Tim has RANGE is an understatement!! lol... All members of HF are so talented, and I love the fact they each get to showcase their talents. Beautiful reaction as always!
I love it when Chance sings a lead part, he's got such a warm tone to his voice and he's one of the hidden gems in HF, he's singing the bass when Tim is singing the lead and everyone forgets about that. I think the two Adams are generally content to sing their parts and definitely enjoy their work, but Austin, Tim and Rob are the extroverts of the group so we just see and hear them more often. One of my favorites is their cover of In the Blood, which is pretty much Chance, Tim and Rob singing the leads, but I think you should go to church first and watch How Great Thou Art which isn't just a good version of the hymn, but I think it's the best version I've ever heard anyone do of it. Eventually, you'll have to also start down the road of their collaborations with legends of country music, Alabama, the Oak Ridge Boys, Kenny Rogers, and Lee Greenwood among them.
Knowing Tim has a 5 octave range and actually hearing it are 2 different things. So they have 2 basses, 3 baritones, & 4 tenors (5 if you count Adam Rupp when he isn't beat boxing). Top it off with pick a genre and they will do it justice. Talk about talent on loan from Heaven, and we get to enjoy it.
This has not been confirmed by any Home Free member, but I think Adam Rupp can sing baritone as well and I wouldn’t be surprised if he can get into bass range too. I mean we know he can go low doing his didgeridoo and other sound effects, so…
Chance can sing bass also. He does background bass when Tim sings higher or is lead and the other way around. This group is very versatile. Check out "Blue Ain't Your Color" It's mostly Rob leading and Chance also has a part singing too. I think you'll like it.

I got new headphones recently and this was my first time hearing this through them. I heard so much more of Chance's beautiful bass this time. Woohoo! I don't know how many times I've heard it and I almost always hear something I haven't heard before. Never gets old. And Adam sends me over the moon every time. Wow! And they just posted the From the Vault for this video - a behind the scenes of the filming. You will see them in a whole new light.
Want a wonderful harmony? Try Home Free's version of "Helplessly Hoping". And yes Tim has great range. Love when he goes low and it reverberates in my chest. Awesome!
Great reaction! I love watching people's faces when they realize that Tim is singing at the beginning and at Chance's bottom-drop. And Adam Rupp just slays in this one. I second the motion for "Helplessly Hoping." That one is just achingly gorgeous. Also "How Great Thou Art." Both show off their incredible harmonies.
This is one of their best without a doubt. I adore Chances voice. I would recommend Yours, Cover Me Up, and One Man Band. The first 2 songs feature Chance exclusively.

It’s a bit of a switcheroo and often reactors don’t know them and will listen and say Tim is a nice tenor and we have to say no, he’s the bass! It’s just showing off Tim’s range. Adam Chance was the bass singer for 'Street Corner Symphony' also joined NBC’s reality show “The Sing-Off,” so YES Chance can do bass very well. You know it was just that kinda day when the bassist says I want to do tenor, the baritone says ok I'll do bass and the high tenor says cool I'll go near dog-whistle range. LOL
This song is one of my favorites. We usually ask reactors to wait to react to this song till they are familiar with the individual members. Then they are surprised at hearing the switch ups in the voices. Tim who is known for his bass can sing in a beautiful higher tenor voice along with Austin & Rob. And Chance can hit the lower bass notes when needed. Adam did a fabulous job as always with his vocal percussion. The original song is sung by a woman Cam, so they sung it in a higher key to match the original range.

Great reaction! This song cover surprises almost everyone who listens to it. LOL I have the perfect suggestion for you to react to next! Since you have not heard much from Chance yet you just have to check out Home Free's cover of Cover Me Up which in this one Chance sings the lead and does a beautiful job with it. Also there is a pretty cool video that goes with it with a surprise at the end of it. But only watch this one IF you want to be blown away again by them! I have been a "Home Fry" now for two years and they are still my favorite group out there! Mayday has been on the top of my Home Free list since the first time I heard it, although it may actually drop a spot or two with the songs from their new album So Long Dixie. You should check out the From the Vault series, especially since they released the behind the scenes of Mayday. They always make me laugh at their antics. They did this in the same key as Cam, the female artist...so glad you waited. One of the reactors thought it would be really good to react to it live, but in the live phone video, you couldn't tell who was singing.

yep chance can also drop the bar :D he used to be bass in the previous group he was in. Thats why on some songs you hear tim sing with a bass line under it thats chance :). and on some songs tim is singing bass and chance is guitar bass. and all 5 of the guys can go tenor :P (end of the road) for example

How freeing for whoever arranges any song to have 5 tenors, 3 (4? I don't know Adam's low end) baritones, 2 basses and 5 beatboxers! And, as I recall, Cam's version was in this same key, so they didn't sacrifice the sound for a lower (male tuned) key, either.
