She writes, composes and co- produces her own music. Every producer she has worked with has always said that she is pretty much involved in the creative process of her music.
@brentthompson1607
@brentthompson1607 2 года назад
This is not true lol. It is said she takes songs from people and doesn't give them credit. Like a Virgin is an example.
@Matuteilcapo
@Matuteilcapo 2 года назад
@@brentthompson1607 Of course LAV wasn't written or composed by her, it's properly credited as it should. "It is said" that you are a troll or hater that just wants to spread lies and misinformation... LOL. Anyway, facts are facts, and no troll or hater will be able to diminish her legacy, achievements and huge impact, so keep trying troll, it only makes us laugh! LOL

@@brentthompson1607 She didn't take credit for Like a Virgin although she owns the rights it. She did however write and produce Into the Groove as well as most of her other hits.

@@brentthompson1607the writers for Like A Virgin are credited, and always have been as far as I know? Not sure where you came up with that, but I guess you can believe whatever fantasy you want? Madonna IS credited with writing many of her songs, however. For her first album, for instance, she wrote the lyrics and melodies for most of her songs (this one was co-written with the legendary Jellybean Benitez, I think (?), one her friends from the New York club scene). Then they made demos and took the songs to the producer of the first album, Reggie Lucas. Lucas then also gave her “Borderline”, which he wrote himself. Nile Rodgers has talked about a similar situation with the second album Like A Virgin, which he produced. He also didn’t want to record what became the signature title track, apparently? He didn’t like it. But Madonna loved it and vehemently advocated for it after hearing the demo played to her by the writers, who literally were shopping the song for the express purpose of making money on it. No one “stole” anything. Haha I know less about the history of her recording process after she hit mega stardom (personal taste and interest; I’m an 80’s electro beat and early hip hop, house, and techno fan), but it would be understandable if the entire process changed after she became an industry unto herself, second only to Michael Jackson at the time? But the fact the she effortless changed and evolved over the years suggests that she was not merely a Britney Spears or Rihanna like puppet. She was clearly deeply involved in her entire brand, otherwise she would have done the same thing over and over again until she eventually fizzled out.

The movie is about a hopeless romantic housewife and a grifter in a case of mistaken identity / amnesia surrounding a pair of stolen Nefertiti earrings. LOL. It’s a great 80’s style movie - one that could have been solved with the simple use of a cell phone but it captures the vibe of NYC so perfectly. It’s fun. Madonna is great and this song is a bop.

"Into the Groove" was written and produced by Madonna and her then-boyfriend Stephen Bray. The singer had initially written the song for her friend Mark Kamins' protégée, Cheyne, and recorded a demo which Kamins intended to modify later.* The movie Desperately seeking Susan was shot in 1984 and screened in cinemas as of April 1985. The movie is worth watching it's funny as f and a time capsule of nyc in the 80s. Into the Groove is my Madonna fav of all time however difficult choice as she has an endless catalague of gems! Michael Jackson, Madonna, Prince & Whitney Houston set a new standard that hasn't been matched to this day. One thing that set Madonna apart & her longevity, her musical never ending shape-shifting talent & always experimenting to this day.

This song was written and produced by Madonna and Stephen Bray. She writes or cowrites and coproduces with other producers. The movie Desperately Seeking Susan is about a bored NJ housewife Roberta who religiously follows the wanted ad messages between Susan and her boyfriend. She is married to a water tub salesman. Susan is a street drifter/vagabond who accidentally takes the rare Egyptian earrings from a hookup with a gangster criminal. Throughout the movie Roberta's identity gets mistaken. It's an interesting move that you should check out. Madonna wrote this song from her experience of living in the Alphabet Streets in the Lower East Side of NYC. It was inspired by her crush on a young Puerto Rican teenage boy she wanted to date that lived in her neighborhood or her apartment building. React from her very first single Everybody and then on down in order for you to appreciate her evolution as an artist.

Madonna is not any incredible vocal talent, not technically. That said, I absolutely LOVED her music instantly when it came out. There was nothing really like it. And her sense of style was completely unique. She’s stayed relevant far longer than most artists could ever hope for. That said, Desperately Seeking Susan was like my 2nd ever movie to see in the theater. I was young, it’s a bit corny looking back but I enjoyed it at the time. I always thought Arquette was a strange co lead. She wasn’t really known much at that time.
