Those eerie notes come from a Moog keyboard....The keys can be stretched or manipulated to give it the distinct sound you're hearing.

Great song, great singer. Frankie Beverly and maze had their own wide and deep lane. They were ‘70’s, but also their own thing. They got very little play on crossover or white radio, but they were an absolute cookout and street party centerpiece. Brilliant stuff. Check out Golden Time of Day. Gorgeous.

I have had Maze 3rd behind EWF and Isleys for DECADES! Since the late 80s at least they have been my top three GOAT bands in That Order. Probably Ohio Players behind them. After that I would have to think on it. Maybe Parliament/Funkadelic. I don't know. Just throwing that out there. LTD? I don't know. But my Top Three have been uncontested since probably 86 or 87.
