which is totally worth it. He ran around, climbed the rigging, danced on top of his drummer's cage, and was generaly all over the place. BUT, this particular song is worth looking at the lyrics too. It goes a mile a minute so it's easy to miss the lyrics, especially on the first listen, but the story it tells is interesting.
The girl playing the bass, who is dressed in all white is his sister. I’ve been to two of his concerts and I was blessed! The first concert I went to was when he first came out with the show that you just watched. The second one I went to about three years ago and Trisha Yearwood was with him. The man never disappoints!
