Katrina Velarde is a vocal BEAST and she should be an international Superstar household name. FTR, I am a retired professional music critic with 45 years experience and saw Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, Aretha Franklin, Patti LaBelle, Donna Summer and so many more during their Apex vocal peak years. Katrina Velarde is in their class.

It may sound trite, but you can't miss her version of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" for starters. After that,if you can't wait 'til Christmas, her rendition of "Joy to the World" is a joy to behold. It gives off Aretha vibes.

Katrina Velarde is a world class artist. She has astonishing breath control and is an absolute master of riffs and runs. Check out her fabulous LATIN MEDLEY Other recommendations would be one of her new uploads to her RU-vid channel either Awar Gabi, Oye or All By Myself. Her duet with Jessica Villarubin of I Surrender is also incredible. She is a self made artist with very humble roots, she’s funny (her impersonation videos are hysterical) and she’s generous. Definitely worth your time. She doesn’t have quite the same popularity as Morissette but her fans are just as fanatic and she’s different yet every bit as talented. Thanks for checking her out hope to see more.

Katrina is another Filipina diva! Amazing vocal beast. I’m a diehard Morisette fan and as much as I love Mori, I concede that Katrina has certain vocal talents that even Mori can’t touch. Yes, very well said. Mori is one of the great filipino singer but Katrina is a different beast. Her amazing voice is very underrated. She deserves to be a superstar
