I'm so so glad you checked out Ren my dude. The first time I ever saw this song, I legit sat in silence for minutes afterwards with tears streaming down my face. Never have I heard someone understand (in song) mental health and the process of trying to get better so damn well. Ren is a modern day BARD and as you check out more of his music, you'll see it too. I love that you were hyped all through-out, your excitement is contagious.

Ren is a whole different league. He raps, he sing, he plays many instruments. He makes his own beats and produces his own videos. (he has others that he works with (mostly friends) but he is the driving force). He's independent and he talks about things that society hushes up. Watched this video in January and have been listening to his music ever since I have never been so captivated by an artist like this Discovering his music and and his world has been wonderful He hit #1 UK last month with his Album Sick Boi all with the help of his very enthusiastic fans, no radio play or touring. He has been in clinic all year being treated for Lyme disease Also charted high in US Billboard top 200 and other charts.

That was an amazing reaction and i have watched many reactions to Ren the Welsh UK wonder. So funny when you said its 9 mins long and right at the end you said i hope thats not the end 😁 He has lyme disease and has been misdiagnosed for years and is stronger at the moment but is still undergoing treatment so is still not entirely without pain. He was in a band called The big Push who are amazing. Then learning about his backstory how he had misdiagnosed & mistreated Lyme disease for nearly a decade that almost drove him to killing himself, how Ren's best friend Joe called him 5 mins before he commit suicide by jumping off a bridge into a river and Ren just missed him on that bridge by mere minutes, to getting signed by Sony in his early 20's and losing the record deal because of his health issues, to now doing it all as a fully independent artist and hitting the UK #1 on the charts with his new album Sick Boi just a few weeks ago. It is impossible to not hear his music and hear his backstory and not instantly root for this dude Ren with how he is able to pull you into his world with how he is able to encapsulate his emotions, his sorrow, his regret, his exhaustion through his words & lyrics. He is a phenomenally talented musician, singer, writer, rapper, performer, and artist. And I am so looking forward to watching you dive deeper into Ren's world.

It is so phenomenal, watching people descover Ren! That first time hearing this son and then going down the rabbit hole is so wonderful. Wish i could experience it all over but im so happy more people are seeing Ren's art and the things he is capable. He is truly a freaking magician, this man brings it all!!!! My fiancée showed me hi Ren and I remember freaking out like 'why the fuck do I wanna watch 9 minutes of this?' And then watched it and instantly shut the fuck up. It spoke to me on a whole other level. I am not religious in any way and usually hate religious themes in songs but I purchased his album 3 times😂 he is one in a fucking million and wish him all the best. Ren is WELSH. The video was done LIVE and in ONE take - though it took 4 attempts before he was happy with it. The song is also from his personal experience. He was mis-diagnosed with mental health issues and psychosis and treated for that . . . for 9 years. Until finally being correctly diagnosed with Lyme disease, by which time the damage had been done. He is currently in Canada receiving treatment to repair as much of the damage as they can.

Hey, just wanted to chime in and say loved the review here. Just stumbled upon this artist and I mean that with all sense of the term "artist" I have been for the last 30 years stuck in a sigular mindset of music and this young man has definitely broken that barrier. Have been listening, repeatedly, to his stuff and have not been disappointed at all, not one bit. Slipknot used to be my favorite band until Ren, and now I can't get enough. His music has helped me get thru this very deep emotional time in my life ( been a very ruff year) his tunes are very connectable. Been watching review vids recently and absolutely love the fact that this dude is blowing minds.

I found Ren when I was in a dark place soon after my dad died back in March and he’s been a blessing AND the community of reactors and fans helped this 60 year old white dude see the value in online connections. I haven’t seen anyone comment this yet but may have missed this…he went #1 in the UK a few weeks ago as an independent artist that’s been getting treatment five days a week. He’s amazing and humble!

Just to blow your mind a bit more consider that this song is recorded as live and in one take (just edited from different camera angles) after 4 tries. This guy is such an insanely creative artist and human being. You're in for a surprise man. He will hit you on so many levels and emotions. He's definitely genuine.
