Been waiting on this one. Ray Vaughn, Cyhi & Fred Da Godson have phenomenal freestyles as well. Rays is with LA leakers, Cyhi is with sway and Fred’s is with Flex.
Mysonne is insane! This is a real freestyle he is insane with his vocabulary and words. Mysonne could have had a great rap career. He got signed to ruffryders back in the days but went 8 years in prison for something he said he didnt do but didnt want to snitch. Sometime after that he signed to the game under black wall street...but he didnt wanna go mainstream. I think he found out how dirty the rap/music industrie is...now hes a activist for black peoples rights...
This is a freestyle. This dude is taking you through his life, he doesn't have to write it. Hes probably written some of these lines, and spit them to rehearse as well as with other friends. But he's putting it together, you can tell when he slides off the story and comes back. Its impressive dude is top tier
Ross is by far my favorite of the bunch, you are all so amazing for so many reasons, just remember that no matter what happens, Ross is your friend for life and he will never, ever forsake you, and Trust Me, In the Land of Snakes, He's a Gift From Above, The Divine, Jesus Christ, God. Good Luck, Be Blessed, Peace Be With You.
He has another freestyle it’s labeled as a Fat Joe freestyle but it’s really a Mysonne freestyle. He goes off again on that. Y’all should check that out.
His one with fat Joe is actually better. Both are fire, but that second one is ridiculous. Not super heavy metaphors and similes, but some of the realest shit you’ll ever hear in your life.
I still think Freddie Gibbs la leakers freestyle one of the flyest shit I’ve ever seen. Was holding his son on his lap the whole freestyle and his son ain’t even blink or flinch while his pops flamed that bihhhh
Man I don’t know any of my mates in Australia who heard of Mysonne, I’m a fan since his hopsin remix and then heard this a few years later and realised he a beast. Glad you guys finding that gold
I just found you guys today, and I think you would flip over this 90's rock/funk/metal band made up of 4 black dudes called, "Living Colour". Their album, "Vivid" is nothing less than amazing. One of my favorites is the bass-heavy "Funny Vibe". Please consider giving it a listen! I bet it would be a reaction to remember.
Fire 🔥. Y'all better do Mysonne by Survival of the fittest beat. Too much facts in that song too. 90's product here. Nothing like today's rap. Mysonne is sick.
Background: Mysonne was a part of Ruff Ryderz in the early 2000s. Until he caught a charge & ended up doing like 7 years in Rikers. He got out a couple years ago & was back on his rap shit when this dropped… he’s been nice
michael irvin stabbed his own teammate in the neck with a pair of scissors because the teammate would not get out of a barber chair. cowboys paid off the other player to make it go away.
Just like a professional athlete, you reach different levels than regular people that is a freestyle. If you know, you know if he was ever good in anything, you would know other people not on the same level as you with certain things you can make the impossible be possible when you reach the next level, it doesn’t matter what it is some people get better some people never reach that level.
And that beat of that freestyle is this 👇 Cam'ron ft Jay-Z and Juelz Santana - Welcome to New York City If you want React to this Music too It's Dope I'm a good Hip hop and Rap Lover...
He was signed to violator records and mgmt as a rapper he was supposed to be that dude but he wound up doing some time and now he’s an activist and still reps hip hop and his name from back then still opens door to hip hop for him to go h is why you see him doing his thang young sirs 🎉😂
You guys don’t know Malcolm X / Detroit Red? “Going from Malcolm x to red again” went over all their heads. Basically he’s saying don’t make me switch back to the street gangster that he was back in the day. Dope bar imo.
Yall need to review his Flex freestyle with Fat Joe, he killed it. His new freestyle on Sway is perfect too. He wrote and memorized these. He doesn't release his freestyle or his raps over people's beats as songs.
Mysonne can spit on the spot, he's street smart and really about that life that's why he get mad at these little young niggas spitting shit they ain't about. Y'all gotta listen to "Start from scratch" on Mase's Album, a view point from real Gs who about that life, Mysonne, Shyne, Loon all did long bids. The song is something can reflect on, it's fucking FIRE 🔥🔥🔥
Freestyle doesn't mean not written, just means no particular subject or structure like improv... most MCs put together different rhymes off the top and let it fly.... twist and turns in the flow
To answer y'alls questions - MOST of these rappers are not rapping off the top of their head, especially on radio shows. Rappers used to be able to write a freestyle for a radio show and use it at every stop of their press run. But now we watch so closely, they can only spit it once and its done. I don't think that makes it less dope, the game just changed a bit. The definition of "freestyle" has shifted many times, and means different things to different people. To y'all (and me), it means off the top of the head. To many, it means rapping a written rhyme on someone else's beat. Rapping over someone's song and calling it a freestyle gets around needing to clear it with the original artist. Early mixtapes used to do this a lot and that's when the shift in the definition really solidified. The only rappers that you can probably see rap off the top are Harry Mack, King Los, Lupe Fiasco, Supernatural, Logic, Snoop, and a lot of Houston rappers: Lil Keke, Scarface, Lil Flip, RIFF RAFF. My rule of thumb is: if the topics are all too closely related and the rhyme is making a bit too much sense, its probably written. You'll probably hear a couple ideas stringed together in a real freestyle, but when the whole verse has intricate rhymes and it all relates to one topic telling a story? Nah. Rappers can be very talented, but they're not superheroes.
