You see how savage this song is (in the best way)! You think it’s going to be a song about a love triangle and some broken-hearted man. Then you realize it’s a father’s beautiful tribute to his daughter and how he just doesn’t want to let his baby go. You should also check out and react to Butterfly Kisses by Bob Carlisle. Remember when I first met my (now) father-in-law and I think he was more nervous than me. Was I going to be good enough sorta thing. His only daughter and his favorite child (nobody says it but everyone knows it). He likes me more than his own sons lol. Although that’s probably very much tied to her liking me.
