When Jungkook was performing my bother and father said 'MJ' and I was like what?? but after watching the opening ceremony I went to Twitter and I saw that 'Michael Jackson' was literally trending bc a lot of locals (people that is not army) said that Jungkook in some way reminded them of MJ lol Anyways, this song is great! After this performance JK went straight to vlive to talk to Army. He said he wasn't entirely satisfied with this performance as he couldn't hear himself through his ear piece but, as usual, he slayed it. He had been to meet the S Korean football team and was in awe of their height. When he flew home he had his S Korea football shirt on. So cute!
I am so proud of him! All the members are amazing, but so very proud of our youngest BTS member! The other members were also so proud of him during the live ceremony. They all posted their excitement and happiness during the performance. Love how they are all brothers, rooting for each other.

Jungkook is the main vocalist of BTS, he's always ad-libbing, riffing, and handling a lot of their choruses. He has an absolute killer voice. Jimin is the lead vocalist, he’s known for the high notes (he's a counter tenor and his voice is very unique so it tends to cut through the melody quite often) Jin in my opinion, has the best belts. He can hold a sustained note like nobodies business, and his vocal range is ridiculously impressive. V is the vocal lines baritone, his tonal quality is also very unique. He often handles bridges cuz his voice has this ability to just pull it all together

I’m not that good in English but I will try to explain as best as I can. So the white rock is actually a pearl which is what Qatar are known for. The people on the boat were doing a traditional dance they would do it when they go search for pearl. They would go for months looking for pearls because it was their income also selling fish because we’re surrounded by water. The shark with the white are a lot here as well. Most of the places they shot this MV are old traditional places that we Qatari’s still go to this day. I’m really happy with the MV because they showed beautiful scenes and had a story. The funny thing is - this song ( regardless of how good it is and how well he sang on it) must be one of the least representative and "easiest vanilla" materials you could possibly start with if you want to get to know this guy. Dreamers was written by another party for WC as an opening anthem - like tune and that is not exactly what they usually do :-) (FIFA, btw asked very specifically for Jungkook to sing the song, according to various SK media outlets. They didn´t scout him via Hyundai who is BTS´s promoter and a partner, they went directly to Hybe/ BigHit and said they wanted him and nobody else :-) To hear Jungkook on the track give you a good insight into his ability to organically and effortlessly adjust his vocal style to whatever material he is presented with. He is most famous for his breathy voice, open resonant voice, emotive vocalization, perfect pitch and insane stability and consistency during their lives. He is also the guy on whose voice BigHit producers put least amount of auto tune or any other vocal studio processing trickery , because as someone has already said, he doesn´t need it, his voice practically has an inbuilt autotune quality already:-) He is also the one that does normally majority of all ad libs and runs in their songs, he is credited to almost all choruses and backing vocals, plus he makes virtually all vocal guides to all of their tracks ( = he is the only one that has to learn their full discography, rappers parts included). Since you love hip hop and lean more towards rapping, you should probably know that Jeon Jungkook is also an official sub rapper of the group. Jk co-wrote the song with RedOne the 3 times Grammy winner Moroccan producer living in Sweden. This song is not part of any solo album, it's just a special work for FIFA. It's catchy and has a good message, soccer world cup trys to send to the world in general and to inside the soccer teams, speaking about dream and respect. Live, JK had technical problems with his ears device and he could not hear his own voice, so sometimes we hear his voice in different tones from the usual. The MV is beautiful and has many cultural references and the whale that is a symbol in BTS world and in Qatar too. 💜

I totally see MJ in JK no joke. When he has long hair and wear black I swear there are times he really looks like him… Jungkook’s has the most stable voice especially while dancing in BTS (Hobi would be next then Jin, in my opinion). Jungkook technique wise is probably the most “Advanced“ I guess you can say. He is amazing at manipulating his voice to sound like whoever, be able to sing more nasally or not, ect…Charlie Puth who has perfect pitch thinks he has it too (which wouldn’t surprise me). Personally these are my favorites solo songs by vocalists: -JUNGKOOK: Stay Alive, Begin, Falling cover and Dreamers -JIMIN: Filer, Lie and With You -V: Winter Flower, Snow Flower, Stigma and Singularity -JIN: Astronaut, Awake, Epiphany, and Yours Honestly most BTS vocalist don’t have like super up beat songs like this except for now Dreamer and Euphoria by JK (you might be able to add Begin)… Personally Jin and Tae are the vocalist that drew me into BTS and still probably are vocalists but all are amazing… 💜💜💜
You should watch the full live performance to “Dreamers” from Bangtantv. Also, there’s a JK fancam by Headliner that shows more of his moves. I don’t know if it’s been mentioned before (my first time on your channel) but JK is known as the Golden Maknae (youngest). Ida S has a video showing why he’s called that. You’ll find it a real eye opener. He’s also the Main vocalist. Ida S just updated her video on that too. Gives you an insight on his responsibilities as the Main vocalist. You’ll find that insightful too. Jimin is the Lead vocalist. The k-pop hierarchy is Main (highest) then lead then sub. Eg. Don’t watch the mv unless you want to be confused or want to enter the BU (fictional storyline laced through a number of their mvs and other media). But if you wanted to enter the BU, you should start from the beginning with “I Need You”. Want to hear him belt? He did a cover of Harry Styles “Falling”. For lyric videos I recommend Dial6137. The English translation is better. The others may have more views because they came out first but their lyrics are often confusing. Finally, for funny videos of JK there’s “When his duality hits you” by Ida S. Tbh, all the boys have crazy duality. Then there’s “JK imitating everyone and everything”. Something like that by SugArmyy - I think. JK’s got perfect pitch which means he’s good at mimicking. Also, when his in-ears weren’t working properly in the live performance of “Dreamers” and he was hardly able to hear his voice, no-one noticed. He’s that good! Honestly it's the perfect fun fifa song with a positive message!! Nothing ground-breaking but it just puts me in the best mood! Props to Fahad the Qatari songer featuring on the song also human rights activist it was a nice addition! I loved that fahad sang the melody that have been used by our gulf ancestors when they used to sail to the Arabian gulf for months to get the pearls. The sailors used these melody in the past to raise their spirit so it can compensate the homesickening.
I would recommend watching a Jungkook fancam of this live performance. While I really appreciate Fahad(the other singer), I love to watch the dance. And the camera always cuts away or doesn't show some of my favorite moves, in the live and in the MV. Which is fine and understandable, but watch a JK fancam if you want a little extra good good :) Also the live gets cut off because Fifa is stingy

Jungkook signed with tiny BigHit (now giant Hybe) as a trainee at age 13 despite being scouted by a number of much more successful agencies because he was impressed with RM and wanted to work with him. (In Korean reckoning, he was 15 - they count time in the womb so when a child is born they are 1 year old, and then everyone is socially considered to gain another year on January 1. So when you hear a Korean's age, they may actually be 1 or 2 years younger than that in "international age".) From that point on, he was literally raised by the rest of BTS, all of whom were still under 20 at the time. Pre-debut and early days BTS is known as "fetus BTS" (and can make any viewer feel old in comparison!) so it's fascinating to see how all of them have grown and matured both on and off-stage but particularly so in his case.

So many people have been mentioning the Michael Jackson vibes with this song, especially the live performance. So interesting! JK and Jimin did a Black or White dance routine for Festa 2018. BTS added a Michael Jackson homage dance break in Dynamite at 2020 MMA. And Taj Jackson (Michael's nephew) is an outspoken supporter of BTS. I don't think we've ever heard the guys speak about him, but I'm sure he's been an inspiration for them and their choreographers for years! ARMY frequently have talked about how it's a shame these artists didn't get to co-exist, because their styles and attitudes, both artistically and on a personal level, align so well. Surely they'd have been each other's greatest supporters!
