FIRST TIME HEARING Morcheeba - Rome Wasn't Built In A Day | REACTION 

Morcheeba's "the Sea" sends me back in time, really chill tune, possibly even hypnotic, just hits me in the right spot, at that time there was a lot of chill / lounge music going around. one of my faves.

Great band, I saw them live 3 times, recently last summer. Their first two albums, "Who Can You Trust?" and "Big Calm" are among the best trip-hop albums.

So I worked with Paul Godfrey in a studio once where he played me the demos he was fielding at that time to RCA, Paul is the sonic genius, Ross is the musician and Skye was the vocal talent they stumbled across. They also worked on an album with David Byrne of Talking Heads (feelings), although Paul has now retired from the band and it’s Ross and Skye now. Paul is a super talented nice guy. Their catalogue is huge and varied, glad to see you dipping your toes not something new. ❤

I was fortunate enough to have my buddy take me to see them live for my birthday 20 something years back - I'll never forget it. Intimate setting outdoors near Hollywood bowl but smaller. They have a lot of good songs from that era Zero 7 is another must band with Sia and Jose Gonzales etc. #Destiny #Home #Spinning

Welcome to trip hop, I have to recommend their entire Big Calm album, it's a tropical vacay via music! But for what most consider the pinnacle of the genre, you have to listen to Portishead's Dummy album, Massive Attack's Mezzanine album and Tricky's Maxinquaye. A few highlights, Portishead's, Roads, Glory Box, Sour Times and Strangers, highly recommend watching the Live in Roseland NYC Concert version whenever possible, epic performance and well worth a watch start to finish. For Massive Attack, tracks Dissolved Girl, Black Milk, Group Four, Angel and Teardrop; lastly Tricky, tracks Aftermath, Hell is Around the Corner, Overcome and Pumpkin.

Morcheeba, FANTASTIC. Sad how many bands go under the radar of many people. Triggerfinger (Belgium), Orange Blossom (France) or even The fun loving criminals (US). Always a joy to see one of those in a reaction, rather than Babymetal for the 10000th time.
