Saw James Brown in concert and he was unbelievable - he earned his title "Godfather of Soul" every night he was out on a stage. Check out some of his early hits "I Got You (I Feel Good)," "Papa's Got a Brand New Bag," and "Cold Sweat," as well as his later hits like "Living in America" and "Say it Loud, I'm Black and I'm Proud." He had a long career with 17 number one hits - the highest of any artist. Needless to say, but to get the best of James, you really need to watch a live video.

That’s a great reaction by the way! He’s been my favorite entertainer since I was 12 years old in 1968 and I’ve seen him over 100 times in concert. If you want to really see his best dancing on film react to NIGHT TRAIN from the 1964 TAMI SHOW.

Fortunately, there is no concert footage of James Brown from the 1950’s or early 1960’s. The earliest is the 1964 TAMI SHOW. Of course he could all Swedes react to James Brown’s records, which started in 1956.

You’re confusing his ballads with his fast songs he’s not gonna dance like that when he’s singing a ballad. And he wore hundreds of different outfits throughout the years. If you find a song where he’s singing fast then he’ll do that dance you’re talking about. If you look up PAPA’S GOT A BRAND NEW BAG from the same concert then you’ll see how to do some fancy dancing. He was 48 years old here by the way.
