I grew up in N.O. and still live in south LA. I saw Le Roux in concert when this first came out, my friends and I loved it. It has withstood the test of time. Thanks for the reaction!

Louisiana's LeRoux. That first album was released in 1978, although they formed in '77. The core band was around for 4 albums, but shortened their name to just LeRoux for the 1980 album "Up". The lead singer and 2nd guitarist, Jeff Pollard left the band after the 4th album "Last Safe Place" in '82, and two more members joined for the 5th album "So Fired Up" in '83. Their record label dropped them after that album didn't do as well as hoped. Although they disbanded, they reformed with some of the original members, and new people and just played locally in the South pretty much ever since. A few more albums came along, but nothing really ever hit. But at this point, they really don't care.

Thanks for this one. We lived in New Orleans for about 4 years, 45 years ago. My husband worked for the Corp of Engineers, surveying the Mississippi River. We spent many a Saturday between Bourbon Street and Esplanade. 😊 🎉 Every time I hear it I am reminded of those fun times. Great reaction. Thanks again.😊

That entire album is great but I think you would like Bridge of Silence and Take a Ride on a Riverboat. They still tour! Special to me bc my Mom loved them and we would sing to their album in the car
