You just saw one of the greatest live performances of all time , and it came at the end of a two hour concert. He really is one of the best singers of all time and has been praised by Tom Jones and Freddy Mercury . He is a funny man and a genuinely lovely soul . Hes currently recovering from a cancerous tumor removal from his jaw . We all are praying for his recovery . Not from 1966, this was filmed in 1988 on john's whispering jack tour.. This performance was the last song from his 2.5hr concert.. He's truly amazing, a legend & icon of Australian music.. You won't see anyone else sing like John!!!.. Great reaction...

I have been a fan of John’s since his career started in the 60s. It was announced in the middle of 2022 that John had mouth cancer and he underwent almost 12 hours of surgery to remove it along with part of his jaw. John has a long journey of recovery ahead and is not expected to sing again. However, we are just grateful that he is still with us and we have the legacy of his music to still enjoy. We are very proud of our John. This film clip has become one of the most requested to be reacted to and i am so glad that the world is finally catching up with John’s career. This is Australia's 'King of Sing'. John Farnham has a big vocal range, sings in over 20 genres, has a career spanning 6 decades and is a consummate showman and loved by Australians. There are lots more videos of him on You Tube and every one is wonderful. (He is not in any way 'female'.)

John Farnham is a technically brilliant singer. When I see voice coaches review his music, they are astounded by his technical abilities. And, of course, as you said, he poures his heart into his music.

John was still singing at the age of 73 but very recently had surgery to remove mouth cancer and had part of his Jaw removed so probably won't be able to sing again.

I'm a 50 year old male and my eyes leak water every time I watch this version of Help.

It is so lovely seeing you enjoy The Voice. His first song in 1967 when he was a teenager. Hes about 40 here. I'm 53 and Australian. We grew up with him and we love him. There are so many beautiful songs. I highly recommend you find some more of his stuff. He's unwell at the moment, but he was still singing into his late 60s and was just as good. Check out him singing with Jimmy Barnes and Diesel. Also with Olivia Newton Jonn, Celine Dion and many more. I love When The War Is Over, Burn For You, When Something Is Wrong With My Baby.
