@@elysehfm8797 Yep, that's what's happening on my end too. I comment and when someone replies, I go see and It's all gone yet I still have it all in my noti box. SO weird!! It HAS to be a glitch!! :( SIDE NOTE: since you're the queen of keyboard emoji's..... got anything for an "angry" face one??? ;) ;)
This comment is from a white guy who was in his 20's in the 70's. I loved the funk being played in the 70's and LTD was one of my favorites. Every Time I Turn Around and Back in Love Again are timeless dance music for the ages. This song brings back memories.
I realize that this video is a couple of years old, but I absolutely love this song. The sound, the vibe, the real instruments they used and back up singers. This was from a time where Earth, Wind and Fire was killing it. I think L.T.D. didn't get the credit that they deserved. This song kicks ass!
I remember the first time I heard this song.It was on Soultrain.LTD killed that performance."Back in love again was a hit."Love Ballad", was my personal favorite.Jeffrey Osborne is such a dynamic singer.
This is one of my favorites by them. Now I'm dancing! By the way, the shirtless album covers for men were popular back then. Nice eye candy for us teenage girls' 🙂.
Man, this was an old skool JAM! Lotsa stuff goin on-I think you’re hearing the hi-hat cymbal, and a horns group with probably a combination of trumpet,/trombone/saxaphone, and that “wock-a-chicka” guitar sound that was all over most 70’s funk/r&b. Keep on keepin’ on, dude!
You definitely need to listen to Love Ballad, but the lead sing is Jeffrey Osborne, he has various songs as a solo artist. You should definitely listen to On the Wings of Love.
@@dianegoldeneye7207 Oh wow!! I got a love button!!🙃 I didn't even get a notification about it!! Thanks for letting me know sister!! It's always nice to know you're appreciated!! 🤗❤
👍💃 I hear You!💕 I was 16 when this track hit the charts - hearing it on European Radio Luxembourg (at around midnight, with my ear buds on - in bed...), fighting the feeling to get up and dance, in the dark...💃
BAHAHAHA!!! And.... heck NO!!! NO polyester ever again!! I was SO happy when my father FINALLY shaved his mutton chops off in '85!! Phew!! Bellbottoms, polyester, mutton chops and big collars need to stay gone forever!! LOL!!! ;) ;)
@@michaelgilbert197 Ok ok ok … you got me there! Yeah, the JJ Walker look from good times would sooooo played out. However, cmon in the spirit of reminiscing how tacky it was …. OMG it was be funny to see Twon goof on that look … 4real, at least I’d be sayin oh yeah you go boieeeee rock that Studio 54 / Copacabana groove set! Then after the music is done snap the fingers, OK back to reality & our 21st century threads … ;)
@@QBdreams I never thought of that.... Twon would actually be perfect as JJ!!! We have to rally and get him to do it!!! Bet that thumbnail alone would catch people's attention!!! LOL!!! Good one!!! ;) ;)
Since you enjoyed hearing that song by LTD. You will really enjoy seeing tgem perform it live on Soultrain! LTD really knows how to bring the funk. And Jeffrey Osvorn with his beautiful voice just kills those lyrics
You are one of the coolest dudes on RU-vid. An authentic guy who ain't afraid to show some emotion. These Reaction Videos channels, including yours, have become a regular viewing practice over at my house. Keep up the good work.
Yessssssss!!!!!!! LTD!!! More please!!!! 🙂🙂 Loved your reaction Twon!!! Go down their Rabbit Hole!! You will enjoy LTD’s songs and the lead singer Jeffrey Osborne when he became a solo artist. That Shaker sound could be a Cabasha the hand held one with the circular tube type head and metal beads/balls on it or the Goard like Shaker the??? Shekere??? Oh and Jeffrey Osborne who is singer was originally the drummer. 🥁 🎤 If you ever want to slow it down check out “Love Ballad” by LTD. Your Grandmom will hug you. 🙂🙂🤗🎤🎤
The lead singer and also played drums is Jeffrey Osborne, L.T.D. stand for Love, Togetherness & Devotion. Jeffrey is now 73 years old, looks very good for his age, the only thing he is bald, in great shape for a 73 year person. If not a better performer and still touring, never get tired of him. “Love ballad” is another great hit out of back then this group and when he went solo. You should also checkout the “You should be mine”.( The woo woo song )
LTD songs to react to: Love Ballad, We Both Deserve Each Other's Love, Share My Love, April Love and Where Did We Go Wrong. Also, the lead singer Jeffrey Osborne had an amazing solo career. His songs include Only Human, On The Wings Of Love, We're Going All The Way, Don't Get So Mad, I Really Don't Need No Light and Baby Stay With Me Tonight!
Saw LTD at the Tower Theater in Philly in 1973 or 4 can't remember and they opened up for THE Average White Band. I would never have let these guys open for me. They were great. So was AWB
LTD = Love Togetherness and Devotion ____________ lead singer is Jeffrey Osborne * some songs will be listed under the name Jeffrey Osborne [ because he has an excellent solo career ] ** check out both LTD and Jeffrey Osborne
You were bound to get around to Jeffrey Osborne. As a soloist you should check out "On the Wings of Love", "I Really Don't Need No Light", "You Should Be Mine" and "The Last Time I Made Love (With Joyce Kennedy)". With LTD, go with "Love Ballad" and "Holding On".
You were asking in another reaction about the 2 things that like in song & you wasn't gonna say what they were, you wanted to see if it would get mentioned in the comments 😱😉😎👌 I'm to go out on a limb here & say 1 of those things is background voices 😱😉😎👌am I right ?
The thing I miss from the old music is people actually played the instruments and sang the vocals with no mechanical changes, or at leasat very few; like just some clean-up in the studio. You can't get that anymore it seems.
That repetitive sound during the big incredible horn break in the middle which you are asking about, that is a hi-hat pattern, it's part of the drum set to the left of the snare and you can operate these two symbols together with your left foot and then with your right hand you're tapping on it with the end of your drumstick while you're doing everything else of course, and then so when you hear that like click click click click click shhh click click click? It's a common pattern for that kind of music and a lot of music to use your left foot to open the hi-hat just a little on the last beat before the downbeat of the next pattern. You leave it open and then you close it right on the downbeat on that second Tab and so it makes that kind of quick open and close again metallic sound and tons of variations on that. And then I think you were talking about a tambourine, because I can hear one banging but not on every beat, it's got a syncopated pattern to it. Every layer in this thing is just fantastic.
Great band! I remember this song, always loved it, wasn't familiar with LTD Though. Thank you! You may be hip to these but more greatness: Commodores - ( Lionel Richie's solo work as well), Kool and the Gang, Smokey Robinson and Sam Cooke. They're a MUST!
