Hardy is one of the greatest lyricists in country music -- and maybe in any kind of music. Thanks for an honest, touching reaction to an honest, touching song. Hardy's song "Unapologetically Country As Hell" will make you smile. The live version is great.
a while after we had added this to our playlist (because we love Hardy anyway) my dad passed...3 Oct 2021. He had been ill, but not at the door. He was a biker (he and mom had a dozen harleys) he loved to hang out at the "honky tonk" as he called it, never drank, never smoked... We had his celebration of life at that honky tonk..and I watched two hundred bikers sobbing as I read my tribute to him. ...I made them play this song....see, since we thought we had another week or so, and husband and I were still in GA, when we got the call he was bad we left. We were 3 hours from the hospital when my brother called...and as I hung up the phone..seconds later this song came on... I KNOW my dad is doing burnouts on a brand new dyna glide on the streets of gold...sometimes this song still makes a few tears fall...other times ...it makes me smile. FEW songs ever come along that can bring out such emotion
Still remember the day one of my buddies died in a car crash a year ago. 17 years old is too young, please don’t drink and drive. This is the song that I played right after leaving the crash scene. Long live Tristan 🕊️
Hardy is a great artist. And he's not just country. Check out his music videos for 'Jack', 'Sold Out', and 'Rockstar' if you want to hear his rockin' side. On his country style, check out the videos for 'A Rock', 'One Beer' and 'Wait in the Truck'. He is so intelligent with his lyrics. One of his biggest hits to day was 'God's Country' that Blake Shelton recorded.
This is a great tune. Hardy has some great stuff. Ilike his song 'A Rock' too. I know you know Toby Keith died but he also did another amazing tribute to a friend, called 'Cryin' for me, Wayman's song' about his friend Wayman Tisdale, who also died of cancer & the song & video is beautiful.
If y'all will do more Hardy reaction videos, I'm totally thinkin it could be some great content. You two have this hard fun side and also soft and even wise and present real connection. If you could write down 20-30 emotions, I bet Hardy has a song that hits every one of them HARD. He doesn't really have another song like this one, but none of them are quite similar. He's an emotional roller coaster for sure... a drug.
First time hearing this song all I can say is it is just as great as Wait In The Truck lyrically. Visually Wait In The Truck is way better. Damn Hardy can tell a story.
if you like Hardy, then check out Morgan Wallen. just about anything he sings is on fire! check out "Warning" "Water into wine" or "Somebody's Problem" or more popular is "Last night". and he does a fantastic job of a cover song "Cover me Up".
