Oh, guys! I am so happy for you to discover Buckethead. Actually there are no musicians there. ONLY ONE. Buckethead himself. This is the best one-man-band on Earth. In my opinion.
guitarists? band? buddy, this is just one dude. the man who can play anything with strings. the true virtuoso of his instrument and legend. he is postmodern ludwig van beethoven, have more than 400 albums including collaborations with other artists. the man can create insane amount of any type of music without sacrificing quality. he is simply best. you can and should(imho) try also; electric sea(calm, soulful and emotional) hold me forever claymation courtyard the closed triptych colma albino slug rise of the blue lotus pearson's square a real diamond in the rough crime slunk scene monument valley leave the light on and goes on and on...
It is like "life". Buckethead has been the soundtrack to my life for 4 years now. Shred is great. Acoustic stuff is great. Songwriting is great. Hes equally talented on bass and even banjo. Pike 237 gets me to work everyday👍
You should check out Buckethead live so you can see how much of this Buckethead himself does live on his guitar and pedalboard. There are some production effects for the album here, but you will be surprised to see how much of this music is just him being one of the best guitarists in the world.
No-one comes close, and no-one will ever come close to this man and his prodigious output. This Pike, along with The Five Blocks, and Florrmat, to name a couple, are primarily riff-fests. There’s no solo to be heard of. They are super for working out and driving and just getting things done. Funny you mention hiking and running music; his music is my daily lifting workout soundtrack. Try Pike #51 - Claymation Courtyard And, one of his finest moments, the track Glacier, off the pike with the same title.
@@manndaze Image from the void (one of the best) Thorne room (this too), Poseidon (part 5) (and this), Blank state, Lurker at the threshold (one solo, more riffs), pike 42 (most of the songs, great album), Celery, pike 235, Our selves, Dew drops, The Redeem Team, Brewer In The Air, The Siphoning Sequence (it's like solo riffs, not typical solos), Crack the sky, Between Sea and Sky, Claymation Courtyard, Dripping castle, The Fairy and the Devil (last two are specific)
I discovered the Pikes and this song in 2017. Jettison is still prob my favorite out of all the Pike songs I love and there is a lot. Greatest musical journey I’ve ever been on
You can`t take yourselfs seriously unless you`ve seen the big man play live. He`s a 6.6 feet tall robot wearing a KFC bucket on his head that can make the guitar cry with all kinds of emotions while melting your face with pure shred if needed. Go and watch Jordan live to get a small impression of what he`s capable of.
I know I'm late to the party but I just needed to say that yes Buckethead is doing all the guitar work here but I think his friend "Brain" is playing the drums on this and killing it I might add. I love Bucket but just had to show some love for the drummer too 👍
Buckethead has 320 albums to choose from not counting the movie scores video game guns n roses etc if you want to see him in action look on youtube for soothsayer what he dose nobody else can do.
