So this is definitely based on a true story. Big was warned that somebody was plotting to rob him. He also was getting prank death threats. He said someone called and said they were coming to get him, so he stayed in front of the crib all day waiting for them to show up.

Everybody even Pac himself thought the song was about him considering what the song was about. And Big just stayed quiet while everyone speculated & never came out publicly to deny it wasn't about Pac until over a year later in 96 after Pac started Bombing on Big & his whole Bad Boy Camp. Pac even talked about the Who Shot Ya Song in many interviews during their beef in 1996.
