Nikki Sixx said in his book that when the band was first starting out playing clubs in LA, they were always broke and it was the strippers who kinda took care of them in a way, letting them crash at their apartments and feeding them and stuff. This song is their shout out to the women who helped them out before they got big.
"Wild Side" should be your next Motley Crue reaction video. Also "Dr Feelgood" & "Home Swee Home"... And another one that no one else will probably suggest and that is "Teaser"
All of their songs were on heavy MTV rotation in the 80's. Vince Neil (lead), Tommy Lee (drums), Nicki Sixx (bass) & Mick Mars (guitar) 🎶- the bad boys of hard 80's glam rock. They always came with that edge! "Home Sweet Home" is a great power ballad & "Dr. Feelgood" is a wild ride. Enjoy the Crue! ❤🎵✌️
Wild side video is awesome gotta see the drums in that one crazy. But there like a docu-series on Netflix called "The Dirt" I think its close to a true documentary little higher than R rated I would say but its really good
Also check our crying like a bit;h by godsmack, which was inspired by the bassist of this band (no matter how many times they deny it) because he is an entitled douche. Great promoter of the band, not a very good bassist, even worse person
He wasn't ever the most brilliant soloist. He was never compared to Eddie Van Halen or Randy Rhoads. He was more of a riff-lord. He created a whole bunch of kickass legendary riffs.
@@philpennington826 very true, which tbh no he didn’t shred like Eddie or randy (who is my favorite anyways) but all his solos were very melodic. Never very lightning riding but went very well and like you said his riffs were always great
I grew up on Motley Crue. To this day, they continue to influence a lot of other bands. ... By the way, this video is the edited, MTV safe version of the full video, which is banned from television. You can find the full version online.
1988 high school English class. Our assignment was to pick out 1 song to play and explain to the class what it was about. My good friend and I made history. He played and explained "Girls, Girls, Girls," (by Motley Crue) and I played and explained "Comfortably Numb" by Pink Floyd. He said his song was about Gentlemen's Clubs. Mine was about a drugged-out rockstar. The class loved it!
I was 13 years old when Girls Girls Girls came out and the tour. This is a song that was meant for men to enjoy but the most incredible thing happened. Girls went crazy when they heard this song. Not sure why, did it bring a wild dream out of them, was it how much girls loved Tommy, Nick and Vince and it felt as if they were singing to them. Not sure but I know this and picture this. 13 year old boy at a Crue concert with friends we were all 13. Beside older kids maybe 16-20 not sure. Beside me was a girl probably 17 or so. During girls girls girls she flashes me and it was more than a flash. As she put her her shirt back down she says to me. Hey kid go home and tell your mommy What you saw tonight All I could say was thank you Nikki, Tommy, Vince and Mick. What a show that night.
Stripperz anthem... still relevant today. Vocalist Vince Neil's 1st wife Sharise was a dancer in the music video... Bassist Nikki Sixx paid tribute to all the strip clubs he had visited. It was also on that tour (w/ Guns N' Roses) that Sixx nearly lost his life to heroin abuse. He OD'd and was gone... but paramedics were able to resuscitate him w/ an adrenalin shot to his heart and inspired the Crue song "Kickstart my heart"... More Motley Crue - 'Wild side' ... 'Too young to fall in love' ... 'Primal scream' ... "Don't go away mad (Just go away)" ... "Smokin' in the boys room" ... "Shout at the devil" 🤘🤘🔥🔥
Damn the stories I could tell you about hangin out at Tattletales in Atlanta during the 80s & 90s along with Goldrush Showbar, Oasis, Clermont Lounge, The Blue Flame, Gold Club, Cheetah III, Tops N Tales & a few others that I dont remember, it was all such a blur - PEACE LOVE n HIPPYNESS ✌☮
They were one of my favorites when I was in high school in the 80's. I was a bartender at a strip club in Miami for most of the 90s & they played this song every night at shift change, the DJ tàlked over the plugs of our competitors lol. Check out "Home Sweet Home" & "Dr Feelgood"
LOL then you know. I've heard this song described as, "The song that launched a thousand stripping careers". IIRC it was Nikki Sixx that said it. Probably a toss-up between that song and "Pour Some Sugar On Me", though. 😅
Ha, back in the 80's and 90's our biggest kick was going to all of the strip joints wherever we traveled (traveled all over racing) .. wherever we went we had to check out all the local strip clubs. Was kind of a hobby. Been to a whole hell of a lot of them. Kind of fascinating really.
There is an uncensored version of this video that show the girls topless. You just got to Google it and you will find it. The reason they made the uncensored version was they knew MTV would never let them air the edited one so what they did was make a topless one and gave that to MTV to which MTV said "Nooooo way are we showing that you guy's got to edit it". The Crue gave MTV the edited one (the one they wanted to give them in the 1st place) and MTV said " Ok, this is better. We will air this version." The Crue were alllll smiles. 😆😅🤣😂😉
This song was played at all strip clubs back in the ‘80’s about once an hour ! I was in my twenties in the ‘80’s and that was the best time for fun music and great times !
They actually had two versions of this video. This was the clean version. The other used to be available when everyone was running fileshare servers. Needless to say, there were fewer clothes in that one.
the 3 most played songs at all strip clubs back in the day was (motley crue-girls girls girls) - (def leppard-pour some sugar on me) - (van halen-hot for teacher)
I remember The Body Shop in San Diego right after I got out of boot camp. I was 18, my friends dragged me there. There was a 2-drink minimum so you had to buy them both when you first walked in. It was very weird having a conversation with her about her future college plans when she was shakin' it in my face.
Growing up in the 80's if you were a shirt and you didn't know the band you could get beat, but times have changed. Thank you so much for having these shirts I love your channel ❤MUCH love to you and your family 💕Brandi Modrak Rock on and the Crew are awesome in concert ❤
Mick Mars is one of the best guitarists in rock history. He is so unappreciated, but never really wanted the limelight. No one knew this at the time but Mick was considerably older than Nikki, Vince and Tommy. While the younger guys were out partying and chasing girls up and down the Sunset Strip, Mick was home with the wife and kids. Which is where he wanted to be. There is a very cool video called The Rise And Rise Of Motley Crue. Check it out. You'll see where they came from and how they got together. The video interviews parents, siblings and high school friends. Very Very fun video.
I think ( no proof just a personal thought) when the lyrics say " just tell me a story, you know the one I mean" I think that's a reference to the movie 48 hrs Eddie Murphy Nick Nolte in the move Eddie says " Jack tell me a story" jack says " fuck you!" Eddie says "OH that's my favorite"
Another Hoosier,John Cougar Mellancamp, filmed his music video Check it Out at Market Square Arena. Henry Lee Summer is another Indy musician worth looking into. He was popular on MTV.
I can remember when the crue was on tour for the album. They played in Dallas and white snake opened up for them. A buddy of mine at the time tried to go but it was sold out. I thing it was my 19th or 20th birthday. So instead we decided to a gentleman's club. And later on that night both bands motley crue and white snake came in. And they sat next to us. Fun memories.
There’s so many different types of 80s music and when everybody thinks of 80s I think of it in a different type of genre but my favorite infect is classic hair metal Is what this type of music is considered in my opinion…. Ps. nice video

Here is the original promotion video for the stadium tour in 2020 before it’s been postponed in 2020 and 2021 but looks like it’s on for summer if 2022 ! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7hjTYYiHIy4.html
Fun fact, The Lead singer of Motley Crew(Vince Neil) Punched one of the guitarists from Guns N Roses(Izzy) in the face Backstage at the MTV Video Music Awards in 1989. Also Axl Rose who is the lead singer of Guns N Rose's tried to fight Kurt Cobain at the 1992 MTV VMAs
Check the live version with a hot female drummer filling in for Randy Castillo. I saw this concert in San Diego with Randy strapped in a cage. might want to check that out also.
Recklezz, the 80's had great music, but so did the seventies. I think you should check out Aqualung from Jetro Tull's 1971 album by the same name. Actually, the entire album is worth checking out.
Think about it, Rock Stars, any Entertainers, Sports , Athletic stars. All around 18-25 when they make it. Now picture yourself at that age as a star, with Millions in your bank??? So when you here about them getting into some shit, Give em a lil break, cause if it were me? God have mercy on my soul.
A bunch of us went down to the body shop and sat in the front, the girl came out in a cop outfit and proceeded to handcuff me - then the key was placed in a delicate location....Good times!
According to the biographies of a lot of the 1980s L.A. bands the strippers were a saving grace for the boys..they had money, food, a roof over their heads and they would help the boys in the bands out. . Plus the other obvious perks. 😉
For eye candy for the lady I'd recommend that you react to Need You Tonight by INXS , which is also a cracking song. And for lots of VERY hot soldiers with their shirts off, search for 'US army in Afghanistan tribute to Call Me Maybe'. I don't rate the song, but it's a funny, sexy video. Enjoy! x
