I watched behind the music i believe and dave wss saying they were playing at a party and slme random dude was bullying lars so dave kicked thd guys ass. An interesting thing about a lot of “rock” guys is that a lot of us, guitars players, are fairly introverted and introspective personalities which leads to the hours upon hours we spent in our youth learning to play alone in bedrooms and crap garage bands with our like minded friends. Pouring out those awkward teenage feelings into music. So it’s funny that so many “rock stars” are really shy nerds that use music and the persona of “metal or rock” to belong while never really quite feeling like they do. Hence the prevalence of drug and alcohol abuse. Sad and comforting at the same time. We’re all posers on some level.

Holy wars is a two-parts song: The first is about war and Dave Mustaine's point of view about religion, and the second one (after the acoustic break) is about the comic-book character "The Punisher" from Marvel. It's probably on top 5 best metal songs ever composed.

Check out Jason Becker with the lead guitarist here, Marty Friedman. Jason is crazy fast. Both are classical guitarists. Jason has still composed music while having ALS. So heartwarming, inspiring, with beautiful music and messages.

Nick Menza, the drummer was a legend who fizzled out (made poor choices) and got himself fired from Megadeth, and years later died while on stage performing with his own band. Man that dude was one hell of a thrash metal drummer though. He was absolutely incredible at his peak.

I am not sure if you are yet ready for this one.. but since you are a fan of drums you need to check out the drumcam for the song 'Bleed' by the band Meshuggah. The vocals on Painkiller are a bit higher in pitch than you will get with Meshuggah. Gotta experience the highs before the lows.

Dave Mustaine ... was first lead guitarist in Metallica. His ego and Metallicas lead singer ego both huge. Dave has made the point he has direct influence 3 of the top 5 metal bands as his fist guitarist in Megadeth became the lead in Slayer. Dave is very political in his lyrics if you pay attention. no side just sees tyranny

This whole album, Rust In Peace, is a masterpiece. For DRUMS, Take No Prisoners and, Rust In Peace Polaris. That last on ive not found a great live non dmca version. The studio lyric versions are great.

@@Minty.Fresh.Tunes. I agree that's true of a lot of prog metal, but certainly not all. Dream Theater deals with groove changes in a really purposeful way so that it adds to the emotional impact. Also Opeth, Soen. If we expand the genre to include prog rock I can name a hundred bands that do it right.

k you like drums alot, I HIGHLLLLLLY recommend Sepultura. The vocals well they are an acquired taste lol but the drumming OMG, Igor is on a level beyond when it comes to drumming. Check out Sepultura "Dead Embyonic Cells". Another good one I NEVER see reaction channels react to is Zack Wylde. He guitared for Ozzy and his vocals are alot like Ozzy's. Badass guitarist. Check out Zack Wylde "Stillborn".

MEGADETH was my first concert. I was fifteen at the Palmeto Civic Center in Florida. Sanctuary opened for them, then WARLOCK. MEGADETH was on their SO FAR, SO GOOD, SO WHAT TOUR.

Megadeth "Good Mourning, Black Friday" though not for the faint of heart. This was awesome back in the day as well. Though, just a warning, this is the kiddie swing of metal, it's a rabbit hole and minefield at the same time.

@@leviticus6591 Rabbit hole...like Alice in Wonderland...going down the rabbit hole. It gets weird, it's dark and it gets very heavy. Minefield: like any genre of music there are bands that are just bad. Minefield because if you are not ready for the deep end of metal it will be shocking and could be a negative experience. Metal comes in many sub genres and it's best to ease yourself into the heavier stuff. Your ear needs to become accustomed to the sound. Metal often has a message, it can he political, it can be a social commentary, it can be existential, deal with religious beliefs or lack of belief or even just fantasy. At the end of the your metal journey you will find what you like in the multitude of genres and sub genres.

Megadeth is a huge deal in the Thrash community. We were all pulling for Dave and his band after he was out of Metallica. Dave Mustaine is definitely technical AF! This album goes down as one of the all time greatest Thrash and Metal albums!! Cant go wrong with MEGADETH!
