As the daughter of a Vietnam veteran this is about the most heartbreaking heavy metal song I've ever heard.. my old man came home in one piece but the PTSD was real.

Johnny is a soldier who was just blown up and injured in war. He is left to being concious and alive, yet unable to communicate with anybody. The doctors are expirementing on him, thus inflecting pain and suffering on him. He is literally inside a shell of himself. Unable to scream stop. Unable to communicate to them that he is in a state of torment. Alone and isolated within himself. He is in a state of hell, left to bear it all on his own.

The name of this song comes from a line in the book this song and the movie that is used in the video is based on. It says something about how a random guy in any town has a one in a million chance to win the lottery one day and have all their money problems solved. It would be like a dream come true. The same guy in the same town also has a one in a million chance of being sent off to a war where their whole life from that point on becomes a nightmare that you can't wake up from. Sure, that guy is only one in a million, and neither path may be the path that he finds himself down, but there is always going to be that ONE in a million that either gets the life of their dreams or the life of their nightmares.

James (singer/rhythm guitar-writes most of the lyrics & music) and Kirk (lead guitar) were some of the heaviest & fastest thrashers in their day. James wrote the lyrics and music after watching the movies that are shown in this video. Instead of fight to get permission to show parts of the movie in they video, they just bought the rights to the movie. Talk about cutting through red tape! 😂 You want a great experience? Slap on some headphones, lay on your bed in the dark and listen to the albums Ride the Lightning, Master of Puppets, And Justice for All or The Black Album. You'll hear some of the deepest lyrics and hear the most amazing music. James can wring your heart out when it comes to putting humanity's feelings into song.

A few suggestions guys. Get some headphones. You'll hear it better and so will we. Don't blaze so much if you're serious about going somewhere with your channel. Weed causes short attention span issues. When listening to such a huge song, you need to pay attention. You can't do that if you're high.this is one of their biggest songs with lots of meaning and purpose. I usually love your reactions. Wasn't impressed with this one.
