First time hearing PENTATONIX ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ REACTION!! 

Don't worry about putting up filters or blurring the video. Most of us Pentaholics have viewed their videos so many times that we can close our eyes and know exactly what's going on. Glad you're making this wonderful journey.

So glad you used the word "tribute" - so many folks miss that - it is a thank you note by way of performance, rather than a simple cover. Brian May got the message, and shared it.

Mitch does the guitar part without the megaphone when they're live. It is just a prop. Love watching your reactions as you enjoy what you're watching and listening to.

There is a short 'behind the scenes' video for this if you would like to check it out. I've heard that Brian May sent this out on his social media with the single word 'Enjoy.' and , of course, the starry sky was homage to Dr. May who is an astrophysicist. For newer original songs, check the list on their album released in Feb. 2021. All the songs are originals.

They have two albums of (mostly) originals -- albums are "Pentatonix" (2015) and "The Lucky Ones" (2021). There is a 15-minute live video of a 2016 concert (PopSpring) where they performed three originals from the 2015 album and their "Evolution of Michael Jackson"; the sound is really good.

Out of all their originals I think you'll enjoy Love Again the most...definitely check out Daft Punk...but put those on hold for the rest of the month and check out some of their Xmas stuff. They are known for re-inventing Xmas songs and 90% of them will sound completely different than you've ever heard them b4. Even if Xmas songs aren't ur thing, plz try just 1 of the following suggestions and see for yourself. If u are blown away like i think you'll be, try some of the others. They are all upbeat/fast/fun songs. *Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy (won Grammy) *12 Days of Xmas *Carol of the Bells (they also just did a live version on their Xmas under the stars special like a week ago) *O Come All Ye Faithful *Deck the Halls *God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen *Joy to the World Obviously there are a ton more, including some powerful ones like Mary Did You Know, The Prayer, Amazing Grace but try 1 or 2 of the fun ones...I promise you that u won't be disappointed.

Just when you think you’ve heard everything, you get Mitch slapped again. Every member of this group (Scott, Kirsten, Mitch, Kevin, Avi and his replacement Matt) are so incredibly talented. They never cease to amaze me.

My favorite original Pentatonix song is "Sing." It's a ton of fun. Great reaction!

I really ENJOYED how delighted you were with them. Daft Punk, Love Again and Sing are originals.

Mitch, Kirstie (rhymes with thirsty) and Scott have been together since about 10 years old. Kirstie and Mitch are chameleons and constantly chasing their looks. They are so great at singing together and not stepping on each other's vocals. Kevin the beatboxer and cellist also played in Carnegie Hall twice before 14, he also plays the saxophone and speaks fluent Mandarin. Avi the bass while no longer in the group, it was nothing wrong, he wanted to go solo but they got Matt Salle who had a voice like liquid silk and was a great addition to the group. I was around when Bohemian Rhapsody came out first time around. It was the most amazing thing I had heard or have ever heard since. When I first watched Pentatonix do this I wasn’t expecting it to be anywhere near this good. I had to keep going back over bit’s because I couldn’t believe there were no instruments. The guitar section with the megaphone I just laughed out loud and said no way! It is absolutely out of this world. An amazing tribute to an amazing band by an amazing band. I wonder how Brian feels knowing all these years he didn’t realise need his guitar, he just needed a Mitch? 😂 😂 😂 I feel sure that Freddie wherever he might be is looking down on this and smiling. I think he would definitely have approved. I did wonder about the use of the sofa…but you just solved that - it is their nod to Wayne‘s World because they were squashed into that car weren’t they? That’s why the sofa moves. Absolutely brilliant and absolutely nuts 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

The reason people want you to see Daft Punk is because it was their first Emmy. But honestly anything from Pentatonix is going to be great. They have many styles and genres so if you want to know if they have done a type of song (ex: Country- Jolene, Rap- Can't hold us, Christmas- too many to mention.) just ask and we will help you out. For the holidays, a really good original song is "Thank you". I also love "Coffee in Bed" which is a banger and "Love Again". There are many but these are a few of my favorite originals. Loved your reaction.

Thank you for one of the best reactions I’ve heard for this song. It is really a tribute to Queen because they worked on this for years and wouldn’t record it until they thought it was perfect in their eyes. I love your laughter and genuine love and respect for this group. They have several albums of original music to choose from but one of my favorites is LOVE AGAIN. 💕

Love Again is my favorite of their original songs, and I can see many others recommending it also. I guess acapella EDM would describe its style (their fashion style in the video is also noteworthy).

I've never seen Wayne's World, but am happy that the movie brought Bohemian Rhapsody to the public awareness again. I first heard Bohemian Rhapsody in 1975 on my first Queen album: A Night At The Opera. Yes, I'm old... ;)

They have a ton of originals... 2 albums and at least one original on just about every album. The total is near 40. Their most recent original album was dropped this year, but I have to be honest and say my favorites didn't get videos. There are, I dunno, mote than half a dozen videos, though... Happy Now, Coffee In Bed, Be My Eyes... The Lucky Ones and Love Me When I Don't have semi-live videos (live performances where the video was edited post-production). They also have collaborations with the KPop group ATEEZ and the JPop group Little Glee Monsters - A Little Space and Midnight In Tokyo. There's a lot of effects on those songs, though so it's a kind of different experience. If you'd like to see some of their older originals, and one of the coolest things to react to - in 2016 MTV recorded their 4 song set from a performance at Popsprings in Japan. There are 3 originals (Cracked, Can't Sleep Love and Water) plus their Evolution Of Michael Jackson. The video is only about 15 minutes and it's awesome. Can't Sleep Love has its own official video, but that isn't as good as the PopSprings performance because they had the rapper Tink featured and Mitch sings her verse in the live performances. Since it's Christmastime, I'll also mention that they have three original Christmas songs. That's Christmas To Me, Thank You and Evergreen. Evergreen is the title track from their current Christmas album and doesn't have an official video but there are 3 or four professional quality live performances from appearances on TV shows and iHeart Radio. Side Note: At least one member has co-written on all but one of their originals over the years. The one they didn't write was written by Coldplay (Take Me Home, I think).

PTX only covers songs that they admire so yes it’s a tribute. The. PTX rabbit hole is wide and deep. They are simply fantastic. They work very hard to put out only quality content. Not a bad song in the bunch. Thank you for a great reaction ❤️🎄Merry Christmas

The first time I heard Bohemian Rhapsody I was like, “What in the 🌎 am I listening to?” It was just so different than anything I had ever heard before. Besides the normal songs tgat everyone always request (which I suggest, too), I love “Come Along” and their originals, “That’s Christmas To Me”, “Thank You”, and “Sing” … judt to name a few. Love that you are so joyful when watching PTX.

Pop Spring 2016 is live performances of 3 original songs & 1 "Evolution of....." It's 15 minutes of pure joy. Many other reactors have done it. Pentaholics love it each & every time.

So glad you’re loving the PTX rabbit hole. You asked about some of their original work - I’d like to recommend something totally different. They are Uber-popular for any and all of their Christmas songs, but last year they brought something unusual to the season. Scott composed a song simply titled “Thank You” with his partner. When the other members heard it, they encouraged him to add it to their Christmas catalog. Just imagine - a new Christmas song in the midst of political strife and a worldwide pandemic…and yet it touches the heart in ways that go far beyond anyone’s expectations. It also introduces you to one of their rare performances with instruments; Scott on piano and Kevin with his cello. I think you’d appreciate it.

They have a lot of original music. The lucky ones album is all original. Anchor is my favorite but no video for it. Coffee in Bed really shows off the beatboxing.

If you’re interested in some great live performances, the Popspring performance from 2016 includes a couple of originals plus their evolution of MJ. Will give you an idea of how amazing they are live.

That's the best thing:not a cover,a real tribute.so loving and respectful towards the original.(imagine the star wars sequels had shown this respect...)

for original songs, from their newer album with the current lineup i would say to react to either be my eyes or coffee in bed. for something older, with their old bass singer avi that was in this video, i would go with can't sleep love or love again. unfortunately some of my favorites of their originals don't have music videos! there's so much content they definitely have 10+ albums. and btw they've only had one member change, just the bass singer, but a lot of them look different in each video because they span about 10 years so don't get confused!

I've seen this before and it is incredible but everything they do is incredible. I'm lmao that I'm so much older than you. Hearing this song in Wayne's World was a flashback for me, not a childhood memory. 🤣 We had guys on the band bus in hs who would entertain us with this song a capella though not nearly to this degree of amazing.
