First time watching one of your reactions. NF is a great rapper and has many great songs talking about mental health, too many too choose from. Like he said in one of his songs "I'm the voice of these kids that think things but never say em". Recommend reacting to NF Just like you, don't want to spoil to much what it is about.

NF has a series of perfect songs regarding his story and his mental health journey! If you decide to dive in, keep in mind that NF mental health journey has it ups and downs but it heads in a more healthy place.

NF how could you leave us is always a good one it's about how he lost his mom because of drugs he also makes a lot of songs for mental health just like the one you listened to

Name this move: "Clarence: Strange, isn't it? Each man's life touches so many other lives. When he isn't around he leaves an awful hole, doesn't he?" I drop this because imagine how many lives you have touched since that moment of truth? I appreciate what you are doing Amanda. There are so many NF songs you would identify with. He is a wonderful springboard for new ways to communicate about mental health. In this song alone: compartmentalizing, anger, fear, regret, and as you noted the line about saying we do the best we can when we know deep down we aren't. Then we blame ourselves when they desert us. But we pushed them away. Nate personifies his emotions and so they come back in other songs and he deals with them. Pretty dope. In this song we met Fear and he sleeps with Regret. I am torn because you should listen to NF right away, but I want to see you react to his songs so either way. Here are just a few all dealing with real life issues: The Search, Leave Me Alone, Paralyzed, Only, I Miss the Days, All I Have, Wake Up, Therapy Session, Intro, Intro 2, Intro 3,....wait...ok, it is all of NF's music. Mansion hits so hard for me because I went through a lot of similar things. The final line always makes me cry "is that me or the fear talking? I don't know anymore" I too let fear live in my mansion since I was little and now over 20 years later he's still there. The only difference is that he changed who I was and I hate myself for it. I really like your analogy of our fear being our shadow. A dark version of us that follows us around.

It's crazy I always considered my trauma being homes in my mind and then heard this and been an NF since he came out years ago..his journey is amazing

Me and NF share more than just a name, we share trauma, pain of varying depths, confusion and more. I appreciate your mindset and thoughts/feelings towards any artist but with NF...hits close to home...if I could call the inside of my mind a home. Thank you again

Literally searched NF and you came up, been listening to him for a long time, you would do well to explain your emotions while re acting to videos like this, you have a story to tell, let the music channel your journey

I remember listening to NF for the first time when I was 12, his song Mansion and Therapy session hit close to home for me personally cause I grew up around domestic violence, which resulted in issues I still suffer from, the difference is that now I am trying to get better and honestly I promised to keep going (not sourly on his music obvs) cause I wanted to see him grow and listen to him. Now here I am nearly 16, he really is a life saviour.

Amanda, I'm not too sure if you remember during your livestream yesterday, I was the one thanking you for showing such raw emotion in your reactions, as they help me not to feel so numb. Ive struggled with bpd, ocd, chronic depression and more since I was 4 years old. I often feel so burnt out by my emotions that I am no longer able to tell what I feel. Watching these videos alone, without your reactions, I remain straight faced, and then when it is done, I cry. Now though after watching your inside the fire video today.. I feel like I have to apologize. It was my first time watching the video, but it was a song id listen to when I was in the pit of my darkness when I was a teen. That video though, watching it with you and knowing what you'd gone through, I was honestly horrified and trembling with you in that feeling. It is hard to say thank you for allowing me to feel such things. But I am so greatful for the understanding.

Great reaction. I would love to recommend a group called Icon For Hire. They have an amazing lead singer named Ariel and do a great job of tackling mental health in their music. Happy Hurts, Under The Knife and Hollow are personal favorites.

That was an incredible emotional rollercoaster. As someone that compartmentalizes (probably too much, but does take time to unbox things in time) I related to so much in the song.

when you said that the feelings and anxiety are kind of like an "entity" on it´s own and of course wants to be relevant i realised why i am afraid of being or becoming "normal" again. i always felt like this is my whole personality and if it is gone i am too, because after such a long time of dealing with mental health issues, you just forget how it is to live without them. atleast from my experience. I am sooo glad u said that, maybe now i can work on letting it truly go.

The NF Journey is a straight up mental health journey of one courageous mind that put it out there for so many to relate to and identify with it is truly “REAL”, I subbed to see if you will take the journey and watch his growth, does not disappoint and the Outcasts will come to support you!!!

If you want to dive deeper into NF's mind you should probably listen to Intro 3 as it is directly connected to Mansion. In my opinion Mansion, Intro 3 and Therapy Session are the most impactful songs if you want to understand his struggles

I no longer trust therapy. The last therapist I had told me that I was destined to commit suicide. She said it's a repeating pattern in my actions and thoughts. Yes, I've thought about killing myself more times than I can count and have attempted it multiple times. But.. to be told that I have no escape from a professional is a real kick in the teeth. All she was interested in was being an antidepressant drug dealer. My only hope is to be a drug addict as long as the drug is prescribed to me from a therapist. So I no longer trust therapy, let alone attend it. If it's true, that I have no hope, at least I do it on my terms and without being a victim of big time pharmacy drug dealers. Just found your Channel today. Watched a few videos and am really feeling what you're trying to share here. I hope you go on a NF journey. He brings a lot of depth and emotion with him. Another song I would recommend is from Jelly Roll named Save Me. Knowing what I know from a few videos I know it's something you can relate to and may help someone else out there.

i love NF. been listening to his my freshman year of college. he is one my inspirations for my song writing. when I was counseling kids at camp, I would always have NF playing, and rapping. we had a talent show, the week before, I got a phone call from my mother, saying my grandfather was about to pass away, and I would never get the chance to tell him goodbye. I was sitting alone outside, everyone was asleep; yet I was balling my eyes out and asking God why? i told my co counselor what was going on, and I told him, oi felt scared, lost and angry;' I know God loves me, but right now it seems like I have no hope; I told him I go about my day, being crazya nd having fun with these kids, but when darkness comes, I want so bad to go back to when I was abusing pills and alcohol; but I don't cuz one day I will make my grandfather proud and God is stronger than my addictions, but I do have thoughts of going back. the next day, we did a dedication service, and I shared my testimony to the other campers and workers. that friday, we were all together at the beach having a good time, and I started crying. campers both girls and boys asked me how I could be so strong yet be hurting with so much pain. I told them, my grandfather was moments away from meeting Jesus, and I couldn't be there to say goodbye; I told them I didn't understand. later that night, I rapped this song to a group and afterwards, I was shaking, crying and I poured my heart into those lyrics; but by gods grace, I got spend another 6 months with my grandfather before he passed away.

This video is the first I’ve seen of yours but based on what I can gather I think some Citizen Soldier songs would make a good reaction for you. A very large portion of their discography is about some of the struggles you touched on in this video.

So.... ah. NF.. he is my therapist currently. Like. All of his music is what he goes through, he has OCD, depression, anxiety. He is one if the only real artists out there at the moment

I think you should react to Hold On by Chord Overstreet. It's about losing someone to suicide...it really makes me think when I was being reckless as a teenager with my mental illness and taking pills/overdosing. Like what it could make someone feel if I succeeded.

My guest "fear" has me convinced me that the only comfort for me is to open up and trust the person that hurt me the most "my ex wife " he has me convinced that making her happy brings me joy what the he'll is wrong with me to care at all about the one who destroyed my heart and made me feel like everything I did was wrong so now I can't have a relationship with anyone else because I'm so lost I feel like I make all wrong decisions it's pretty sad that I have become so desperate for tiniest gratification from someone who ruined my ability to trust and to lose faith in the chance of someone loving me for who I am that person before I was before the betrayal locked that person up and I don't know how to find myself at this point

Especially for myself having hid my depression exceptionally well most my life. I'm working on being more open after my near suicide attempt. Enjoying all the encouraging words you have to say as someone who also is not religious but also read the bible.

I spent years dealing with trauma...all types of abuse...my mom used to call me fat and would put a chain and lock around the fridge...and my mother used to let her boyfriend beat me....i have a eating disorder now...used to do bad hard drugs...i used to cut all over my body...and swallow glass and push pins...one of my drug addictions was percs and one night i took twelve carved "fml"in the middle of my stomach....

I thought I was the only one who felt trapped in my mind but I don't wanna say too much because maybe some people will think I'm saying too much
