almost every iranian ppl agree "hayedeh is by far the best female singer of iran and perhaps world!!" i recommend "hayedeh shanehayat". her incredible voice is something beyond this universe.
don't say the world dude. there are better singers out there. but I agree she's the best from iran. and no, not even people of iran agree she's the best. iranians are very opinionated and can't agree on anything
Your description of Persian language was spot on. In fact it is classified as a poetic language and some linguists have categorized it as the equivalent of French language of Asia.
hi dear friend, thanks for this video and one point: "Sitar" is an Indian musical instrument. in Iranian music we use ''Setar" & "Tar". also in this category we have "Dotar", "Tanboor", "Divan",...
Thanks for reaction to this old song. Elah e Naz was initially sung by maestro Banan in mid 20 century. His rendition as well as the instrumentation are highly stylized, and deeply romantic in my taste. Would like to hear you reaction on the first version with Banan. .your Farsi pronounciation if good and accurate.
this is a pop cover of a traditional song, the original song is from "Banan" a true maestro and legend in traditional persian music! check out the original song, its kinda melancholic, ironically!
Hello, thank you for the liquid artists. They are one of the best in Iran for them, and they are blind people who have been singing for many years, even though they are blind.
This song originally belonged to one of the most legendary late Iranian singer Banan , moaning for his passed away daughter in an accident you will amaze when hear the original
Don't know is it his choices, his voice histone....but Moeen is melancholy incarnate. He has some songs we had been dancing to for decades, even those are melanchonic
Well Moein is a Iranian classic pop singer. And this song is for around ~30 years ago. The lyrics is even older and was sung by many other singers. People that listen to Moein usually reject singers such as Namjoo. These are very different styles. By now it should be clear that there are many styles in Iran (like most other places in the world) and each style has its own fans. Not only western styles exist in Iranian music but there also Iranian and hybrid styles. Some styles are dead, some are old, some are new and some are updating to find their way into the new generation. Such as the Sonnati/modern songs that you have also reacted to (Some of Homayoun’s songs).
I would really like to watch your analysis on "Ebi". He's probably one of the most if not the most powerful voice in persian contemporary pop music in the last 40 years and would also be different than what you've heard from persian music until now. I recommend the song "Ghorbat"
Hi Mace, I have just recently been introduced to your channel. I must say, I am absolutely amazed at and so very impressed with your open mind, appreciation, and your clear passion for music from all around the world, in particular music from my home country of Iran, Kudos!. As a person who is fully immersed in the American culture and the "American" English, I often notice misinterpretation of Persian to English, especially of slangs. One of the important factors that makes Persian music so special is the lyrics. Often times the word for word translations are done by folks who haven't lived in our mutual cultures (American & Canadian), and they don't convey the true meaning and of the soule of the songs as a whole. I believe you would immensely benefit and appreciate correct interpretations, which will do these incredibly beautiful songs much deserved justice. Please let me know if I, or someone like me could be of assistance in this regard. I am including a request for your reaction, I think you'll enjoy this song. This is a good example of misinterpretation, nevertheless, hopefully you'll enjoy it. Thank you Cam ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XfDNEoa-zTg.html
You know what to react to. You are not like most of youtube channel you do unique stuff. You think. You try. You read. I really like your channel.keep going. And about persian: it’s one of the most beautiful languages in the world
We have a lot of singers that all of them are legends, but when we're talking about voice, Moein's got the most beautiful voice. he needs no perfect and meaningful lyrics, he needs no instrument, he needs no special melody, he just have to sing and we enjoy. there aren't a lot of singers with this advantage.
We had a lot of singers in Iran, some of whom left Iran after the revolution, some of them stayed but....you know imean? For example, there was a female singer named Homeira. It was Mahasti. In my playlist, there are Mahasti songs in the definition of it.
Artist: Mohammad Esfehani Song name: Shekayate Hejran ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bK84s8dJIlE.html Thanks for checking out Moein, u gonna love this one as well, simple melody with Setar and long intro, nice vocals as well. Vocals are from old Persian poem
Just a clarification, sitar is an Indian string instrument, Ravi Shankar is the most well-known player, which has a lot of strings. The Iranian string instrument you're referring to is setar, litteraly meaning 3 strings (although it actually has 4 strings but 2 are always tuned and played together)
I have to say I am witnessing the decline of persian music in 2020s, it used to be SOOOOO MUCH better in 2000s , singers like Moeen, Ghomayshi, Ebi, Habib and Hayedeh . Nowdays with emerge of rap bullcrap , drills and shiit , computer made harsh voices, listening to a Gold oldy is a blessing. I am very worried about the future and at the same time very proud to be priviledged to hear these gems
