Yeah Roger was a HELLUVA Guitarist and the whole band was kick- arse! But in 1980, the gals decided to fire the band that Roger created and LOOK OUT BELOW! They were NEVER the same after that
Ok so, Ann’s lead vocals and they are killer vocals at that. Her range is phenomenal and she plays several instruments herself. Her sister is Nancy who’s vocals and guitar and plays several other instruments herself. She’s in the top ten best female guitarist of all time.
The Wilson sisters have always been awesome. After checking out Led Zepplin's "Stairway to Heaven," look up Ann and Nancy's cover at the 2012 Kennedy Honors show. You won't be disappointed.
A barracuda is a dangerous fish. The Plymouth Barracuda of the late 60's and early 70's was one of the great muscle cars of the era. Heart is incredible.
In the early days Heart was more an entire band then just the Wilson sisters. Roger Fisher the lead guitarist as well as Howard Leese guitar/keyboards were essential to their sound and success. The band was managed by Roger’s brother Michael. Ann Wilson has one of the greatest voices in the history of rock music. Not just among female singers, she deserves a place at the top of lists for ALL singers.
A barracuda is actually a quite vicious fish. If you're fishing and you reel one in DONT put it in the boat with you. It will go after ankles! Cut it loose as soon as you realize what it is and let it drop back into the ocean.
I remember seeing them live at Mile High Stadium back in the day. It was a Super Sunday, 2 opening bands and 2 headliners. Started at noon on Sunday. We would not let these beautiful women off the stage. Even though Ted Nugent was waiting to come out. The total concert was 8-10 hours..... Great times......
the term ""barracuda" is often used by old school wiseguys to describe a slick or deviant or manipulant female. In this song it is used to describe a record label acting like a barracuda (type of dangerous fish almost shark like) hunting prey and spreading slur and rumors
Good morning 🌞 and great reaction, there is a song I wish you would react to the artist is called"meatloaf".........yes meatloaf and the song is " paradise by the dashboard light" y'all will be trippin on this one..........✌️
Ann is one of the best rock vocalists of all time. And her sister Nancy can shred that guitar. This was basically a "diss" song to their previous record label. They though they could increase sales by spreading a rumor that the sisters were involved in an incestuous lesbian relationship. They had no knowledge of this until a reporter asked them to comment on it, and they were of course furious and wrote and recorded this song as a big FFFF-YOU.
The Wilson sisters revealed in various interviews that the song was about Heart's anger towards an ad Mushroom Records placed in trade publications implying that Ann and Nancy were lesbians having an affair. Can you please react to Alone by Heart. 🙂
After reporters spoke of rumors of the sisters being a lesbian couple, the Wilson sisters wrote this song referencing oral sex on a man which ended the rumors.
Nancy is the blonde Ann is the brunette. If you like this song you’ll love ❤️ the ballad Alone,A ROCKER NEVER and you really like 👍 “all I want to do is make love to you but play the original video not live version of the song Play close attention to the end it’ll blow your mind you’ll thank me for it!!!!!!
@@OfficialLifeWithRecklezz 🤣🤣 I literally looked up the soundtrack earlier and it wasn't on there, but I literally typed if it was in it and u r correct my guy..😅..I would have lost that bet too..quick af😆
IN THIS SONG NOT REFERRING TO A FISH...."barracuda" A promiscuous, sexually aggressive woman, someone who takes a traditionally masculine approach to getting laid - less interested in a committed relationship, more interested in having the sex and walking away in pursuit of the next score.
Hey Susan! They are talking about me. I help them out behind the scenes a little & I asked them not to mention me too much by name. I don't want any kind of credit. They do all the hard work. 💪🔥
Maybe if you're going to 'react' to a video and /or song, having SOME kind of input in what you think about the song, instrumentation, or artists , mostly having SOMETHING to say about the MUSIC might help. I keep watching new reaction videos with couples and if one of you have zero I put or lack a complete desire to participate, then stop. It's boring. New mommy or not.
The Wilson sisters revealed in various interviews that the song was about Heart's anger towards an ad Mushroom Records placed in trade publications implying that Ann and Nancy were lesbians having an affair. The song focuses on Ann's rage towards a promoter who came up to her after a concert in Detroit asking how her "lover" was. She initially thought he was talking about her then-boyfriend - band member Michael Fisher. After the promoter revealed he was talking about her sister Nancy Wilson, Ann became angry and went back to her hotel room to write the song. Nancy put suitably angry music to the words to complete the song comparing the sleazy side of music to a dangerous fish.
Ann Wilson is the lead singer of Heart, while her younger sister Nancy Wilson plays rhythm & acoustic guitar. Heart was originally formed by Roger Fisher (guitar) & Steve Fossen (bass), then Ann Wilson joined as the singer in the early 70's, Nancy joined a few years later before they recorded their first album in 1975, "Dreamboat Annie"... The sisters eventually fired Fisher, Fossen and drummer Mike DeRosier, and replaced them w/ session musicians. Heart was heavily influenced by Led Zeppelin; they borrowed the riff for 'Barracuda' from the Zeppelin song "Achilles' last stand"... Heart even covered 'Stairway to heaven' as a tribute to Zeppelin.
They do a good cover. The best Zeppelin cover I ever heard was Anthony Arjen Lucassen's The Battle Of Evermore. m.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-T4bNKOxRzQw.html
A Barracuda IS a fish, but its also a vicious predator. Teeth for days. So that's what they are going for in this. Thanks for your channel guys. I enjoy your reactions.
These two sisters are so talented. I saw them in a concert in Seattle back in 1977, and they did three encores with standing ovations. Now in their 70s, they are still performing. One of the great "Classic Rock" era Bands of the 70s and 80s.
A barracuda Is a fish. I'm dead. She's talking about the music industry. Men taking advantage of her because she's a woman. She's too badass for that though.
The group Heart they have alot of great songs the singer is Ann Wilson and the female guitarist is Nancy Wilson they're sister's maybe you'll like Magic Man
Why disrespect Heart and the song Barracuda? If memory serves right when you first started, you bragged about how you were real and not faking like other reaction video people. Now you state about a pool and a guy calling a barracuda.you also have to google what a barracuda is. If the story actually happened, and you looked up what a barracuda was, then you wouldn’t have to do it again. One look at the fish and it’s teeth, you will never forget what the hell it is. You won’t have to google it a second time. It’s like saying I have to look up what a piranha is.
I LOVE Reckless... but I have to mention. Your baby mama is killing my interest of your channel. I LOVE good music, but her input KILLS any song you try to react to - including this one. 😖 Loving your current events videos, though... THANK YOU! ❤
80s Heart has them change to that decades sound. Great Power Ballads though. Like the song - Alone by Heart 1987 a decade later entirely 80s sound now. Official video here has only almost 260 million views - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1Cw1ng75KP0.html
Exactly. The "barracuda" in this context is the predatory record industry. Ann started writing this song right after learning that their old record label had placed an ad in some trade publications that implied she and Nancy (her sister!) were lesbian lovers.
Hand the guy $25. Used for badass female scenes. Ann wrote this after getting pissed at a sleazy recording exec asked her about her incestuous relationship with her sister. WTF! Guys it was the 70s, very little females in the industry let alone leading a rock group. Dive deeply here. 👍🏽 Legends, goddesses and that voice! How cool is it to see a chick on stage playing a badass guitar? Ikr? 👍🏽 These sisters, now in late 60/70's are still producing records and touring. Deep hole...venture through. 😁
